Chapter 455: Chapter 10: Calamity Enchantress Pandora! (6.1k)_3
“So Father God, where can I find him?”
“He and his mother, Alcmene, are currently exiled on Pithoigia Island.”
“I shall heed your oracle, and I will not fail the trust you have placed in me!”
The youth named “Perseus” then stood up, ready to descend to the Lower Realm, when Zeus stopped him.
“Wait, this journey is perilous; take these divine tools for your protection.”
Immediately, Zeus struck the ground with the Divine Staff, and silver-white arcs of lightning hit Perseus, transforming into six divine tools.
These were: Winged Shoes that allowed him to walk on air, a Metamorphic Cloak that altered the wearer’s appearance, a Bronze Mirror Shield that could nullify and reflect magic to some degree, the Serpent-Scythe Hepa which could sever the immortal, and a bag of the Divine Wind for absorption and attack.
Seeing Perseus fully armed before him, Zeus nodded in satisfaction.
Among the early demigod offspring, Perseus may not have been the strongest, but he was certainly the most intelligent and had the greatest potential. Therefore, following his accomplishments in the human world, Zeus granted him ascension to deities, allowing him to enjoy immortality in the Celestial Realm—the present Perseus Constellation.
Meanwhile, by kinship, Hercules’ mother, Alcmene, was Perseus’ granddaughter, and Hercules was Perseus’ great-grandson, who revered this ancestor of his deeply.
With these two relationships, entrusting Hercules, the Child of Fate, to Perseus for guidance was most fitting.
Seated on the Divine Throne, Zeus watched Perseus’s departing figure, stretched out his right hand, clenched it into a fist, his face beaming with assured triumph.
The Perseus Constellation and the future Warrior Constellation?
With these two aces in his hand, even if the gods fade away, Fate still lies in my palm!
The Divine King, having set his plans, leaned on the Divine Throne, propped up his chin, and through the clouds, coldly overlooked the earth teeming with humans, like ants.
His vision encompassed cities rising, seas being explored, and the race known as humans crossing rivers, conquering mountains, and audaciously striving toward the heights of the sky.
How arrogant, how blasphemous!
Zeus was in a great mood, his face darkened, and his eyes sparkled with silver-white flashes of fiery thunder.
He despised these creations, almost identical to the gods, and through their wildness and defiance—he who had already broken his own fate—Zeus could vaguely see the future after the era of gods faded.
Thus, this King of the gods repeatedly took action, unleashing conflicts and calamities, trying to eradicate this group that unsettled him.
Yet, though they were insignificant as chaff and fragile as ants, they possessed a resilience and vitality that Zeus could not comprehend.
Even though repeatedly plunged into strife and calamity, they always managed to burst forth with remarkable unity and courage in their darkest moments, overcoming the darkness to welcome the dawn.
Now, as time progressed, humanity was emerging as a force not to be ignored.
The Pantheon of Gods at Olympus superficially maintained their pride, but in reality, to expand their influence further, competing for worship, they had long been descending to earth, bestowing gifts upon humans to gain their worship and faith, thereby strengthening themselves.
A bunch of shortsighted fools!
Zeus looked at the empty great hall, his face darkening with a cold snort.
He pondered for a long time, seeming to have made a certain decision, and once again raised the Divine Staff, striking the ground.
A whirlpool of thunder formed on the ground, as if stretching from the clouds straight into the depths of the ocean.
Afterward, a flow of red and black mud surged from the colossal whirlpool, converging within the great hall, forming a pool of red and black lake mixed with pure malice.
Buzz!
Amidst the heart-palpitating tremors, ripples appeared on the lake, and a pitch-black cube, ever-changing, slowly coalesced and rose, growing larger.@@novelbin@@
Suddenly, the cube, like a Magic Cube independently twisting, was covered with crimson and somber magical patterns crawling over the pitch-black container’s surface.
But the final darkness was illuminated, a pool of red and black liquid rose from within the pitch-black interior to the top, coalescing into a figure wrapped in a red and black mud cocoon.
The ghastly red and black patterns spread wildly from the abdomen around, and dense malice spread out, instantly dropping the temperature of the room by several degrees.
“Boom!”
The sky darkened with dense clouds, intermingled with wind and thunder, full of ominous signs.
Buzz!
At that moment, the pitch-black metallic cube buzzed sharply, the crimson magical patterns lighting up, pulsating from bright to dim, forming a humanoid shape made of red and black mud cocoon.
Crack!
Immediately afterward, a crisp cracking sound spread from inside out, a fair arm tore through the red and black encasement surrounding it, and a statuesque figure with jet-black hair flowing like a waterfall stepped out, her amber eyes possessed an innocent yet seductive quality, a blend of sanctity and profanity in her aura, contradictory yet unified.
“Giggle, have you finally decided to let me out?”
In the laughter resembling silver bells, the seductive girl stretched lazily, looking up at Zeus on the throne, her rolling pink tongue lightly licking her moist lips.
As their eyes met, those amber eyes immediately enlarged in Zeus’s vision, filling his entire heart.
His consciousness was pulled and sank, as if immersed in endless darkness.
Looking up, Zeus saw a devastated world, a series of black void-like celestial shapes swirled with red and black mud, endlessly pouring malice onto the ravaged earth; all light was devoured, while countless bones and debris were underfoot.
