Xi Yue swallowed hard, lifting her gaze to meet the face before her—a face that was both familiar and unfamiliar, one that stirred both longing and frustration, drawing her in while filling her with unease and fear.

In the past, when Ji Mingyu wore a mask, Xi Yue could easily turn away from him, coldly dismissing him without hesitation and pushing him aside.

However, facing a face that looked exactly like Nangong Yu’s, her body and mind seemed not to belong to her, and she could not control them rationally.

But Ji Mingyu moved even faster. With one hand, he seized her slender wrists, lifting them high above her head and pinning them against the door. His other hand gripped her tightly, holding her firmly in his embrace, making the kiss and the overwhelming passion that followed even more intense.

His tongue forcefully parted her lips, taking control with an unrelenting intensity.

Xi Yue bit down. In an instant, the sharp taste of blood spread between their lips.

However, Ji Mingyu seemed oblivious to it, allowing the bitter-sweet scent to mix with their passionate kiss. Taking advantage of the moment, he deepened the kiss, kissing her harder, as if trying to consume her completely, determined never to let her escape from his life again.

Xi Yue gradually became unable to breathe, as if all her consciousness was taken away by the familiar and unfamiliar breath.

Ji Mingyu let go of her and said in a low voice filled with deep desire, “Close your eyes.”

Xi Yue had just taken a breath when her mind went blank, a haze settling over her thoughts. In a daze, she heard a familiar voice and instinctively closed her eyes.

Soon, her breath was stolen once again.

But this time, his kiss softened, as if he were cherishing the most precious treasure, or perhaps conveying the deepest, most tender, and burning affection from the core of his heart.

Xi Yue seemed to have melted, weakly draping over the man as soft moans escaped her lips, mingling with his heavy breaths that filled the room.
