Chapter 74 - 74 74 Little Fatty
Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Little Fatty?! Chapter 74: Chapter 74 Little Fatty?! A scream was suddenly muffled by Lin Caisang’s own hand. She looked awkwardly at the men and women turning to look at her, giving them an apologetic smile.
Noticing just a chubby young lady, the villagers didn’t say anything and continued staring at the bounty notice.
“Exactly what kind of illness has the Grand Old Master Zhong of the Zhong Family contracted? So many physicians have attended to him yet none have been able to cure him. Could he have been cursed or something?”
“Who knows? Even though Grand Old Master Zhong is a great philanthropist and has done a lot of good deeds, I heard that Little Master Zhong has done quite a few nefarious deeds. Maybe he really has cursed the family.”
“Nonsense. Doesn’t the curse have eyes, wouldn’t it see that the wrongdoings of Little Overlord Zhong have nothing to do with the old man?”
The villagers bustled with comments, while Lin Caisang, standing behind, was left speechless.
“Brother Jade Mirror, could you tell me a little about where you are taking me before actually getting me there?” She genuinely didn’t know where she was or what the place was even called. How was she supposed to treat anyone?
She lowered her head, sighing.
She had already arrived; she couldn’t very well reenter her golden pearl space in front of all these people just to scold Jade Mirror, could she?
“Excuse me, excuse me, can you all make some room?”
She pushed through the crowd with her chubby hands, reaching the bounty notice hanging at the front. Regardless of what it said, she directly tore it off the wall.
“Hey, girl, do you even understand what this is? This is the Zhong family’s bounty announcement to treat their old master’s illness. What are you messing around for? Hurry and put it back.”
The villagers hurried to remind her after seeing that she’d taken down the notice.
“People aren’t allowed to take that down.”
“Why can’t it be taken down? They’re looking for someone to treat him, right? If I cure him, won’t everything be solved?” replied Lin Caisang blinking her eyes innocently, asking the person addressing her.
“Oh dear, little girl, you don’t understand.” The man wore a distressed expression, shaking his head regretfully.
“Even though Master Zhong is a great man, his Little Overlord is not. There have been many physicians who’ve responded to the notice, but when they failed to cure the old master, they were violently beaten by the Little Overlord and thrown out.”
“Little girl, you wouldn’t be able to withstand that.”
“No problem. I’m thick-skinned and tough, what’s a beating to me?” Lin Caisang laughed, not taking the man’s words seriously.
Whatever bully had the misfortune to confront her, they’d end up obediently minding their manners. She had cured so many patients, couldn’t she handle a little bully?
“You, little girl. How can you be so stubborn, you really don’t…”
“Make way, everybody, get the hell out of my way!”
Even though the man tried to keep talking, he was interrupted by a brash voice not far behind them. On hearing it, he quickly scuttled aside. The other villagers also scattered at once.
“Did you tear down a notice my dad just posted?” The newcomer, with his neck thrust forward and his mouth twisted to one side, cast a skewed look at Lin Caisang and asked.
Looking up, Lin Caisang saw a young lad who was not much older than she was. With a perfectly good face, he had twisted it into a clownish grimace, which made her want to laugh.
“Yes, I did. I’m the one who took down the notice.”
“You’ve got guts, little tubby. Do you know how many people have been beaten to tears by me?” Little Overlord Zhong indicated himself with a thumbs-up as he asked Lin Caisang.
“Little Tubby?!”
Upon hearing these three words, Lin Caisang’s eyes sparkled lightly, and the corner of her mouth curled up slightly.
What do you think?
