Chapter 399 - 252: An Su’s Second Angel Envoy—Flower Fairy!

Mosquito... a mosquito?

The Druid Sorcerers repeated this unfamiliar term, looking at the small black insect fluttering about the room—a deep black torso, two pairs of semi-transparent thin wings, a shallow layer of fluff covering its abdomen and chest, compound eyes formed by numerous overlapping eyes on its head, and most notably, the slender and delicate proboscis extending from between the eyes.

The body of this little bug was so minuscule that if one did not concentrate their spiritual power to carefully examine it, they wouldn’t be able to track its movement at all.

There wasn’t a trace of magic power within it, and its lifespan was pitifully short.

This so-called Fallen Angel was so fragile that an ordinary person could crush it between two fingers.

The Druid Sorcerers shook their heads in resignation, while also secretly breathing a sigh of relief. So it was just a little bug, no need to bother about it.

They had just listened to An Su recite quite a lengthy anchoring phrase, with words like ’a Fallen Angel wandering the human realm’ and ’the black full stop of world destiny.’ He even brought out concepts like ’invisible’ and ’immortal.’ They thought An Su was about to summon a plague Evil God from an exotic land.

But in the end, it was just a tiny insect, which couldn’t help but make one scoff. Was this the vampire of the Otherworld?

The people of that Otherworld must have it too easy.

Even the bystanders showed a relaxed and relieved smile. What harm could such a small bug do? There was no need to bother about it, and the venue instantly filled with a joyful atmosphere, except for Bishop Noah, who maintained a solemn expression.

"Meow." Luo Xiaohei seemed to scoff and meowed several times. She pointed her tail tip at the little bug dancing in the air, covered her face with her paws, and let out a big laugh, meowing so much that she was bending backward with laughter.

An Su had surely failed in his summoning, just a little bug, and they called it a Fallen Angel, which didn’t contain a speck of magic power, and it couldn’t even qualify as a low-tier demon creature. It truly was laughable.

The Fallen Angel vibrated its wings and drew several curves in the air, humming and buzzing, and in the blink of an eye, it zipped over to Luo Xiaohei’s nose.

"Buzz buzz."

The cat’s instincts exploded in an instant. Uncontrollably, she leaped up, her paws lashing out fiercely with a smack to the center of the nose, so fast that afterimages trailed in the air. Luo Xiaohei couldn’t help but let out a soft meow. How dare this tiny insect provoke her, the Elf Lord?

The reaction of a cat is seven times faster than that of other creatures.

The buzzing whisper stopped instantly.

She looked apologetically at An Su, standing proudly with her hands on her hips, indicating that Saintess had accidentally killed your summoned object.

An Su watched Luo Xiaohei with an amused gaze and remained silent.

Luo Xiaohei didn’t see any look of anger or sorrow on An Su’s face, which puzzled her a bit. She blinked and then heard the buzzing sound start up again by her ear.

Luo Xiaohei was shocked and quickly turned her eyes downward to her nose, which was now slightly swollen into a small red lump, like a tiny red ball hanging at the tip of her nose.

Itchy.

"Meow?"

She scratched at it with her paw, but the more she scratched, the itchier it got. The buzzing noise became louder around Luo Xiaohei again. As she scratched at the red bump, she suddenly felt a chill on her back, and a similar itching sensation attacked her from behind. She had also been targeted there. Luo Xiaohei became angry in the moment, flustered to receive such an insult after having been a cat for so many months, and she immediately turned around to locate the source of the buzzing.

"Meow! Meow!" She cursed.

But she didn’t find the insect. When she tried to locate the Fallen Angel by the sound, the buzzing noise would immediately stop—this was ’Inaudible.’ When she searched for the Fallen Angel, the strange trajectory it made as it fluttered in the air would also vanish instantly—this was ’Invisible.’

The study room was eerily quiet, the dusk light filtering through the blinds cast upon the bookshelves as the last evening of summer approached, with the dust in the air and sunlight intertwining in a distorted dance.

Luo Xiaohei held her breath and searched intently for a while, but still no sign of the Fallen Angel reappeared, so she relaxed her guard, ready to boast proudly to An Su of her might. However, as soon as she turned around, she saw the gentle whispering of the angel coming from behind her, and the Divine Punishment of the Fallen Angel struck instantly!

"Meow!"

She cried out piteously, smacking her back with her paw, only to find in horror that her paw couldn’t reach the targeted spot. This time, the Fallen Angel attacked where Luo Xiaohei couldn’t scratch herself.

What kind of damned thing is this?

I am the Chaotic Saintess, Elf Luo Xiaohei!

Such a useless creature that I could kill with one swipe of my paw.

Elf Luo Xiaohei’s fur stood on end, and she huffed angrily, ready to use her seven times faster reaction speed to settle the score with that Fallen Angel...

Two minutes later, Luo Xiaohei sat deflatedly on the table, her face covered with little red bumps, her eyes blank and ashen, like an eggplant beaten by frost. She shook her tail, signaling her surrender, begging it to stop biting her.

She realized that unless she used her spiritual power, she couldn’t catch that thing with just her cat body.

Sorry for not making Lord Mosquito exert its full strength....

The Fallen Angel buzzed and spiraled around An Su. Since it was his summoned object and its soul was inscribed with a contract, it instinctively couldn’t harm An Su.

The weird black line curled around the young man, the crow mask reflecting a stern luster in the twilight, his black robe enveloping him sent shivers down one’s spine, and suddenly there arose an illusion that this young man was a messenger from Hell.

An Su watched this cursed creature that emerged circling around him, suppressing the urge to slap it dead with his hand.
