The Path to Becoming The Worst Villainess

Ahko roamed around the ghost forest trying to find the temple deep inside it, but every time she thought she was getting closer, she ended up outside of the forest, even the system couldn't help her since the fog kinda messed it up. Though this makes killing more snakes than she normally would, so far it has been hours yet she is still on the outskirts of the forest.

She rests on a nearby tree while still killing the snakes that are trying to kill her, she knows this will be harder than the forest or even the bandit base, hours upon hours yet she still ends up outside of the forest every time which infuriates her. She tries to cast the fire hand spell but since it's still level 1, it couldn't do that much besides maybe lighting up her hand.

Since she bought no food going into this journey, she eats the dead snakes she killed not forgetting to cook it first, and obtained some abilities, and one of them might help her for this journey.

The Infrared Sight ability makes it so she can see the heat of beings, now this doesn't look that much but when its level increases, the distance she can see with it will increase as well. Since the snakes are cold-blooded, it's a little difficult to see them with sight but they can still be distinguished from objects. With this, she can keep increasing the level by eating the snakes, even though the snakes are horrible to eat, it'll be worth it.

But she didn't know how much it needed to increase the level, the system couldn't tell her since it was still in the 1st evolution and it's not capable of doing such, and she couldn't just upgrade it in the shop. What makes it worse, is she has to eat the snake individually, she can't just eat one part of a snake multiple times until her level increases, she has to eat every individual snake to increase the level, though the good part is she can eat one part of a snake then throw it out and eat another one.

But at some limit, the snakes will be afraid of her since she killed so many and their population will dwindle, she has to actively search for them, kill them, and eat them. The thing is, the snakes are very agile inside the fog, it wouldn't be that hard to outrun the snakes but the thickness of the fog makes them completely gone within seconds of reaching Ahko's sight.

Even when using the Infrared Sight, she can only see 5 meters away before the snakes blend in with the surrounding objects. She can see maybe one or two snakes with the sight before they go away or get eaten by her.

After 200 snakes she had eaten out of 356 she killed, the level increased to level 2, and now she can see even further beyond 5 meters, which isn't a lot but it's something better than 5 meters. The snakes are actively hiding from her, not trying to be her meal which makes it even harder for her to level up her ability.

She tried to traverse deep into the forest with the level 2 ability but it ended up the same if she wasn't activating it. Not only does her trying to level up the ability feel like an eternity, but some eyes that are watching her also feel the same thing.

Getting lost in the ghost forest is nothing new for someone like her rank, never in history has someone ventured far deep into the forest and found the temple, that's why Cassie orders her to go to that specific temple.

The thing that weirded them is the fact that Ahko is eating the snakes while venturing to the temple, sure she doesn't have any food to begin with but she can just leave the forest and eat food in a restaurant rather than eat a snake that is barely cooked. It isn't like she's that far into the forest, she's still on the outskirts of it.

"Hey... Why does she keep killing the snakes and eating them...?" Cassie asked.

"Is this the part of the brainwash?" Arwen questioned

"Why the hell did the brainwash make her interested in eating snakes? And not only 1 snake, it's been hundreds!!" Cassie yelled in confusion.

"Maybe it's her kink..?" Eros answered half-heartedly

"There's a kink for eating snakes..?" Merphos gazes towards Eros.

"There is a lot of kink Merphos... And I believe this type of kink is specifically for the venom." Eros answered doubt.

"Ain't no way the girl we about to give blessing have a fetish on venom snakes." Arwen couldn't believe it.

"I think the fog makes her go crazy." Arwen concludes.

"The fog is not poisonous Arwen... Or maybe because she can't see anything except the snakes so she ate them?" Merphos stated.

"Maybe the venom they injected..?" Eros gives her opinion

"It's just a normal venom like any other venom Eros.." Cassie answered.

"She does act a little strange after eating a lot of them." Merphos stated.

"It looks like she catches them more easily." Arwen

"...What kind of unique ability does she have..?" Cassie asked.

"I think she has some kind of improvement every time she kills a monster." Merphos stated.

"Isn't that like every other being?"

"To a greater extend." Merphos added.

"I don't think acting like this is an improvement, she looks more like a weirdo now." Arwen stated.

"Don't insult this girl we're about to bless." Cassie is irritated by Arwen's statement.

"Sorry sorry, my bad." Arwen apologizes.

"Has she killed enough snakes already? Is she trying to exterminate all the snake population?" Merphos questioned.

"She's still on the outskirts Merphos... If she's trying to do that she has to try a little harder than that." Eros muttered.

"It's kinda interesting seeing her just keep fighting the snakes for no reason." Arwen uttered.

"I never seen someone kill so many snakes on their own term, usually you see this because they were forced." Merphos added.

"I mean she's kinda perfect if we want a killing machine that doesn't care about any beings even her own."

"The next question is how much stamina does she have? She's been killing them for days now."

"A killing machine that has no mercy and can keep up for days? That's a steal!" Cassie excitedly speaks.

"I'm a little concerned about this girl's mental health."

"You mean her or me?" Cassie stares coldly at Arwen's eyes

"Her, of course, the fuck? I wouldn't insult someone who is near me." Arwen quickly freed himself from Cassie's gaze.

"You better be." Cassie reverts back to the screen.

An awkward silence fell into the 4 gods, Cassie may be The God of Mischief but her personality is not that of mischievous. She's like the leader or the smartest sinner god out of the 7. She's one of the weakest yet she always finds a way to defeat all the sinner gods by herself, and even most of the saint gods in a friendly battle but ultimately gets defeated by Ariana, The God of Prosperity. Since then, a silent rivalry appeared between them but Ariana didn't know about this, only Cassie since her pride had been halved by her. All she wanted was a little revenge, that is creating a powerful being to wreak havoc Tirna.

Since the ghost forest blocked the light from the outside, she doesn't know it has been 4 days since she's been there and have eaten a total of 1464 snakes and have the infrared ability have been leveled up to level 4.

A familiar sharp pain appeared on her forehead as she could feel the horns on it grow slightly, but the pain was overshadowed by the fact that she now could see much farther using the infrared sight ability, she could traverse deep into the forest with a little difficulty since the range is still a little small compare to the forest.

"I have to kill 10000 monsters and 400 more humans..?" Ahko muttered confused.

"Why does being just a demon have to be so fucking hard? Is this what a demon has to do every day or something?" Ahko angrily complains about the requirements.

"Going to the next evolution huh... I'm going to be a full pledge demon..."

Ahko mumbles knowing her humanity will be vanished once she steps foot onto the next evolution, but nothing is gonna stop her from becoming stronger even if it means she will lose her humanity. Ahko shoves aside the thoughts of keeping her small humanity left and goes deep into the forest. Along the way she can see the snakes are much greater in numbers compared to the outskirts, probably because she killed so many in there.

Ahko doesn't know how long she's been in the forest, all she knows is that she has at least a couple more days left to go to the temple, or else this journey is for nothing. The snakes cowardly slither away from Ahko when they hear or see her coming to what looks like their nest. They know from the fact that she has gone so far into the forest it means they have nothing against her, and most of the survivors from the outskirts communicate with the residents in the deep forest to back away whenever they hear a footstep or see a demon girl.

After hours of traversing into the forest, she found a giant cave that was filled with many snakes though most of them fled into the cave once they saw her coming, a huge slithering could be heard inside the cave as the snakes that were trying to escape from her, suddenly come back and surrounded her, all of them hissed towards her in a rather erratic and also aggressive way as if they are cheering for whoever is coming outside the cave and angry towards Ahko for killing their brothers.

A huge and long tongue suddenly comes out of the cave at such speed and almost latches on Ahko but she avoids it and successfully cuts the tongue which causes a huge screech inside the cave. Since now she knows what she's up against, she's ready for whatever that thing is inside the cave, she knew if she was caught off guard, she'd get dragged inside the cave and potentially become their food.

Then, more tongues come out of the cave trying to catch her, since she has more speed compared to the tongues, she can easily dodge them but can't cut the tongues since they all coming out all at once, at this rate, her stamina will be depleted and she will lose against these cowardly beings inside the cave too scared to fight her head on.

Decided not to waste any time and stamina, she waited for the opportunity to catch one of the tongues, hopefully strong enough to lift one of them outside the cave and kill it, then continued with the other snakes. The smaller snakes also try to help the beings inside the cave but Ahko is too fast for them to bite her. Furthermore, most of them knew she's immune to their venom so they watched to not distract the beings inside the cave.

Once the opportunity arrived, she grabbed the slimy tongue and yanked out whatever was inside the cave, her eyes widened when she couldn't lift the being since her strength was not enough for its body and instead, the tongue wrapped around her and dragged her inside the cave.
