The Hidden Dragon In-Law

Early the next morning.

After cooking breakfast, James Ye hopped on his electromobile and headed to the Dihao Group headquarters.

He parked his electromobile at the edge of Dihao Group's parking lot and had just locked it up when a black Bentley sedan slowly pulled into a spot across from him.

James glanced up unintentionally and saw a young man and woman stepping out of the car.

The man was dressed in a high-end suit, exuding an air of sophistication, while the woman, though garishly dressed, was a rare beauty.

It was Mary Xiao's cousin, Barbara Xiao, and her fiancé-to-be, Young Master Wang of the Wang Family, Daniel Wang.

James didn't know what Barbara and Daniel were doing at Dihao Group, but to avoid trouble, he decided to keep his distance.

However, the more he tried to avoid them, the more inevitable the encounter seemed.

Sharp-eyed Barbara immediately spotted him and called out loudly, "Hey, brother-in-law!"

Barbara's call of 'brother-in-law' was extremely affectionate, but it gave James a headache.

Out of courtesy, he stopped and waited for them to approach before smiling and asking, "Barbara, what brings you here?"

Barbara giggled, "I'm here with Daniel to meet with the Vice Chairman of Dihao Group, Margaret Wang!"

She then looked at Daniel adoringly and said, "Daniel's family has a lot of collaborations with Dihao Group. In the future, it will not only benefit the Wang Family but also help our Xiao Family."

James was unaware of any cooperation between the Wang Family and Dihao Group, as he had only recently acquired the company and hadn't had the chance to learn about it.

But he didn't show it and simply smiled, "Young Master Wang has an extraordinary presence and remarkable abilities. You two really are a match made in heaven!"

Daniel looked at James with contempt, feeling a sense of injustice.

This loser was scolded like a dog by Old Madame Xiao yesterday, and yet today he's grinning like nothing happened.

Why would a stunning beauty like Mary marry such a spineless wimp?

If it weren't for this loser, he would have pursued Mary with all his might, instead of getting engaged to Barbara, who was inferior in every aspect.

Thinking this, Daniel felt annoyed and deliberately asked, "Brother-in-law, what are you doing at Dihao Group?"

James casually replied, "I'm here looking for a job."

"Looking for a job?" Daniel sneered, "What kind of job could a good-for-nothing like you possibly do at Dihao Group?"

James frowned, "What does my job search have to do with you?"

Barbara stopped James, intending to mock him thoroughly. Seeing that Daniel had already started, she joined in with sarcasm, "What, did Daniel say something wrong?"

Do you have the qualifications, you good-for-nothing? Do you have any achievements, you good-for-nothing?

A loser like you wouldn't even get hired as a security guard at Dihao Group. If you had any self-awareness, you'd be better off picking up trash on the streets – at least you could earn a couple thousand a month!"

After speaking, she tossed her empty drink bottle at James's feet and huffed, "There, I'm looking after you. Pick up that bottle and sell it for some money!"

Daniel laughed, "Although you're trash, since we're relatives, I should look out for you. It just so happens I have some connections with the Vice Chairman of Dihao Group. How about I put in a good word for you and get you a job cleaning toilets?"

James gave a cold smile and said, "I don't need you to worry about what kind of job I find. You should worry more about yourself. Dihao Group is a major corporation; I doubt they'd want to collaborate with low-quality trash like you."

Daniel exploded with rage, "Fuck you, who are you calling trash?"

James replied disdainfully, "You are the trash!"

With that, he walked away, heading into the Dihao Group building without giving Daniel another glance.

"Fuck you, stop right there!" Daniel quickly followed, catching up with James at the elevator.

He had intended to teach James a lesson, at the very least slap him twice to show him the consequences of offending him.

But seeing that they were now inside the Dihao Group building, he worried that starting a fight might upset their business partners, so he reluctantly abandoned the idea of teaching James a lesson for now.

Grinding his teeth, he spat out, "You stupid asshole, I'll let you off this time, but you won't be so lucky next time!"

James snorted and stepped into the elevator, saying, "Daniel Wang, do you think you're all that? Trust me, soon you'll learn the price of arrogance."

"Fuck you..." Daniel stepped forward, intending to rush into the elevator.

Barbara pulled him back, speaking with disdain, "Daniel, don't share an elevator with this kind of trash. You don't want his stench to rub off on you."

Daniel nodded, knowing he couldn't start a fight here, and said coldly, "I'll let you off this time, but you'll regret it next time!"

James took the elevator straight to the top floor, where the Chairman's office was located.

At Dihao Group, Anthony Tang had already made arrangements for him, and he was to be met by a woman named Margaret Wang.

Margaret had a big reputation in Jinling, known as one of the most formidable women in the business world. Not only was she beautiful, but she was also extremely capable. At a young age, she had already been promoted to Vice Chairman of Dihao Group, and she had played a significant role in the company's success.

Now that the Ye Family had acquired Dihao Group and the former Chairman had stepped down, Margaret had stayed on, ready to assist the new Chairman.
