Chapter 93: Chapter 92 Jin’s Strength (5th Update)
The power of the explosion was astonishing,
and the small mushroom cloud that rose in the glare of the fire actually took on the shape of a red lotus.
The villagers who had stepped into the first floor of the house didn’t even have a complete limb left,
and those within five meters of the building were also losing arms and legs, their movements limited in the short term… and there was even one unlucky fellow whose Pathogen Core within was pierced by a flying rock from the explosion, dead on the spot.
The situation was different for the two people also inside the building,
The gentleman’s clothes could automatically detect the exact location of the source of the explosion, assess its approximate power, and add a honeycomb-like blast-proof structure between the layers of clothing.
The core material, the “Gentleman’s Skin,” also released a trace of ancient aura, assisting the rapid formation and stability of this structure.
In the instant of the explosion,
The coat had already enveloped the whole body.
The shock from the explosion was blocked by the special structure of the clothing, with only 10% to 20% of the impact force transmitted into the body.
Jin perfectly harnessed the propelling force of the explosion, dropping the two to the outermost layer of the encirclement of villagers.
She even took advantage of the embracing posture,
using the red lotus mushroom cloud formed by the explosion and the wildly flying remains of the Patients as a backdrop,
the moment they landed, arching her back downward.
With a full arch, Jin, through her mask, looked up at Yi Chen right above her,
“How was that, exciting, huh? Now these guys are surrounded by us, the party starts now!”
No sooner had she spoken,
than the nearest villager had already approached,
His beard covering his entire face, his spine curved, his arms thickened into bear paws.
Twisting his entire body’s muscles, he swung a heavy slap capable of breaking tree trunks, wanting to smash the two people before him to pieces.
But Jin seemed very relaxed,
first disengaging from Yi Chen’s embrace,
facing the oncoming huge bear paw, she not only had no intention of dodging, but even opened her own palm and swung it with equal speed.
The scene more resembled a ‘high-five’ between friends.
At the moment of palm contact, judging purely by physique, Jin’s arm would have been instantaneously broken, along with her body being flung away.
But then… Boom! @@novelbin@@
A small bright explosion occurred at the point of contact,
The villager’s entire thick bear arm and half of his body were blasted into meat paste,
the unharmed Jin stepped forward with an elegant rhythm,
her arm gliding past the villager’s blown-open wound, across the stomach sac and intestines, and pulling out a fetal-like Pathological Core.
“An induced disease Patient, huh? No wonder it’s so weak… such hastily induced bodies have no value.”
With a pinch of her fingers,
the Pathological farmer died instantly.
The next second, three more villagers had Jin surrounded,
either with a mouth full of tearing sharp teeth, or with four hands each holding hay forks, or with a burst abdomen with suction cup-like adhesive tentacles.
Whoosh!
All they felt was a phantom flash before their eyes,
Jin’s speed was entirely beyond those villagers, even several levels higher.
By the time they made an attack, Jin was already three meters away, walking towards the location of the Pig Head Butcher.
Different parts of their bodies all showed a finger-shaped indentation, as though they’d been poked.
Red lines spread from the indentations across their bodies, culminating in a Red Lotus blossoming from their navels!
As they turned to pursue Jin,
Boom!
Their bellies exploded, with their remaining lower halves either collapsing directly to the ground, or being blasted onto the twisted branches nearby, or being flung at other villagers, knocking them away.
Upon hearing the explosion, Jin turned her head to look at Yi Chen,
“Hey William! These are all induced disease Patients, too boring to deal with. Only that Pig Head looks somewhat interesting… I’ll leave the rest to you.
I’m going to have some fun with Pig Head.”
With that,
Jin leapt atop a tree beside him, jumping between branches, moving closer to the direction of the Pig Head Butcher.
With Jin’s temporary disappearance, the seemingly less intelligent villagers immediately shifted their gaze to the other invading young man, gradually drawing closer.
“Huff…”
Yi Chen set down his carry-on case with smooth motions,
unfastened his sleeve garters, and folded his cuffs in three sections, securing them above his elbows.
He unlocked the case with his thumb and pulled out the hand axe with a black handle and a silver blade.
As he got to his feet,
he pressed his index finger against the handle and flicked his wrist to initiate an instant rotation,
whoosh~the hand axe began to spin in the palm of his hand,
and by the time he had fully stood up, the axe had completed five rotations and was firmly grasped.
The heat generated by the spin caused a slight sweat in the palm, increasing friction and completing the warmup.
“Induced Disease Patients? No wonder this feeling is a bit strange.”
Yi Chen had read about the term in books.
‘Induced Pathological’
It’s a special infectious ability possessed by some Severe Patients and Open Source Patients, which allows them to rapidly induce individuals to transition through the infection stage and become Patients through ‘direct granting’ methods like direct sowing or Pathogen Core sharing.
The process is extremely short, with a high success rate,
capable of creating a large number of Patients with enslaved thoughts in a short period.
It’s a bit like animals that have been rushed to growth with hormones; although they seem physically mature, their flesh and bones remain at juvenile stages, and they might not even be able to stand properly.
However,
Yi Chen had no intention of underestimating his opponents.
With his right hand, he held the hand axe,
left hand manipulating plants,
coordinating with Vision’s sight,
he moved agilely among the villagers, dodging at critical moments and counterattacking, his actions almost without a shred of excess.
Since the building explosion had killed more than half of the villagers, and a few were taken down by Jin, the number of remaining villagers did not exceed ten.
Having gone through the experience at Twilight Clinic, plus the month of Physical exchange with teacher Zede, Yi Chen’s combat skills had risen another level.
Dealing with these induced Patients was not an issue at all.
The only downside was one thing:
There was no useful information in the brains of these villagers; not only was there nothing involving the “Church of Rebirth,” but even their own memories were incomplete, murky and unclear, with no value in analysis and sorting.
By the time Yi Chen pulled the axe from the spine of the last villager and wiped off the blood with a plant-made cloth,
Thud!
A heavy sound of falling came from directly in front.
He looked up.
The most troublesome Pig Head Butcher among the villagers lay heavily on the ground.
Jin was squatting next to the butcher’s massive body, engaged in an indescribable and bizarre behavior, using her unique Professional Characteristics to perform “Physical Forging.”
Eventually,
a meticulously cleaned pig head, reduced to half its original size, was crafted,
and, hanging from a metal hook extending from the neck, was held in Jin’s hand.
“Since I never have suitable materials, I usually make my weapons temporarily during missions. That’s also quite good, as it always gives me enough novelty… This pig head is barely passable.”
As she spoke,
Jin inserted her right hand entirely inside the pig head,
pulled on the metal hook outside its neck, similar to pulling an engine cord.
Swish!
A White Bone Saw Blade, made of compressed and refined bone, suddenly popped out from the top of the pig head, approximately a meter and a half long, spinning rapidly.
‘Pig Head Chainsaw’
This scene left Yi Chen stunned,
“So this is what a ‘Human Body Weapons Master’ is…”
What do you think?
