The Male Leads Are Trapped in My House

Chapter 239

“Rudbelt! You alright?”

Ethan, still carrying Cherry on his back, returned to help prop Ezra up. Ezra, pale-faced, merely nodded in silence.

“Where the hell did those bullets come from?”

Ethan muttered, scanning the area.@@novelbin@@

“The rooftop of the opposite building,” Nikolai answered.

They all turned their heads toward the rooftop, but the shooter was nowhere to be seen.

Dududududu—

Before they could process it further, another crisis emerged.

While they had been delayed dealing with the Devonshire survivors in the Reed River, a new wave of monsters was now surging southward from the capital’s northern district.

“Shit. We don’t have time for this!”

“Over here! This way!”

Nikolai had found a gate in the palace wall and called out to the group.

Ethan, supporting both Cherry and Ezra, hesitated for a moment.

Once again, he glanced at the rooftop across the street.

He had no idea who the sniper was—but something in his gut kept telling him it was Jose Cambren.

‘No, that’s impossible. Jose should be in Brunel right now.’

Shaking his head, he pushed the thought aside and followed Nikolai through the gate.

‘We finally made it.’

Ethan let out a breath of relief.

At last, they had set foot inside Graydon Palace—one of their key destinations.

The moment they disappeared behind the walls, the monstrous tide crashed through the streets.

The sound of the machine gun covering them had vanished.

Ethan lingered for a moment, uneasy, standing before the closed gate.

“Sir Ethan! Move, now!”

Nikolai’s urgent voice snapped him out of it.

Reluctantly, Ethan stepped forward.
