Chapter 72: Chapter 72: Snort with derision

“Third Aunt, stop, stop, stop, let’s talk this out, we’re all family, why do you have the stick?

Gu Changshun was a coward through and through, and the moment he saw Su Yunjin pick up a stick and swing it wildly at him, any deviant thoughts vanished from his mind. While speaking, he retreated in fright, backing away incessantly!

Su Yunjin paid no mind to what Gu Changshun was saying, her hand wielding the stick as she relentlessly pursued and beat Gu Changshun until she chased him out of the yard. Only then did Su Yunjin stop, refraining from following him further.

Gu Changshun had run quite a distance before he noticed that Su Yunjin wasn’t pursuing him and he finally stopped to catch his breath, “Pah, what a piece of trash. Who does she think she is, Su Yunjin, putting on airs? Isn’t she just a shameless woman?”

Convinced that Su Yunjin had been eyeing him the night before as an act of seduction, Gu Changshun looked down on her with utter disdain. After sneering at her, Gu Changshun spat a thick wad of phlegm on the ground, expressing his contempt and disdain for Su Yunjin.

After driving off Gu Changshun, Su Yunjin tossed aside the stick in her hand and returned to the courtyard, feeling disgusted all over from just being embraced by Gu Changshun.

...

She looked down at her clothes and, after a moment’s thought, decided to go back to her room and change right away. She didn’t want to keep wearing these garments, as they made her feel nauseated.

Just as Su Yunjin reached the doorway of the room she shared with Gu Ya, she hadn’t even pushed the door open to enter when she found that Gu Changshun had actually come back. In his hand, he was holding the very stick she had just thrown away, using it to threaten her, “Third Aunt! The stick is in my hands now! You’d better just be obedient and listen to me, all right? Otherwise, don’t blame your eldest nephew for not understanding how to treat a lady with gentleness.”

Gu Changshun’s gaze on Su Yunjin was unspeakably lecherous. Although Su Yunjin had chased him far away, Gu Changshun wasn’t willing to let her go just like that. So, without walking far, he turned around and came back yet again.

A tightness gripped Su Yunjin’s heart!

Why had Gu Changshun come back?

Looking at the stick in Gu Changshun’s hand, Su Yunjin blamed herself for her carelessness. Now what was she to do? As she pondered how to deal with Gu Changshun, she saw him closing the distance between them.

Fearing another repulsive touch from Gu Changshun, Su Yunjin decided to run first and figure out how to avoid him later.

She bolted in a chosen direction out of the courtyard. Gu Changshun, seemingly unfazed by Su Yunjin’s flight, followed leisurely with the stick in hand and spoke nauseating words, “Third Aunt, think it over smartly! What’s so good about my lame uncle? You following him is not as good as following your eldest nephew here!”

Gu Changshun chased after Su Yunjin, resolve set in his heart that if he could persuade her to obediently follow him, that would be best. And if he couldn’t persuade her—if Su Yunjin didn’t see reason—he would use the stick in his hand to knock her out, then drag her back to the house.

If Su Yunjin were knocked out?

Then she’d be completely at his mercy, wouldn’t she?

The more Gu Changshun thought about it, the more excited he became, and his gaze on Su Yunjin grew even more obscene. Su Yunjin ran with all her might, and when she saw there was no path ahead, she suddenly realized she hadn’t run towards the main gate.

This is bad!

What to do now?

Just then, Gu Changshun had caught up to her and cornered her in a dead-end. Su Yunjin’s heart raced with panic, but when she looked up, she saw Gu Ya standing behind Gu Changshun, “Husband!”
