Ahko's mother wipes Ahko's tears coming down from her eyes. A day ago her mom brought her to the adventure guild to check her rank, her mother never intended her to be an adventurer, every child after they turn 13 is required to check their rank.

It's normal to see a child's rank to be an E or D, in some rare cases it can be an F rank, but the child can be trained to become stronger. But in Ahko's case, the orb that was supposed to tell the child's rank didn't even give a single light in it.

They think that maybe the orb is broken but nope, she tested 4 more orbs and all 4 of them didn't show any light, after careful consideration the guild decided to give a new rank to the little girl, The G Rank, the new lowest rank.

Once the guild announced that, it spread like wildfire, and everyone talking about it, even spread to every continent in the world.

"Everything is gonna be okay sweetie... Your mother and father are here will protect you."

"It's okay Ahko, once you train yourself your rank will not be a G anymore, I promise you! I'll train you myself!"

Ahko smiles seeing her parents cheering her up despite her being a G rank, most parents would disown their child, but she's lucky she has a lovely parent who supports her in any way.

But the scene fades away replacing the bright cheering of her parent to a dark eerie room.

"She's dead right?"

"Yeah, she's dead, she still got a faint pulse but she'll be dead soon. Let's get out of here."

"Alright, let's go back to Ken, I wonder why he wants to call a hit on her, she's literally a nobody."

The sound of an old wooden door closing in and getting locked outside.

Inside lays a girl, with a malnourished body, messy silver hair, cuts all over her body, her clothes are in shambles, the obvious sign of multiple people ravaged her insides, and the almost lifeless eyes.

Ahko never really fulfills anything throughout her life, she tries to be a great companion but she often gets rejected or just being used as a tool to drive away powerful monsters.

She tries to get up, but she can't, this time she can't get up, she can feel her breathing getting slower and quiet, her heart beating slowly as time passes.

But she's not going to let them get away with this easily, after 5 years of torture and humiliation, her parents dead on her arms 2 months after she gets her rank, it's like the world is telling her to just give up on this life and go to another more meaningful life.

She will not give up now, even if she's the lowest rank she will find a way to take her revenge, but the pain is too much to bear, she closes her eyes thinking she can't do anything.

A bright light shines on her eyes. She opens her eyes and sees a shadowy figure standing in front of her.

"H-Hello...? A-am I in heaven?..."

Ahko asked worriedly, she thought the people who humiliated her and tortured her would get away.

The figure turns around but even then Ahko couldn't see anything beside its shadow.

"That... is what you wanted... right?.. I can help you achieve your goals."

A pair of wings burst out of the figure's back and they are flapping with pride. It's not an angel's wing, at least that's not how it is portrayed in the church, but instead, they look more like demon's wings.

"W-Who the hell are you...?

She asked in confusion, if it's not an angel but rather a demon, then why is it so bright and not dark?

Minutes pass, the silence is making Ahko a little uncomfortable, did she say something wrong? What is going on? Then suddenly.

DING!

"H-Huh??"

A panel with a blue background opens up in front of her.

"System has successfully connected with the user..."

She has never seen something like this. It just came out of nowhere, it looked too advanced even for her world.

The Figure says in pride as it's the most impressive thing it's ever done.

Ahko's eyes revert back to the system, she hovers her fingers to the panel then the alphabet comes out waiting for her to enter her name.

Ahko was astonished to see a very obvious much more advanced panel than the one in the guilds.

Ahko's eyes wander around it until she sees the Hp.

"... Is Hp how much health I have left...? Looks like I am about to die..."

"You are supposed to be dead, but I revived you."

Her eyes check on the demon in confusion.

"Me? Out of all people? Why? I'm clearly not the chosen one."

The demon simply chuckles and shakes its head.

"Silly you, the reason why it's because I sense your thirst of revenge."

"W-Well I know that but how did you sense that? Did you hide somewhere when I was..."

Ahko tries to recall what was happening a few hours ago but her trauma wouldn't let her.

"No, I sense your thirst for revenge even in the demon continent, that's how strongly you want your revenge, it's spread even to the demon continent, bravo.."

The demon slowly claps and puts its hand on her shoulder.

"I'll explain the system to you."

Its hand points to each word in the system.

"These words on top are categories, so status is your stats, abilities are your abilities, quest is your ongoing quest or mission, etc. I'll explain more but first we get to the Status."

"O-Okay..."

"Level, every time you increase it, you become stronger. Exp, it's for the Level so when the requirement is filled your level goes up by one, the way you fill it is by killing monsters, demons, and humans work as well."

"So hypothetically if I kill like a small rabbit will I get exp?"

"Yes, but in small amounts, the stronger your opponent the exp will be much larger."

Ahko was dumbfounded by that statement, she can just grind and kill a lot of small animals and she becomes stronger? That's too good to be true...

"That sounds... Way overpowered..."

"That's because it is, I made it with my hands, it's very difficult to make this, and I give it to you."

Ahko gets a little flustered but maintains her composure.

"T-Thank you?... I guess..."

The demon nodded and continued his explanation.

"Hp is your health, I don't think I need to explain that further, Mp is how much mana you have, so currently you only have 1, but for example when you get 10000 mana, you can do an outstanding spell that would make S rankers pissed their pants."

"How am I gonna increase them?"

"Stamina comes up, this will deplete whenever you do something or you use a skill."

"Next is Rank, it's your current rank. Class is what class are you in, such as warrior, mage, etc.

"Now we get to the fun stuff. STR, is your strength, the more it increases the more your physical strength gets stronger. SPD is your speed. DEF is your defense, same as AGL for agility, and INT for intelligence, INT increases the power of your spell the more you increase your INT you can get to the stronger spells."

"You really are ignoring me..."

"Now I can answer your question. VIT is your vitality it is related to your Hp. MPC is your mana capacity, and lastly STA is not to increase your stamina capacity but more like reduce the amount of stamina it takes."

"Oh, so that's how I'm gonna increase them."

"They only increase when your level increases, you use abilities or spells to increase your stats, or you use a weapon that increases your stats."

"I think I understand it."

She understands most of them but her eyes are stuck to her class being nonexistent. Which to her makes sense since she always switches to a different class every time but all of them don't work out.

"Spot on. We gonna get to this right now."

The demon slapped her face, 1 slap and she was almost knocked out, she quickly gazed at the demon with a shocked face.

"W-What was that for!?"

"So you wouldn't think this is a dream."

"It was a rhetorical question!!"

"And it was pretty funny to see you getting spooked like that. Anyways let me continue."

Ahko dumbfounded by that revelation, she? Becomes a demon? Humans despise demons for their lack of empathy.

Demons were once scattered everywhere throughout the world, each race of demons has their own territories, and they are not friendly to each other, most go to war to get the other territories, and even use humans to help them. The demons never cared about the humans, if they were injured they left to rot, they only saved themselves.

After centuries of war, The Demon King brought peace to the demons, instead of being scattered everywhere, they now reside in the demon continent thanks to The Demon King. But that doesn't mean they are friends with each other, each race has their own territories inside the demon continent and some have fair and shared border disputes. But due to The Demon King, they are at least cooperating with each other.

Ahko is fine being what abomination she is but being a demon is certainly going to make things difficult in human society.

Ahko is still in the shed and there are people around, luckily she's not in the bush area. Still, if anyone sees her there would be a hit on her and she wouldn't want that first day after she gets revived.

"I-I'm gonna become a demon...?"

"Yes, go to the Demonic tab and you'll understand."

Ahko felt a sharp pain on her forehead, she itched the pain but it didn't go a way, then she felt it.

2 pointy things growing on her head, but only small horns.

"W-What the hell is this? Did I just become a demon?..."

The demon touches the horns trying to see if it'll continue growing.

"Mhm, looks like they only grow that much for now. When you level up your Demonic powers, your demon appearance will get more obvious so wear a hood to cover yourself."

"I-I see..."

The demon raised its hand and a dagger appeared out of thin air onto its hand.

"I will give this weapon to you. Call it a starter weapon, you wouldn't want to fight your opponent with fists."

The dagger has an eerie aura in it, even as a starter weapon, it looks like it's better than most weapons ever made.

Ahko held the dagger, it felt very lightweight as if she didn't hold onto anything at all.

"User has equipped The Dagger of Mischief (Fragments 1/10)"

"Once held by the God of Mischief himself but after The War of The Gods, it split into 10 pieces across the world.

It is said that anyone who holds the fragments will cause them confusion, insanity and later death."

The dagger continue to emitting ominous aura and makes Ahko's head to be hurt. But she hold on to it for a few minutes, then the aura dissipates.

Ahko sighed in relief, she moved the dagger around and noticed how fast she was slashing and cutting with it.

"W-Wow... Only ina few seconds and I already become this powerful...?"

"That's the power of the system, now your strength is equal to that of an F rank, be proud that you finally get out of your G rank."

"T-Thank you! I'll never forget what you did for me..."

"But now, our meeting has come to an end."

"W-What?"

A portal appear behind Ahko and it sucked her in, she tries to fight it but to no avail.

"W-Wait! You haven't explained to me the Help tab!"

"The Help tab is just the encyclopedia, you can see it when you get revived."

"O-Oh... Okay..."

Ahko's hand is already inside the portal and the demon figure's start to disappear.

"Goodbye, Ahko. We will meet again in the future but not in this state..."
