Chapter 231: Meeting Wingspeed

Chapter 231: Meeting Wingspeed

-----

The battle between the Saurian God-possessed Galaxy Man and the Dark Storm Dragon intensified as they clashed within the skies above New York.

Great commotion shook the skies, and even the earth as the clash between villains intensified and became even more deadly, the two monsters putting their everything into the fight.

The people of New York glanced beneath the veil of protection from Bing Xue, their daily lives interrupted by a battle between monsters whose power levels surpassed them all combined.

Both the Dark Storm Dragon and Galaxy Man, possessed by the Saurian Primal God, were almost equally strong; however, Galaxy Man held the advantage in terms of mobility and durability, and abusing his durable body, he used himself as a bullet, piercing the Dark Storm Dragon’s ethereal body.

After his intense battle against Bing Xue and her family, the Dark Storm Dragon had been greatly weakened, losing his mechanical body and leaving behind his dark, ethereal soul, which simply rejected the idea of dying.

Bing Xue started to think that this monster and his nature were very unique; she was sure she had unleashed attacks and powers that would’ve killed even a Venerable.

And yet the Dark Storm Dragon remained, even as a ghostly figure; this thing wouldn’t die!

And then she realized this monster couldn’t be fought with the logic within her mind; it was something composed of the darkness and malice of the entire universe.

Therefore, the only way to defeat it wasn’t by killing it, as that wouldn’t work; destroying it to a subatomic level, decimating it, deleting it out of space…

Nothing would work, as the Dark Storm Dragon would simply reform and regenerate immediately after!

Although it was possible to weaken him severely through her attacks and leave him much weaker than before, he could still be a deadly threat after some time passed and he recovered his mechanical form again.

Perhaps the only form to defeat him would be to simply make his existence an impossibility by making every living being in the universe happy and without suffering.

But as someone who had attained enlightenment through the Heavenly Dao, Bing Xue was well aware that happiness for all was but impossible.

The other option would be to destroy the entire Universe, but she wasn’t sure she could do that with her current powers, as the scale of the Universe, even for her, was unknown.

That’s why Bing Xue decided to let these possessed superheroes fight him instead of her family or her, so they could save their energies while she sought the solution to this entire predicament down below.

“THIS IS MY ALL!”

By compressing all his Darkness into a single point, the Dark Storm Dragon managed to manifest himself physically and became even stronger as a result. He finally saw Galaxy Man as an actual threat, mostly because the Dark Storm Dragon himself was not completely aware of his indestructible existence.

“HAAAAHHHH!”

As he roared, he pointed his claws at Galaxy Man, his Darkness Aura overflowing with Cosmic Power, his body glowed, with several vein-like areas glowing bright purple, releasing electricity and powerful dark energy.

“{BLACK CALAMITY DRAGON: BURST MODE}”

TRUUUM!

By kicking the skies, he rushed towards Galaxy Man, swinging all six of his claws against him! Galaxy Man quickly placed his arms at the front of his head and chest, aiming to defend.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

And yet…

“Urgh! Aaaggh!”

Galaxy Man gasped in disbelief, screaming in agony as he saw his arms being torn to shreds; his muscles were easily sliced, revealing the white bone beneath, which gained several cracks. The powerful blow he thought he could take held much more power than he imagined.

“Oh? Did you suddenly become much weaker? Or maybe… I am stronger than a god?”

The Dark Storm Dragon smiled viciously as Galaxy Mana’s crimson eyes began to spiral around, the powers of the Saurian God overflowing through his body. His bones and flesh tissue began to regrow rapidly, as the powers of the God possessing him allowed his body to regenerate.

“You will regret those words.”

CRAAASH!

As Bing Xue saw them battling and devastating everything, she quickly descended with Athena, Orion, Merneith, and Hekita, whom she had chosen to accompany her to meet the one that had brought the Dark Storm Dragon to begin with.

Albeit unintentionally, the young hero had released this cosmic-level monster into the planet, which could not be killed no matter how much Bing Xue thought about it.

The only way was by putting it back where it came from, the Symbols.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

RUMBLE!

Above them, huge explosions of Darkness and Primal Power mixed with Cosmic Energy erupted, shattering space and making the entire world shake.

“Mom, it’s getting worse!” Little Athena panicked, looking at her mother with worried eyes.

“I know, let’s hurry!” Bing Xue nodded, expanding her Aura and grabbing Athena, Orion, Merneith, and Hekita, and then skipping through space to reach their destination.

There was a huge crater over the wastelands, resembling a giant hole where a massive, slightly damaged machine had crash-landed.

It resembled a huge black and red-colored spaceship, with strange shapes and forms; it was more as if it were some sort of humanoid machine that had turned into a spaceship.

She could sense some faint life signals inside of the spaceship and a power deeply connected to the Dark Storm Dragon.

From what she had seen with her eyes, this might be what could solve the current predicament.

“What is this thing?” Orion wondered. “Some kind of metallic animal?”

“No, it’s a spaceship of some sort…” Merneith said. “Bing Xue, you know where this came from?”

“Yeah, another world… Or well, a parallel timeline,” Bing Xue said, kicking the door open.

CRASH!

As she opened the way, her children followed them alongside Hekita and Merneith; the entrance was huge enough that even Ra and Anubis could enter.

Then again, Ra and Anubis were fairly small for mechs; the two didn’t surpass six meters in height, and the ceiling inside of this place went as high as thirty meters.

Merneith and Hekita started scanning their surroundings with Ra and Anubis, the interior looked completely made out of silver-colored steel, with wires everywhere.

The wires themselves resembled living beings, constantly glowing with red colors and even pulsating. Merneith gasped as she saw the results of the scan as they advanced forward.

“T-This entire mechanical construction is somehow alive!” She exclaimed. “The scanning results have detected a large quantity of lifeforce within the machine. Just what in the world is this? It’s not even the same as our Gods.”

“It’s a completely different technology,” Bing Xue looked around her surroundings and then noticed something, a presence moving farther away. “Looks like someone’s coming.”

She looked into the dark corridor with her rainbow eyes, her presence spreading light that illuminated the dark place.

And then a silhouette appeared, only to disappear instantly, moving at a speed that made it impossible to see at all.

“…”

The presence appeared from one spot to another, appearing and disappearing, barely glowing with a red-colored light until…

FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!

Whatever it was, it was a red blur constantly spinning around them, as if trying to either scare them or inspect them.

And yet…

“Hey.”

“Huh?!”

Amidst his perception of time, Bing Xue was able to quickly catch him, extending her hand, grabbing his head, and dragging him towards her.

“Aaagh!”

By lifting him off the ground, he was unable to run anymore.

“You… You sure move fast, huh?”

“Y-You caught up to my speed?!”

“More importantly, what were you exactly trying to do?”

“I was trying to… T-To inspect you, to see who you were…”

Bing Xue squinted her eyes, recalling this man from somewhere. Her children looked at him with curiosity, while Hekita and Merneith seemed mostly surprised.

“Well, did you get a good look then? We’re not here to harm you; if anything, we’ve come to save you. And perhaps to ask some questions…”

RUMBLE!

Bing Xue looked into the ceiling as the tremors from above made the entire spaceship tremble.

“But I’m afraid we don’t have much time; you’re one of those superheroes, right? What was your name?”

“I-I am Wingspeed… Who are you exactly, lady? Also, could you please let go of my head? It really hurts how you’re holding me like this…”

“Oh, my apologies.”

Bing Xue dropped the man onto the floor, as he gasped for air, both feeling relieved and also still slightly scared of what had happened just now.

Wingspeed seemed rather exhausted, however, the speed he had used to seem invisible was much slower than his top speed.

“There’s a huge monster outside, Wingspeed! Mama brought us here because she said there was someone here that could help us beat the annoying dragon. Can you help?” Athena asked, trying to act kinder to him.

“A child…” Wingspeed muttered, surprised. “What are you doing in such a dangerous place? Is this… your daughter? Why did you bring her here? It’s irresponsible for-”

“My daughter is strong; don’t worry,” Bing Xue sighed. “Let’s not waste more time; bring me where he is.”

“I-I still need to know what you are and why you are here!” Wingspeed said. “We just escaped my friends, who were all brainwashed by some kind of villain I don’t even know about! Galaxy Man tried to kill me for all things! And then Kenichi helped me with his friend Zenith to get the hell out of there, but we kind of barely made it! Wait, where’s Galaxy Man?! And Marvelous Woman? And Green Jade?!”

Wingspeed, as a speedster, talked incredibly quickly and had kind of a hysterical personality; the energy flowing through his body, even in his weakened state, was enough to make his brain think several times faster than most people. To his perception of his surroundings, the world was incredibly slow.

“They’re all fighting a giant dragon in the sky,” Bing Xue said. “The Dark Storm Dragon… Marvelous Woman and Jade Star have been knocked out, though. Galaxy Man is the only one fighting. There was another man, Nightman or whatever. He’s also incredibly weak.”

“S-So they’re fighting a monster?!” Wingspeed asked. “If they’re still possessed and the monster is strong enough, it would be better to leave them like that for now…”

“I agree to an extent, but they aren’t as big of a threat as that dragon,” Bing Xue said. “Now, I won’t ask again. Bring me to him. If he’s wounded I will heal him. I have the power, just like this.”

“I-I…” Wingspeed was still confused about various things, and he didn’t know if he could truly trust her either.

And then, Bing Xue touched his shoulders.

“Huh?”

“{Gift of Life}”

FLAAASH!

An infusion of pure stamina and lifeforce fueled his entire body. Wingspeed felt like he ate a whole stadium's worth of Snickers; his nutrients, sugar level, everything went to maximum.

“W-Wha…?! How… It felt like I ate. And rested?!”

This was one of Bing Xue’s many miraculous techniques, the power to transfer her own lifeforce, stamina, and even nutrients into someone else’s body.

“So?” Bing Xue asked.

“A-Ah…”

However, there weren’t any other options right now; although he only met him briefly, Wingspeed considered Kenichi a friend.

“Okay, please save Kenichi! He’s really bad right now, and his friends too…!” Wingspeed said. “Please follow me!”
