The Hidden Dragon In-Law

Chapter 15 – For the rest of your life, forget about it!

After leaving the Emerald Pavilion, James Ye didn't go home immediately.

He wanted to give his wife a complete surprise on their wedding anniversary.

This surprise wasn't just a jade necklace; he also wanted to make up for the romantic wedding they never had.

Back then, James and Mary Xiao got married hastily under Old Master Xiao's request, and there was no time for a proper wedding.

The old master had originally planned to choose an auspicious date for a grand wedding.

But unexpectedly, shortly after they got their marriage certificate, he fell seriously ill and was hospitalized, so the wedding plans were postponed.

Later, when the old master passed away, no one in the Xiao Family looked up to James, so the wedding never had a chance to be held.

However, James felt that now that he had money, he must give his wife the grandest and most dignified wedding!

When he thought about the wedding, the first place that came to his mind was the Hanging Gardens at the Buckingham Palace Hotel!

The Buckingham Palace Hotel is currently the best hotel in Jinling, bar none!

The hotel covers a large area, is luxuriously decorated, and even has a large, high-end shopping mall inside.

The Hanging Gardens are located on the top floor of this shopping mall.

It's called the Hanging Gardens because it's entirely made of crystal glass, designed by a top Italian designer, and decorated with a large number of high-end fresh flowers flown in from abroad. From a distance, it looks like a grand garden floating in the air.

This is also the most grand and luxurious banquet hall in all of Jinling. Hosting a wedding here would cost at least several million, if not tens of millions.

Now that James has money, a few million is nothing to him. As long as he can make his wife happy, that's all that matters.

So he went to the Buckingham Palace Hotel, intending to book the Hanging Gardens for their wedding anniversary.

However, James didn't know that the Buckingham Palace Hotel operates on a membership system.

Whether dining, staying, or hosting a banquet here, you must have a hotel membership.

Moreover, different membership levels offer different services.

Ordinary members can only dine in the main hall and stay in standard rooms;

Silver members can dine in private rooms and stay in high-end luxury rooms;

Gold members can dine in luxury private rooms and stay in luxury suites;

Platinum members can dine in the Hanging Gardens and stay in top luxury suites.

The highest level is Diamond membership.

Only Diamond members are eligible to stay in the presidential suite, and only Diamond members can book the entire Hanging Gardens for an event.

Furthermore, memberships above the Gold level can't be obtained just by having money; you need sufficient social status.

When James arrived at the Buckingham Palace Hotel, he was stopped by several black-clothed security guards before he even entered.

"Sorry, sir, please show your membership card."

James's clothes, worth less than two hundred yuan in total, made him stand out starkly compared to the well-dressed, affluent guests.

James hurriedly said, "Gentlemen, I want to speak with your client manager about booking the venue."

One of them replied coldly, "Sorry, you can't enter without a membership card!"

James said, "Can I apply for a membership card now?"

The guard shook his head, "Sorry, you need a qualified introducer to apply for a membership card."

James frowned, thinking this Buckingham Palace Hotel was too troublesome.

Just as he was at a loss, he suddenly remembered that when Old Master Xiao arranged for him to attend Jinling University with his wife during their senior year, he had a college classmate named Lisa Bi who seemed to work here!

So, he quickly took out his phone and called Lisa Bi.

After explaining his situation, Lisa immediately said, "Class Monitor Ye, leave this to me. I'll be right there!"

James quickly thanked her.

It seemed that even though they were only college classmates for a year, there was still some camaraderie between them. He must repay this favor to Lisa in the future.

"Oh my, Class Monitor Ye!"

A few minutes later, a woman's exclamation came from inside the hotel.

Looking up, James saw a heavily made-up, flamboyantly dressed woman walking out of the hotel.

Lisa Bi? She had changed so much! He almost didn't recognize her!

Seeing the flamboyant woman, the two black-clothed security guards at the door hurriedly bowed and respectfully called out, "Group Leader Bi."

James said in surprise, "Lisa, it's been years, and you're already a group leader at the Buckingham Palace Hotel. That's impressive!"

Lisa smiled, "Class Monitor, you're too kind. I'm just a small group leader in the HR department, only a mid-to-low level leader at the Buckingham Palace Hotel."

James sincerely praised, "That's still impressive. I've heard the management standards at the Buckingham Palace Hotel are very high. You're truly remarkable!"

Lisa smiled proudly, then looked at the two black-clothed security guards beside her and coldly questioned, "Are you the ones who stopped my college class monitor at the door and didn't let him in?"

The two guards exchanged a glance, and one of them quickly said, "Sorry, Group Leader Bi, I didn't know he was your college classmate, and he didn't have a membership card. I was just following hotel rules..."

Lisa snorted, "Rules are dead, but people are alive. Don't you understand that?"

James thought Lisa was going to punish them for this and quickly said, "Lisa, don't make it hard for them. They're just following the rules."

Lisa looked at James and suddenly laughed, her expression changing to one of mockery, "Class Monitor Ye, you think too highly of yourself. Did you really think I would trouble my subordinates for you?"

James frowned, "Lisa, what do you mean by this?"

"What do I mean?" Lisa sneered, "Isn't it obvious? A loser like you wants to enter the Buckingham Palace Hotel? Let me tell you, you can forget about it for the rest of your life!"

James clenched his fists and questioned her, "What do you mean?"

"I'm just messing with you!" Lisa laughed hysterically, "Back in college, I couldn't stand you. A loser who only knew how to study, couldn't even afford a meat dish in the cafeteria, and you were the class monitor? Criticizing my grades? Pfft! Look at yourself!"@@novelbin@@

James's expression turned cold as he questioned, "Lisa! I've never wronged you. Why do you keep mocking me?"
