Chapter 2943 Ensuing Battle
Chapter 2943 Ensuing Battle
The esoterification of the continent had a more pronounced effect on the war than even the Ecologer had extrapolated. The beasts and monsters had gained such a tremendous advantage from having their native environments take over the Human Domain that it exceeded even their wildest expectations.
The war became an avenue for Darwinian Evolution by serving as a filter of natural selection. Species that were able to adaptively evolve by utilizing the esoterified parts of the continent to recuperate, heal, and even grow stronger were likelier to survive and reproduce. Because the state of frenzy they were in pushed them to reproduce aggressively, in the span of ten years, they had grown into a majority among the beasts and monsters that attacked the borders of human territories.
The Human Domain had been slowly eroded bit by bit over the past ten years as humanity failed to adaptively evolve fast enough. Although breakthrough rates had risen to historic highs due to the sheer drive for survival that has firmly rooted itself in the minds of all people, it still didn't happen fast enough.
This was the one constraint and flaw of Martial Art.
While Martial Artists were the strongest and were very light on the needed resources relative to siege weapons or to beasts and monsters, they needed a long, long time to grow. Each investment would need decades, if not centuries, before it finally achieved its potential.
Only the Kandrian Empire, with its manifold, was able to protect its territories firmly.
RUMBLE!!!
In an enormous battleground some ways away from the Kandrian Empire, a war between the Human Domain and the beasts and monsters ensued.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
The enormous precision targeting of the massive siege weapons ravaged the incoming wave of Sage-level beasts and monsters as they approached the Martial Master defensive line. The extraordinarily powerful blast burrowed deep into the bodies of the Sage-level beasts and monsters, weakening them even as they drew closer to the Martial Masters.
"ROOOAAARRRR!!!"
"KRRRIIIEEEKKK!!!"
"RAAAWWWRRR!!!"
The monsters roared in frenzy and in agony as they emerged from the hail of sieges before rushing into the cohort of Martial Masters.
"ATTACK!"
BADUMP!
The Martial Masters of the Kandrian Empire activated their Martial Hearts and Minds, unleashing their full power, before charging into the incoming hordes of beasts and monsters.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
RUMBLE!!!
An enormous onslaught of attacks was unleashed across the entire battlefield, dousing all heaven and earth around them in a great flux of power.
Martial Masters surged, avoiding the devastatingly enormous power from the Sage-level beasts and monsters as they systematically targeted their wounds and weaknesses. They activated the Hellbringer model that Rui had imparted to them many years ago, using it to identify what kind of environment was most antithetical to those creatures.
Of course, that didn't entirely mean they were able to perfectly recreate the environment, they didn't have Rui's Forge of Creation or the Yggdrasil System to do so, but they were able to deploy some of the principles of the antithetical environment that they saw, even if it wasn't very precise due them not possessing the full Tree of Life model.
Except for Ieyasu.
He unleashed nothing short of a hive of domains across the entire battlefield as he perfectly reconstructed all the environments antithetical to each monster, vanquishing many of them in a rapid timeframe.
In the past ten years, he had worked himself to the very bone, accruing a truly astronomical amount of power within the Master Realm. He had assimilated everything that the Kandrian Empire had to offer and had ground himself to the very limit of what one could achieve.
The Kandrian Empire had almost nothing left to offer him.
Almost.
His eyes shifted across a distant set of Martial Masters who fought together as a group. On the crest of their Martial attire was the crest of the Silas Clan.
His eyes sharpened at them as he directed a sweeping gaze across the entire battlefield at the various Martial Masters between them.
The Kandrian Empire had truly gained an enormous amount of Martial Masters, courtesy of himself, of course.
However, it also made his goal difficult.
Especially when there were powerhouses among them that were strong even by his standards.
BOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
BOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
BOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
The Gatekeeper unleashed a tremendous onslaught of destructive power with his devastating blows that shook the world. His body shone with the brightness of a supernova, unleashing the very Sun upon the entire world, not just because of the light produced by his Martial Heart, but also because of the esoteric substances integrated across his entire frame, glowing brightly with a myriad of colors and lights.
A tremendous wave of radioactivity emerged from him, washing over the entire world as he unleashed an astronomical amount of power across the entire battlefield.
In terms of raw power, he had already entered the Sage Realm, even if at the very bottom. If not for his Martial Mind being entirely irrelevant in combat, he would have been able to tap into the true power of a Martial Sage. He had come to develop the most powerful Martial Body in the history of humankind, one that was nothing short of a mini-nuclear reactor, going as far as to being able to produce sparks of materia prima with his raw physicality alone.
And yet, he wasn't the only Martial Master with an astronomical amount of power.
BOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
Nel grinned ferociously as his superhuman physicality allowed him to unleash great impacts with his sheer physicality, battering beasts and monsters with his tremendous power. He ran around the battlefield without any care for battle formation, while the other Martial Masters had simply learned to ignore his antics greatly in the past ten years, while they stayed in formation, unleashing their power in more orderly fashions.
BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!
Fae narrowed her eyes as she unleashed a barrage of palm blows against a griffon, battering its ribs with her raw power as she maneuvered, avoiding its retaliation. In the past ten years, with the help of the manifold and Ieyasu, she had managed to break through to the Master Realm.
