After the surprising gift Wai Tian gave to me, I gained a new essence within me, and perhaps what would then divide into yet another Ego from my Myriad Egos. I think the more Egos I accumulate, the stronger my Myriad Self Martial Arts could become, as they’re the primary ingredient of their powers.

After all, the Myriad Self Arts is not just the power to create clones—no, not at all. It is the power to combine all the abilities within me that created Egos of their own, fragments of my own self that divided themselves into their own… well, let’s say aspects of myself?

I don’t want to say personalities…

But anyways, I’ll have to perhaps cultivate that Art, and most likely concentrate inside of my Spirit Body, for that, I believe I need something else than just sleeping and trying to get there.

I need a Meditation Technique, and Wai Tian had plenty, so I’ll ask her about that.

Once lunch was over, everyone went on their own to train; although I was going to ask Wai Tian if she could share some techniques with me, Yin Sheng called for me beforehand.

“Ah, Yin Sheng! Yes? Is there something you need? Want to train together? Oh! I was considering learning Meditation Techniques. I think you could benefit from them too!” I said.

“Meditation Techniques…?” he wondered. “Hahaha, I don’t know; I’ve always been praised for my clear mind… Although even back then, I never truly had a calm mind… I was always slightly afraid of everything. But since I met you, my resolve has been strengthening, young lady Anna.”

“Oh, I see…” I nodded. “You must have gone through a lot… You did well until now.”

“Thank you… I owe you most of that to you, Lady Anna,” he sighed. “Although the Heavenly Demon offered me chances to grow powerful, I could never truly see that man as a mentor. “Yin Shen…” I felt slightly conflicted. “You don’t need to do that though; I don’t want anybody to sacrifice themselves for me, okay? Also, let’s be equals from now on; being a young master or whatever is not really my thing either. I brought you along because I wanted you to widen your horizons and get out of that Realm. Now that you’re outside, you should try to find your true purpose, a selfish one if possible, what YOU want instead of what the person you want to devote to wants.”

“Young master Anna…” The cute fox boy seemed a bit surprised; his black and gray-colored face, which was very cute, seemed rather serious, only making him cutter.

I want to pet him so badly!

Why are the people of this world so fluffy and cute? Damn it!

But if I do that, I’ll only ruin the moment, so let’s keep a straight face.

“Perhaps you’re right to choose what I desire,” he muttered. “After learning about you and your purpose and everything you’re working for, it is my own choice to help you and serve you. So please, rest assured, and don’t feel guilty about it. I do this because I chose to!”

“Yin… Fine, whatever, come here!” I said, hugging him tightly and petting his head, and then his fluffy foxtail. “Well done! That’s the spirit.”

“T-Thank you, Lady Anna, but… This is a bit embarrassing… Ugh, your chest armor is very cold and hard… My face hurts,” he groaned.

“A-Ahahah, sorry, sorry!” I quickly let go of him.

I didn’t even realize I was wearing my damn armor even now…

“Then, let’s go ask Wai Tian for some Meditation Techniques, shall we?” I asked. “I think you’re sometimes a bit unstable emotionally; it might help you gain some more inner peace.”

“I see… Perhaps, if you insist, I shall indulge into learning one then,” he said. “But why do you need one? You’re always the most calm and composed of everyone.”

“Well, I want to access my Spirit Body’s… Realm? I don’t know how to call it, and for that I think I need a Meditation Technique,” I said. “I have only accessed it through sleeping before, and I don’t want to try that out right now.”

“I see! Makes sense then,” he nodded. “Let’s go, young master Anna.”

He was still talking so formally; I didn’t really like that, but I guess it couldn’t be helped at the end.

Once that was over, as we moved to meet Wai Tian…

They all sound quite fine: a domain of shadows, a surprise attack with stealth added, assassination arts that use shadows and daggers (I bet my brother would love this one), and lastly, another embodiment.

I am fairly sure he hasn’t used this Skill yet, right? Wai Tian used hers, but Yin Sheng had kept himself away from using it. Perhaps he’s still lacking in terms of mastery over his body? Or is it something else entirely, I wonder?

Well, if the tigress managed to be able to use it after meditating for a while, I am sure Yin Shen could reach the same stage.

As for me, I’ll obviously take that Skill too; it means getting another Ego as well!

I once more felt another infusion of Divine Beast Spirit Essence, this time originating from the source of a powerful Constellation.

Well, the White Tiger is also a strong Constellation, but they’re sealed after what happened in the last war between the Heavenly Jade Emperor’s Nebula and the Four Sacred Beasts…

However, the Nine-Tailed Fox is from a different Nebula, well, they don’t particularly belong to any but are from the Constellations that draw their power and form from the myths and fairytales of Japan.

Maybe with this, I could create a connection with her… Though in this Abandoned World, she cannot really access any channels. It’ll have to wait until I go back. She and a few other Yokai Constellations could be very important for what’s about to happen in Japan in the future.

Shuten-doji’s son awakening, within the tombs that will appear in the Second Awakening, who would unify all the Oni Tribes in Japan and then completely genocide all the people there to help his father descend through their sacrifice.

“Ah, Wai Tian, I was wondering if you could share some of your Meditation Techniques with us?” I asked her, sitting by her side over the grass.

“I see. Does Yin Sheng also want one?” she asked.

“If possible, yes,” he nodded.

“Very well, but for what purposes?” she wondered. “Depending on what you need, there are different Meditation Techniques.”

“Oh, so that’s how it works?” I wondered. “Well, I want a Meditation Technique to help me access my Inner Spirit Body, is it possible?”

“Hmm, I see… I think I have what you need here,” Wai Tian gave me a scroll. “This is a multi-use Scroll to help you learn techniques quickly. It is not as instant as the other ones we were gifted just now, as it takes time, and you also need to imbue Ki into it for its contents and essence to be revealed.”

“Alright, thank you,” I nodded.

“And what about you, Yin Sheng?” Wai Tian gently smiled at him.

“Um, I was thinking… well, it’s about my emotions,” he said. “It’s embarrassing to admit it… But there’s a darkness inside of me, some ruthlessness that sometimes is not truly necessary. And I fear it might end up affecting me one day. So I was wondering if you had something for that?”

“Yes, the meditation I train,” Wai Tian smiled, patting his shoulders. “Let’s train together then! I’ll be your teacher.”

“Well, I didn’t expect this at all…” Yin Sheng said. “But I’ll be in your care, Wai Tian.”

“Yeah, let’s begin!”

I left the two training as I made my way back home, where I noticed Zero One and Fang Shuan practicing shapeshifting together, and then I also saw my familiars all training, sparring against one another.

Everyone was training despite this being supposed to be a break; I guess they really want to improve.

I sat over my bed as I looked at the scroll Wai Tian gave to me, opening it to reveal its letters as I imbued them with my Ki.

The letters glowed brightly; they resembled old Chinese writing, yet as they emerged and then entered my head, I could quickly begin to understand the technique.

“Huh, I see…”

By rapidly infusing it with Ki, I rapidly absorbed all of its information much faster than Wai Tian had said was physically possible, and in just an hour, the entire scroll’s contents were absorbed.

I closed my eyes, calming myself down.

All my swirling emotions, I discarded them one after another.

Then I relaxed, but not enough to fall asleep.

Nothing mattered other than myself, my own mind, and my spirit body.

And before I knew it, I found myself in that same space I saw in my previous dreams—an endless sea of darkness, rainbow light, and golden light, with the floating objects and everything.

And then they were there too…

“So you’ve made it here, huh? Not bad.”

“Welcome, Anna.”

“We’ve been waiting for you.”

“As you should have already guessed, yes, this is your Spirit Body Realm. A non-corporeal Realm of the Mind.”

My Egos were right there, talking to me as if we were all good friends!
