Chapter 280: Mad Dog Phantom Character.
"Please, tell me you have some sort of backup plan?"
The Centaur prince said as he found himself on the receiving end of a newfound pressure, something he hadn’t experienced during his short stay at the War God Mage Academy.
While he had been aware of the presence of powerful mages within the academy who could potentially rival him, the mage standing before him now wasn’t someone he had anticipated at all.
This meant that there were naturally talented stealth mages still hidden within the academy, and this realization made the Centaur Prince’s face change in an instant.
Uncertainty clouded his mind, as he couldn’t fathom how many more of these skilled mages were lurking in the shadows of the academy.
Even Terran, standing beside him, was visibly taken aback by the mage’s appearance and the fact that his face remained concealed, but due to the academy Insignia
On his chest he was sure that the mage in front of them was clearly a high member of the academy.
"Who are you?" Terran asked cautiously, refraining from any rash actions towards the newly arrived mage.
Just by his presence alone, made it evident to them that he was the most powerful mage either of them had encountered.
His ability to stealthily appear before them without them detecting a thing served as undeniable proof of his superiority to them.
"You do not need to know my identity, What you must understand is that you are prohibited from disrupting Igor’s seclusion training,"
the mage responded firmly, his words leaving no room for negotiation.
"You’re still spewing nonsense, I know he isn’t in any sort of cultivation; this is just an excuse to protect him from my revenge," Terran retorted,
causing the Centaur prince to wish he could teleport to Terran’s side and give him a dose of reality, by slapping the living daylight off him.
Before the Centaur prince could intervene, the mage swiftly swung his hand through the air, as if preparing to strike Terran.
Within seconds, what transpired left Terran stunned, his mouth agape.
All of the surrounding elements seemed to converge and materialize into a small hand, hurtling towards his face.
And Despite his instinct to move and escape the imminent danger, Terran found himself rooted to the spot, as if his feet were trapped in mid-air.
"Shit, Terran!, He’s a (Peak) Tier 9 Mage on the verge of breaking all mortal bounds and entering the monarch realm."
" How dare you offend such a monstrous being!" the Centaur prince exclaimed in anger, when he realized that even he was unable to move when the mage swung his hand through the air.
The Centaur prince had been able to gauge the mage’s cultivation level the moment he attacked and had intended to escape,
but he, too, found himself rooted in place, just like Terran, It was as if the mage had tapped into the very fabric of existence, imprisoning them both and ensuring their escape was impossible.
"Arrrrgggh!"
Just as the mage’s hand was about to strike Terran’s face, a blackish red light surrounded Terran’s body, colliding with the mage’s palm formed from the heaven and earth Mana and shattering it instantly. @@novelbin@@
Trembling, the mage swiftly turned his back to Terran in an attempt to flee.
But his efforts were in vain. Your next chapter is on NovelBin.Côm
The blackish red light that engulfed Terran transformed into a massive black dog with three heads.
The dog’s fierce appearance could almost be mistaken for that of a demon, but when Terran saw the name on the dog’s collar, he was certain of its identity.
"Bark!"
The dog let out a powerful bark, and in front of the escaping mage, a black hole materialized, devouring him before he could mount a defense.
Another portal appeared in front of the dog, and the mage who hide his face with a fog, and had been running, suddenly found himself face to face with the three-headed dog he had tried to evade.
It took him just a second to realize that the dog had transported him using some type of special ability.
"Spare me, Mad Dog!" the mage pleaded,
but all he received was a swat from the dog’s long tail, sending him spiraling into a nearby mountain.
His body crashed into the ground, buried in its depths.
The three-headed dog turned its gaze toward Terran, its expression displaying no signs of having just defeated a peak Tier 9 Mage in just two moves.
"I don’t have much time using this method, but listen to me," the middle head of the dog spoke, taking Terran by surprise before he collected himself and recognized the voice.
"Master Rex!" Terran bowed in reverence.
"I heard what happened, which is why I activated what I had previously left on you, You are not allowed to attack Igor."
" You will have your revenge later when I’m back in the academy, But understand this, if anything happens to Igor, you won’t be able to stop the wrath of his father."
The dog continued speaking, explaining that the phantom image he had secretly placed on Terran was about to fade as he had infused it with a part of his consciousness, which has made its duration to cut by more than half
He instructed Terran to go to the Abyss Realm and find his disciples, telling him that hopefully they would still be alive when he arrived.
Terran’s face displayed reluctance, but Master Rex interrupted his protest.
"Sometimes, not everything can be resolved with violence, You need to understand that. Leave now before someone stronger comes."
" This image can only exert half of my strength, and if that old man arrives, I won’t be able to protect you. They are likely seeking an excuse to kill those loyal to me. Don’t give them a reason to do so."
Terran nodded, his expression resolute, and he hastily changed his destination, now focused on finding his disciples.
As he contemplated the situation, Terran realized that this should have been his top priority from the beginning.
Had he not been consumed by rage, he would have pursued his disciples first, rather than going after Igor.
"You fell into their trap from the start, Perhaps they didn’t anticipate my assistance. They were likely counting on those five mages to kill you, right?, considering they also knew you would attack this Igor guy in rage"
the Centaur prince asked, flying alongside Terran and adopting a laid-back attitude.
"Hmm," Terran responded with a nod, feeling no need to provide a further answer.
" It was with no doubt that the mysterious figure behind the fog was unsettled, After he Realised that the five mages had been defeated, Which had led to him revealing himself. "
" It was clear that his defeat meant his boss would soon make an appearance. "
"Thankfully, we made a quick escape. I can’t risk losing my life for strangers." the Centaur said
The Centaur’s inquiry made Terran give him an awkward glance, wondering if the Centaur prince’s questions were helping or worsening the situation.
"So, what race is the person who saved us?, Even with only half his powers manifested, he displayed incredible strength!"
The Centaur persisted, causing Terran to curse inwardly at the sudden curiosity of the Centaur Prince.
"He is human, of course!"
"No, based on the energy being emitted, I can sense that this person is some kind of hybrid, It seems they have a canine bloodline, albeit diluted but remarkably pure," the Centaur analyzed further.
"I’m not entirely sure about your speculation, but the person who appeared in the form of that dog’s phantom image is my master, Rex, also known as the Mad Dog of the War God Mage Academy,"
Terran responded, attempting to clarify the situation, but the name kept resounding in the ears of the Centaur Prince as his curiosity just won’t let him rest until he has learnt all about the Mad Dog.
What do you think?
