Chapter 655: Klaus is Happy
The awakening of a world is simply the world facing a great catastrophe that cannot be easily overcome. This was like a trial of passage where, if you survive, your world will be added to the universe.
The current earth has yet to become part of the universe. So, for now, if it were to be discovered by an alien race, they would call it an Outer world.
But the moment it awakens, it will be known as a True World.
Old Lu had read about this awakening and even heard of it many times in the past, so when he received his memories, the first thing that came to mind was the awakening.
It usually happens within the first 100 years of the apocalypse. Earth is still young in this regard, but he knew deep within that the rules wouldn't apply much this time.
But instead of panicking, he instead started placing all his dreams and aspirations on the one person the Ancient Monks back in the day spoke highly of.
The one they called the Paragon.
He trusted him the most simply because, back when he was taking care of him inside the monastery, he saw something in him that Klaus didn't even know just yet back then.
He saw alt of qualities outside this forbidden title he was meant to hold one day. He knew Klaus very well simply because he practically raised him.
Though back then Klaus was mischievous and didn't like doing hard work, he saw something different when his life came crashing down.
He saw how he went from someone merely wanting to see the Ice Princess to someone who rose through the ranks and became a Sage within two years.
He saw how he went from a mischievous, lazy brat to a hardworking monk in just two years.
The determination, the focus—he saw it all.
And so, when he found out the brat he had always cared for was still alive and in the same world as him, despite knowing the Earth could come to an end any day, he knew Klaus wouldn't sit idle and watch.
Even after millions of years, he still trusted him, just like how he trusted him back then.
People like Klaus value their lives more than anything.
They value the lives of the people in their lives, so under no circumstances would Klaus choose to become a weakling while the Earth starts to crumble.
"I found the two skills in an underground chamber when I returned to Valeria. It seems the ancient monks sealed them away simply because of their forbidden nature.
But you always wanted them, and I knew one day I would see you again, so I learned them." Klaus pressed his thumb against Old Lu's forehead and transferred the two techniques to him.
"I don't know how long it will take you to master them, but I will help awaken your bloodline, which will help you grow much faster this time around.
Just keep practicing this for now," Klaus said, making Old Lu smile and nod.
"By the way, were you able to meet your idol again?" Old Lu asked in a teasing tone. Klaus could tell he wanted to tease him.
Fruity had always wanted to meet the ice princess and he did, but it ended rather sadly when it was found out he had a forbidden ice element.
But since he died before their second meeting, he wanted to tease him based on what he knew.
"Jokes on you, old man. I not only met her again, I even married her and spent thousands of years together," Klaus said with a smile.
This caused Old Lu to smirk and ask a question that was on his mind. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire
"Though the Ice Princess we met back then was older and more beautiful, I can't help but wonder—is the lady named Anna Ross her reincarnation?"
"Yes. Just like you, she has also reincarnated, but she doesn't have her memories yet. Though I planned on helping her recover those memories, forcing it would be dangerous, so I can only let this flow naturally."
"I see. Then I can assume she isn't the only one, right?" Old Lu asked. He is very smart, which is one of the things Klaus likes about him.
Klaus learned many things from him, and one of those things was how to reason.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say Klaus grew into becoming a renegade monk simply because of how he was taught to reason by his uncle monk.
So he knew his uncle would connect the dots from just a single reveal.
But while that could be a secret he shouldn't reveal, Klaus trusted his uncle Monk completely.
Just as he doesn't take someone like his mom, Hanna, his women, and his friends for granted, he wouldn't take him for granted either.
The man gave his life away to protect him. There is nothing like seeing someone who sacrificed himself for you again. Klaus is happy, so he wants to keep that happiness.
"As far as I know, some have reincarnated in this world. But if you are wondering, then know that I will look for them—the other uncle monks who died back then.
I know deep in my bones that there are still others out there somewhere, and I will look for them."
"Don't worry too much about that. If they are out there, then we will one day reunite with them. For now, focus on what you want.
I don't know what you have planned, but I trust you, so whatever you want to do, the academy will back you up.
In fact, you can make any decision, and the academy wouldn't object. Just do what you do best and make sure you remain happy in the process."
Klaus smiles, "Are you perhaps stepping down and making me the Dean? Not that I will reject that position."
"Don't cut your coat too large, brat. I am merely giving you the authority to do as you please. Don't abuse it," Old Lu just smirks.
"I will do well to remember that. But before anything, I would like my butler and two other ladies to be brought to the academy after the Moonborn arrive."
"Like I said, do what you want. The awakening will, without a doubt, be more of a burden on your shoulders. Some of us can just be the supporting characters."
"Then I won't abuse my power," Klaus said.
"By the way, when did the Leader of the Overlords become your woman?" Old Lu asked, causing Klaus to nearly choke on his tea.
"Who said she is my woman?" Klaus feigned innocence.
"Don't play with me, brat. I am a monk who holds great control over nature. This means I can sense more about people than they can about themselves.
Though the other Overlords didn't notice it, I saw it when I came to Ross City. In fact, now that I think about it, are all the ladies back there your women?"
"I will not answer that, but yes, most of them are my women," Klaus smiled, causing Old Lu to shake his head and sip his tea.
"The Moonborn will be arriving in two days. After they settle in, I will hand you the mission I have for your inner disciple trial."
Klaus spent close to five hours with his uncle, the monk, before leaving and returning to the inner area.
What do you think?
