Chapter 479 479: Growth (2).
The leader of the sea demon had underestimated Alec's resilience and fighting ability, as humans typically didn't have an advantage against other races especially ones with unique racial talents, so the leader was taken aback.
As throughout their battle, Alec showed no signs of fatigue, almost as if he possessed an endless reserve of stamina, adding to the leader's astonishment, Alec's skin proved impervious to a Tier 5 attack even as a Tier 4 Mage, an extraordinary feat for a human as no Tier 5 human would try taking hiss attacks head on without no armour on.
Secretly, the leader hoped that this might all be a hallucination, but the sight of Alec's determined and intense gaze, despite the numerous cuts and flowing blood o his skin, dispelled any doubt, and he realised this was undeniably real.
" Since you desire death so ardently, allow me to teach you why you should never provoke the wrong race," the leader declared, summoning another water trident, this time in a light green shade, he took a moment to observe Alec's cautious reaction to the new water element particles encompassing the weapon.
In a swift and unexpected movement, the sea demon leader charged at Alec with tremendous speed, catching him off guard, and thrusting his rotating trident towards Alec's chest, the leader intended to strike a fatal blow.
However, Alec quickly crossed his hands in front of his chest and summoned stone fists, extending them up to his shoulders, his determination to shield himself from the trident's piercing attack was unwavering.
Yet, the outcome wasn't what Alec had anticipated, as the sharp points of the trident pierced into his stone fists, a mysterious force lifted him into the air, causing him to rotate at a dizzying speed alongside the weapon, and the situation took a sudden and dangerous turn.
"Hump!"
The force from the sea demon leader's trident sent Alec hurtling into yet another building, amidst the wreckage, Alec coughed and struggled to his feet, his body aching from the impact, despite the bruises and the pain, a smile played upon his lips as he locked eyes with the sea demon leader.
"What's so amusing?, while you may possess the innate defensive strength of a Tier 5 Mage, there is no way you can defeat me, little boy, i have vast experience outweighing yours," taunted the sea demon leader, a hint of arrogance in his voice.
Unperturbed, Alec retorted, "You talk too much."
The sea demon leader, undeterred by Alec's words, waved his hands, summoning countless particles of green water, these particles seamlessly formed into temporary water serpents, seemingly infused with life.
"Just you wait, you won't be laughing when my variant water element becomes the cause of your demise, although I have only recently awakened to its power and my control is lacking, I should be able to kill you within these few minutes, sending a message to other human mages who dare to encroach upon my territory," boasted the sea demon leader.
His familiarity with the nearby cities' organizations and mid-ranking mages allowed him to deduce that Alec was not a native of this region.
"You really do talk too much, now, you shall face the consequences of your actions. BIND!" Alec interrupted, swiftly executing a series of intricate hand signs. It was then that the sea demon leader realized something was awry with their surroundings.
The ground beneath them appeared to be covered in a blood-like array, and both he and Alec stood precisely in the center.
The sea demon leader knew he hadn't cast such a complex array himself, leading to the realization that Alec was the one responsible for this unexpected turn of events.
That is when he realised that his realm was rapidly dropping`, the sea demon leader struggled to comprehend the drastic drop in his realm till he reached the Peak of Tier 4 realm as the sea demon leader's spell began to crumble, it became evident that his current realm lacked the capacity to sustain the power the variant spell wield, Alec's words echoed in his mind, instilling a sense of uncertainty.
"You see, while I possess the power to resist a Peak Tier 5 lifeform and Mage, it's no secret that no matter how many times I beat and smash them, I won't be able to defeat or kill them due to their evolved physique and overwhelming firepower," Alec calmly explained.
A glimmer of determination flickered in his eyes as he continued,
"On the other hand, my physical prowess is on par with theirs, but unfortunately, my destructive powers have not yet reached the level necessary to bring about your demise, However, I have devised a way to level the playing field."

In that moment, Alec invoked a skill causing the array to emit an intensified crimson glow.
"Now, you are trapped within this array until you succeed in killing me, this array possesses the ability to bring anyone one realm ahead of me down to my level, ensuring a fair fight," Alec declared confidently, a smile gracing his lips.
As he moved his hands, resonant clanging sounds filled the air.
Suddenly, a multitude of chains, seemingly forged from blood, emerged from beneath the ground within the array.
They snaked their way towards the sea demon leader, who fiercely resisted their encroachment, but with his realm drastically reduced, he found himself lacking the strength he once possessed, making him unable to break free from the chains' vice-like grip.
"Foolish notion of fairness! You're using this array to attack!" the leader of the sea demons bellowed at the top of his voice.
In a desperate attempt, he transformed his hands into countless tentacles, thrusting and writhing in an effort to break through, Yet, his defiance only provoked the array to send forth additional blood chains from the ground, ensnaring his tentacles as well.
"Life isn't fair, you bastard, even if I release you, you'd just die faster, do you believe that?" Alec said, looking down at the sea demon who had finally fallen into his trap.
"Then release me and see how I tear your face off," the sea demon leader boasted, Alec gazed at him, surprised by the outburst, but nonchalantly flicked his hand, freeing the creature from the binding Blood Chains.
He found it rather amusing that the leader of the sea demons, who couldn't defeat him at his peak Tier 5 strength, thought he could handle Alec while his own power was restricted to the peak of Tier 4.
Despite the sea demon's experience and combat skills, Alec was convinced that the creature was as good as dead against him now, the sea demon leader lunged forward, closing the distance rapidly, his tentacles merged into a larger fist, surrounded by a water bubble, and he hurled it toward Alec.
Alec smiled, sidestepping with ease and allowing the fist to miss him by a hair's breadth.
He countered with a casual jab of his right hand, delivering a fiery punch to the sea demon leader's face, the impact was amplified as a fist of flames materialized, sending the sea demon leader sprawling through the air.
Alec observed the fallen foe and shook his head, The sea demon leader's movements had slowed due to his restrained realm, meaning Alec could now effortlessly dodge any attack thrown at him, even without his mental domain active.
"Boring," Alec muttered.
Closing the gap, Alec saw that the sea demon leader had nothing left to offer, he aimed a punch at the creature's chest, as the sea demon leader braced for impact, he soon realized the attack was a feint.
As Alec swiftly retracted his fist and delivered a head-butt to the sea demon's head, rattling him with the force of the collision.
Bang!
Alec clenched his hand and pulled the sea demon leader closer, driving his knee into the creature's midsection, then, gripping the sea demon's waist tightly, Alec interlocked his fingers, as he turned so his chest faced the sea demon leader's back, and bent his knees, lowering his hips, and he explosively lifted the sea demon leader off the ground, arching his back as he executed a perfect suplex.
The sea demon leader felt as though his head might crack from the impact, and before he could recover, he was hoisted and slammed down a second time.
Lying on his back, the sea demon leader knew he was defeated, as he turned to face Alec, he saw his right hand raised with a red scythe floating above it.
"Any last words?" Alec asked.
"You are going to die—"
The moment Alec heard the sea demon's voice rise, suspecting a curse, he unleashed the Blood Killing Intent, which had taken the form of a scythe, and decapitated the sea demon leader.
After the deed was done, the scythe of Blood Killing Intent transformed into a cape that settled on Alec's shoulders before dissipating into tiny particles, these particles were absorbed by Alec's Bloody Changdao, which hung at his waist.
