“Big brother!” Seeing Gu Changqing, Gu Jinyu felt as though she had spotted another lifeline. With tears streaming down her face, she ran towards him.

However, Gu Changqing didn’t notice her; he instead rode past her and halted near Gu Jiao. He dismounted his horse and hurried towards her anxiously, “Are you all right?”

Gu Jiao was changing dressings for a patient whose injuries were so severe that the bandages were instantly soaked with blood.

As an adult male, witnessing such a scene made Gu Changqing feel strange. He reached out his hand, “Give it to me.”

Gu Jiao shook her head, “There are a few more patients over there; you help move them first.”

“To the Medical Hall?” Gu Changqing asked.

“Yes.” Gu Jiao nodded.

Gu Changqing immediately commanded his men to use wooden boards to carry the patients out.

There was a patient who had a sprained ankle and minor external injuries. Gu Changqing carried him straight on his back.

After carrying the person for a few steps, he suddenly felt a couple of hard-to-ignore gazes falling on him. He turned and saw a carriage parked at the back door.

While he was pondering, a rumbling sound came from the ruins.

Gu Changqing’s brow furrowed.

At that moment, the blacksmith cried out in alarm: “No good! The stove is about to blow again!”

The fire had not been controlled and had reached the stove in another boiler room, causing it to be on the verge of exploding.

A lot of Medical Halls arrived to treat the injured, including the previous haunt of the second intra-family rival—Huichun Hall.

Huichun Hall was one of the top Medical Halls in the Capital City. They brought six doctors, but they treated less than half the number of patients that Mysterious Hand Hall did.

What’s more, many of the injured asked to be transferred to Mysterious Hand Hall for continued treatment.

“Shopkeeper He, don’t you think that girl looks a little familiar?” An older doctor asked.

Shopkeeper He watched Gu Jiao’s retreating figure.

He didn’t get a clear look at her face, but he was very familiar with that basket she was carrying.

Wasn’t she the little medical student who accompanied their rival to the Villa?

The doctor said, “I heard that after our rival left the Hu Family, he opened up a new Medical Hall in the Capital City. Apparently, it’s the Mysterious Hand Hall. Could it be the same one as we just saw?”

Shopkeeper He said, “Impossible, right? The doctors at Mysterious Hand Hall are more skilled than ours. Where did he get such capable doctors from?”
