Qu Tong lowered her hand without scaring him any further and looked around the room, “Does your little aunt treat you well?”

“Good…” The little boy nodded subconsciously, then after a moment shook his head, speaking in a slightly louder voice, “Not good.”

When he said it wasn’t good, he dared to look at Qu Tong, but only for a brief one or two seconds before looking down again.

Qu Tong raised an eyebrow; though a bit slow to react, he wasn’t too dumb.

Qu Tong noticed that when the boy said things weren’t good, he subconsciously grabbed his arm, so she directly pulled his hand over.

The small boy, being nearly one, should have soft and fair skin, but it was marred with red and purple marks, unmistakably pronounced, showing signs of pinching, and possibly hitting.
