Chapter 1544: Chapter 1544: Wanting to Rob Him
Throughout the journey, Beiting Huang did not rest. When the sky began to darken, he could see the canyon formed between Sword Mountain and Green Mountain, which extended deep into the Slaughtering Spirit Mountain Range—the people of the Dark Demon Realm referred to this canyon as Sword Spirit Canyon.
The mountain ranges on both sides stretched as far as the eye could see, countless peaks soared into the sky, piercing the clouds. Beneath the gloomy sky shrouded in faint black mist, frightful roars of beasts occasionally burst forth, stirring up the Spiritual and Demonic Qi between heaven and earth.
Here, magical beasts gathered in droves, with numerous formidable presences occasionally leaking out and causing one’s hair to stand on end and sending shivers down the spine. Over ten million years, who knows how many magical beasts have reproduced and thrived here, guarding the creators of this plane.
But, Beiting Huang was very clear that the most terrifying thing wasn’t the magical beasts, but people.
Those who could come and go within the Sword Spirit Mountain Range were not necessarily individuals with extremely strong combat power, but they undoubtedly possessed great strength. Among them, people from the Spirit Realm and the Otherworldly Evil Domain were the ones Beiting Huang needed to be most wary of.
As Beiting Huang ventured deeper into the Sword Spirit Canyon, a chilling aura pressed upon him. This aura stemmed from the demon god’s Crown Tomb; after all, a tomb is still a tomb. And when a demon god fell under such circumstances, it would not be surprising for grudges to be held. Over the long years, it was inevitable that a sinister aura would gradually envelop it.
This malicious aura could easily erode a person, but not Beiting Huang. His flesh, having been tempered by lightning power, was impervious to such malevolent energy. Nevertheless, to prevent his magical beasts from being harmed, Beiting Huang still invoked the Nine-Colored Nirvana Fire, enveloping them in its embrace.
Perhaps due to the terrain, as they flew forward, the malicious aura gradually faded. By now, they had reached the depths of the Sword Spirit Canyon, very close to the Crown Tomb. Several groups that had arrived early had already set up tents and lit bonfires, the faint glow of the fires dispelling some of the eerie atmosphere.
These people were clearly desperadoes who lived life on the edge, licking blood off the blades. Seeing Beiting Huang alone, some harbored ill intentions in their glances. After all, he was a young man dressed in fine clothes, but upon seeing Lightstream, whom he rode, and a green-eyed black cat perched on his shoulder, these people abandoned any thoughts of making a move.
Assessing the situation was always the key to these people’s survival.
Even though Beiting Huang was alone, the magical beasts by his side were extraordinary. One must know, in the Dark Demon Realm, beast tamers were rarer than the stars in the sky. Only forces with extremely strong backgrounds could afford to keep such people.
Unless they could silently take out Beiting Huang without a trace, it was best not to provoke such trouble.
Beiting Huang found a secluded spot to rest. He had been chased by that wretched bird for over ten days in the Slaughtering Spirit Mountain Range and was very aware of the dangers lurking within. Even with a retinue of powerful magical beasts, he did not dare traverse the Slaughtering Spirit Mountain at night.
Seeing Beiting Huang pick a spot to set up a tent facing away from the wind at the foot of a mountain, the nearby groups were amazed. The young man was very young, but he did not lack experience in the outside world. In fact, it was quite rich.
One of the groups was from the White Shark Gang. The leader, White Shark, kept a vigilant eye on Beiting Huang, afraid of being recognized. He had personally seen Beiting Huang fight with Ming Su and knew that the former was not to be trifled with.
“Thinking of robbing him?” White Shark scoffed after sensing the intentions of the other groups, “You’d have to be tired of living to provoke that guy. Do they think they’re stronger than the Tiger Gang?”
What do you think?
