Chapter 228
Benton Capital, 213 Roborough Road, Wellington Ford School
Through the basement of Wellington High School, a school funded by the Sinclair Foundation, Jose and Amy infiltrated the capital.
The problem was that Wellington High School wasn’t just one of the largest survivor camps in the capital—it was also the most closed-off.
Before long, the two were discovered by the camp’s inhabitants and tied up on the rooftop.
To anyone, they looked like suspicious intruders.
The leader of this camp, who was also the student council president of Wellington High School, stood before Jose and Amy, issuing a quiet but firm warning.
"You better start talking today. Because starting tomorrow, we’ve decided to torture you."
Torture?
Jose stared calmly at the student council president.
The young man, who appeared to be around Jose’s age, had a cold, bloodless expression—as if not even a single drop of warmth flowed through him.
Adjusting his glasses, the president asked,
"So, tell me. How did you get in here? How did you break through Wellington’s defense wall?"
Wellington’s defense wall.
Jose glanced past the rooftop at the massive stone wall encircling Wellington Ford School.
The school had always had tall fences, but now, both the front and back entrances were completely sealed off with stone walls.
The front gate’s barricade was identical to the one Jose had seen at Sinclair Hotel in Kintane.
Only then did Jose remember—this was a high school run by the Sinclair Foundation.
That explained why it was connected to the underground passageways.
At that moment, Amy, who had been calmly observing the students, let out a small laugh.
She showed no sign of intimidation.
"Hey."
Tilting her head at an angle, she smirked at the president.@@novelbin@@
"You guys don’t have a single gun, do you?"
Her mocking tone was bold, full of undisguised contempt.
What do you think?
