The Male Leads Are Trapped in My House

Chapter 208

"Leaving Kellyan behind? What are you talking about? What kind of solution is that?"

It was clear that if Kellyan stayed behind to divert the Duke of Lancaster's attention, it would make it easier for Ezra to evade pursuit.

Given the world was now overrun with virus monsters, tracking a missing person wasn't exactly an easy task.

But was that really the only way?

Kellyan, with a complex expression, came into view. A myriad of emotions flitted across his face.

"The Duke of Lancaster still thinks I'm his pawn. Consider it as if I've planted an informant ahead of time. Weren't you going to use me as a double agent anyway?"@@novelbin@@

"That was the plan, but..."

Caught off guard by the sudden development, I hesitated to respond. Kellyan shrugged nonchalantly.

"I believe you'll come to help once your business in the capital is done. Or are you worried I might betray you?"

"I can't say that's completely unfounded."

Ethan, inherently distrustful due to his line of work, answered firmly.

His piercing gaze scrutinized Kellyan's face, as if trying to read his innermost thoughts.

Rather than appearing offended, Kellyan nodded understandingly.

"As you all know, my sister, who is terminally ill, is in Westmore. Even though the Duke's people are looking after her, she's dying. They have no intention of curing her disease. They're just using her as a hostage to manipulate me."

Kellyan's face darkened.

I thought he was always too laid-back to worry about anything, but it turned out he had a lot of pent-up frustration.
