Chapter 824: After 411 action_3

Now, Guele Rinto was genuinely anxious.

The Rintos, having lost their casino license, would have to withdraw from the gambling industry, no longer retaining their dominant position.

Agave Rinto might have foreseen this, having expanded into numerous industries over the past two years, including shipping, trading, real estate, catering, entertainment, and so on. This could keep them going, but it was not what Guele desired.

All of these combined still couldn’t match up to a single casino license.

Desta Rinto, whether intentionally or unintentionally, remarked, “The current environment is not the same as it was fourteen years ago. If we re-bid now, the Rintos’ chances would greatly decrease. Remember, fourteen years ago, Marshella Yates made a significant contribution to our bid. Despite being a villain in the Rintos’ eyes, she is indeed a capable individual.”

No one noticed the fleeting glint that passed through the hooded, dreary and deep eyes, quickly disappearing into a mysterious abyss.

“Marshella Yates, Marshella Yates, where on earth could we find a second Marshella Yates…?”. Guele Rinto suddenly turned to the silent young man dressed in black, “Linden Sky, what are your thoughts on this matter?”

Silvia Hayes noticed the young man squinting his eyes. He must be smiling, with his eyes curving like those of a fox.

A lethargic, clever, beautiful, and dangerous fox.

“Within the contract period, if there are no violations, the authorities have no right to take back the casino license.”

Agave Rinto has been cautious over the years, effectively managing his subordinates, giving no room for loopholes. However, if someone intended to set them up, there was no way to avoid it. One could imagine Agave Rinto must have prepared countermeasures.

He was much more clever than Pindo Rinto of yesteryears.

Pindo Rinto was a ruthless butcher, swift and relentless in his actions. He was most notably ruthless – not just with others, but also with himself. This led to his reputation as a villain despite his vast fortune. Pindo didn’t care for reputation, having come from a humble background; he only cared for tangible benefits. As for the reputation, he’d let posterity decide, choosing to enjoy the present day to the fullest.

Agave Rinto, on the other hand, was different. Having grown up under Pindo Rinto’s watchful eyes, he observed his grandpa and father living in constant fear under Pindo’s pressure. This experience has made him prudent and cautious. Having studied abroad, Agave adopted a low-key approach to life and work- quietly amassing wealth.

He had a clear understanding of his own future and that of the Rintos. No doubt he had foreseen this day.

Despite receiving this response, Guele Rinto was still apprehensive, “No, I have to personally go to Starlyn Aria and see.”

The Rintos could lose anything, but they could not lose the casino license.

“Mom, there is no help you can provide by going there now. You should listen to Linden Sky.”

Silvia Hayes’s attempt to calm her down ended up adding fuel to the fire. Guele Rinto glared at her severely, “If we listen to him, the Rintos might as well await death. It seems he is here just to enjoy the spectacle. If he can’t help, at least he shouldn’t cause trouble.”

Guele Rinto didn’t bother about Linden Sky anymore and hurried away with Birch Cliff to Starlyn Aria.

Silvia Hayes glanced at Linden Sky, didn’t utter a word, and quietly stayed by his side.

Time quietly slipped away. The young man suddenly snapped his fingers. A nearly dozing off Gonzales Rinto was startled and jerkeshly woke up.

“Ten minutes. It’s about time,” Linden Sky said, devoid of any emotion.

Silvia Hayes understood then that he was referring to her mother’s arrival at Starlyn Aria.

The drive from the Rintos to Starlyn Aria only took ten minutes.

Gonzales Rinto was curious about what the mysterious young man was planning.

Another ten minutes passed, and Linden Sky handed Butler Rinto a note.

“Butler Rinto, please dial this number and tell the person on the other end that someone is coveting the Rintos’ casino license. If the license is revoked during the contract period, the agreed percentage for the Rintos will vanish. They should weigh their options carefully.”

Butler Rinto’s gaze sharpened as he took a good look at the young man. However, clad in a mysterious black attire, the young man was inscrutable, revealing only his delicate silhouette.

Respectfully, he took the note, moved over to the landline, and solemnly dialed the number.

The young man walked to the tea room and started to meticulously prepare tea. Silvia Hayes followed him, watching his smooth and fluid tea preparing movements, her heart pounding.

“Who was the call made to?” Silvia Hayes asked.

The young man, seeming in good spirits, patiently answered Silvia Hayes’s question.

“Imagine a cake. Initially, it was for the two of you to share. Suddenly, someone else comes along, desiring to snatch it away. It would make anyone upset.” @@novelbin@@

“But what if the two couldn’t overpower the person wanting to snatch the cake?”

Amidst the hazy tea steam, dew clung onto the young man’s eyelashes. It beautifully mirrored the rain on plantain, conveying an indescribable, poetic sense of beauty.

Silvia Hayes was awestruck as she stared on.
