Chapter 45 47:Herald Of Apocalypse
TAP! TAP!TAP!TAP!
Drops of dew materialized from the thick misty landscape that started to sway making a widening pathway.
On this path, a demoness walked gracefully along an ancient pathway. Her presence striking and surreal as the mist moved away.
She wore a gothic white regal dress, saintly in appearance but contrasting with her aura. Her long, flowing hair shimmered like silver under the dim lamplight, and her eyes gleamed a piercing crimson, burning with an otherworldly intensity.
The passage was old, its walls etched with time, yet it held a majestic, almost holy air. At the end stood an ancient doorway. She opened it, revealing a swirling portal. Stepping into the dark passage beyond, she snapped her fingers. A flicker of flame danced to life, igniting a torch and casting shadows across the walls as she continued onward.
Stopping in the pitch darkness, she threw the flames burning atop her finger.
The flame drew a small arc landing on a raised platform.
SWOOSH!
An outbreak of sparks exploded illuminating the space. The gears turned around lifting up the entire gallery and exposing a huge hallway.
The flames coursed through the dark, ancient hallway, igniting torches one by one along the towering walls. Shadows leaped and danced as the light illuminated the space, revealing carved figures etched into the stone.
Two prominent sculptures caught the demoness's attention. One was of a regal noblewoman seated on a majestic throne, her poise exuding authority and power. This was Lilith, the Mother of Demoness, the matron of their lineage, revered for her unmatched strength and cunning.
Beside her was another figure, a woman in a graceful sitting position, draped in a flowing veil that concealed her face. Her hands, delicate yet commanding, rested on her lap as if guarding the secrets of the night. This was Nyx, the Goddess of Night, the eternal keeper of shadows and the mysteries they held.
The hallway, now bathed in a fiery glow, seemed alive with reverence. These two goddesses stood at the pinnacle of demon worshiper, their influence shaping the very essence of demonkind.
While other deities, like the God of War, held a say over battle and conquest, none matched the profound legacy left by Lilith and Nyx. Together, they were the architects of the demons' heritage, weaving power and darkness into an enduring legend.
Walking forward, she glanced at the various relics collected by the Church. Her eyes darted around and fell on a dark cover book emitting an ominous aura.
Opening it, she saw white blank pages fluttering.
She extended her right hand and using the left, scratched her palm letting blood squeak out that fell on the blood.
Then she placed the book, and taking a few steps she bent down kneeling on the floor that despite not being taken care of had remained clean ever since its origin.
Joining her hand, she prayed looking at the picture of Lilith.
"This daughter of yours is just an empty shell without the benevolence of Mother."
"Mother of strength, eternal matron of our kind, grant me the wisdom to weave shadows into power. Let your cunning guide my steps and your fire burn within my soul. May your lineage live on through my deeds, glorious and unyielding."
Finishing it, she aimed at Goddess Nyx.
"Goddess of the eternal night, keeper of secrets unseen, shroud me in your veil of mystery. Let your shadows be my shield, your whispers my guide. May the endless dark grant me the clarity to walk unseen, unbroken."
HUMM!
A faint hum, a sense of spirituality permeated the room making her skin crawl in deja vu. Instead of fearing she opened her lips to smile cause she knew that they had heard her words.
The blood on the dark book sizzled, emitting a low, gurgling sound that reverberated through the silent hall. An eerie scream tore through the air, unearthly and bone-chilling. Despite this demoness remained kneeling, her head bowed, unwavering in her faith.
Slowly, the blood trailed down the pages, winding and curling as if guided by an invisible hand. The crimson liquid moved deliberately, forming words that glowed with an ominous hue. A sentence emerged, etched in blood.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑬𝒓𝒂 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆, 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒑𝒔𝒆.𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒅, 𝒔𝒐 𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝒚𝒆𝒕 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓.

The air grew thick with an unsettling energy, pressing down on her like a palpable force. She stared at the words, her crimson eyes reflecting their eerie glow.
She abruptly stood up wondering the meaning.
"The God would soon choose their blessed ones in apocalypse or they might have already chosen and out of them a God who had been missing had found its heir.."
She paused a bit trying to remember from her memory about such a God when her iris widened with shock.
"The God that had been missing...There is only one God who had been missing...The God Of Death.."
"Wait a minute...Didn't Morgana find someone who was able to absorb the aura of abyss that was just another form of Death mana?"
Her expression grew tense and distorted. If not for being present in the sacred temple, she might have cursed.
'Damn! I told her to kill him. Having such an anomaly might very well destroy the balance.'
People of such type always strike wonder but the problem was either they were inherently good or extremely bad. Of which side this boy would choose, no one can say. Instead of letting him run wild and become a troublemaker in the future, he should be killed.
Coming up with a countermeasure she frowned because she knew that since that girl had taken an interest, it would be difficult.
"Ha! Why do all these people keep troubling me."
"But there is also a possibility that he might not be the one."
