Chapter 190 - 81 Roll Out

Chapter 190: Chapter 81 Roll Out

All four military districts of Steel Dome City are located at the border between the city and the ruins.

The Southwest Military District is responsible for guarding the southwestern region.

Located within the city yet standing apart from it, the military district extends into the ruins.

With multiple checkpoints set up within, ordinary citizens are not allowed to step foot in the district.

Xu Mo and his companions’ vehicle entered the military district and, because the Old Dean had given prior notice, they were received and allowed to pass through smoothly, entering the inside of the district.

After getting out of the car, Xu Mo looked around.

...

This place was completely different from the city, somewhat desolate, with no steel skyscrapers. In the vast expanse of the military district, there were only armored vehicles, various military equipment, and training soldiers.

“Sun Fatty.” From a distance, a soldier walked their way and called out to Sun Fatty.

Xu Mo sized up the approaching person: in his forties, with slightly dark skin, a straight figure, and a face with exceptionally resolute lines.

“Instructor.” The soldier who had brought Xu Mo and the others saluted.

“You can go; I’ll take it from here,” the man said, and the soldier left.

“Sloan, our senior from Noah Academy,” Sun Fatty introduced him to Xu Mo and the others.

Once the students from the Extraordinary Academy graduate and enter the military district, they gradually become the backbone.

“I’m not that old yet. How is the Old Dean?” Sloan asked.

“Doing well,” Sun Fatty nodded.

Sloan nodded slightly and then turned to take a good look at Xu Mo and his party.

“Xu Mo, you are quite a celebrity,” Sloan said, stretching out his hand with a smile.

Xu Mo currently enjoyed considerable fame.

“Senior.” Xu Mo reached out and shook hands with him. Sloan said, “The folks from Noah Academy have already arrived ahead of you. Hearing that you were also coming, many wanted to meet you. Let’s go, I’ll take you to them.”

The group walked forward.

At the military district’s training field, many people stopped and looked towards Xu Mo and his group, with a line of people coming their way, all looking at Xu Mo curiously.

Many among them had come out of Noah Academy and were naturally extra curious about the closed-door disciple of the Old Dean.

Even though the Old Dean had retired and Xu Mo had left school,

the Old Dean was still the dean, and his disciple was certainly one of their own.

Students from Noah Academy also approached, having just sparred with the military district’s seniors and been taught a lesson.

“Xu Mo, I heard you’re quite impressive. Want to have a sparring match?” An officer asked Xu Mo with a smirk at the corner of his mouth.

“Junior Xu Mo, don’t be fooled. These seniors are all at Source Power Level B, and they might have reached it a long time ago,” a girl around eighteen, a representative chosen by Noah Academy, cautioned Xu Mo.

“True, Senior Manu is being a bit of a bully,” another male student chimed in.

“Source Power Level B, huh.” Xu Mo glanced at the senior with the smirk and smiled, “One-on-one?”

“How else?” Manu replied, smiling, “You can look for help if you want, that’s not a problem either.”

“…”

Xu Mo blinked and looked at Manu, speaking softly, “I meant, does senior want to call for help?”

“Huh?”

Manu paused, and the others also turned their eyes on Xu Mo.

This junior is rather interesting.

“Truly the disciple of the Old Dean, so audacious,” Manu said, patting Xu Mo’s shoulder, “But don’t boast too much or you’ll be losing face later.”

Sun Xiaoxiao’s eyes shone as she looked at Manu.

Feeling a bit sorry for him.

Someone was about to get thrashed.

“Alright,” Xu Mo nodded.

“Let’s go, Junior Xu Mo,” Manu said with a hint of anticipation, thinking he needed to teach the junior a lesson.

Hadn’t the Old Dean sent his disciple to the military district for training? That must be the intention, right?

To polish him up.

Before he knew it, Manu would realize how much he had misunderstood the Old Dean…

The two moved to the center of the training field, with soldiers around whistling. Many of Manu’s own soldiers called out, “Officer, good luck!”

“Don’t worry,” Manu called back with pride.

The students from Noah Academy were curious; Xu Mo’s previous combat record had been very impressive.

But after Manu graduated and joined the military district, his Source Power Level was already at B when he graduated. After undergoing the district’s trials, his combat power was very strong.

During the previous sparring sessions, many students from Noah Academy suffered losses against him.

“Junior Xu Mo, you take the first move,” Manu said, extending one hand and smiling ‘friendly.’

“Senior, then I won’t hold back.” Xu Mo nodded, and as soon as his words fell, he rushed towards the other side.

Neither of them used weapons, nor did they wear armor.

Seeing Xu Mo charging, Manu prepared himself, not underestimating his opponent.

The disciple of the Old Dean must have real strength.

Today, it was necessary to maintain his image in front of his soldiers.

With this in mind, Manu went all out, dashing forward as well. His military boxing exploded with ferocity and dominance, Source Power converging on his fist, faintly forming an energy fist shadow.

Xu Mo’s arm trembled, his Source Power surged, emitting a sound of tearing through the air as it smashed toward the other side.

The two fists collided.

“Bang.”

There was a loud noise, but Xu Mo didn’t move an inch.

Manu’s form slid backward before he managed to stabilize himself after several retreating steps.

The surroundings fell quiet.

Manu’s face turned red.

It was a massive loss of face.

“Do we continue, Senior?” Xu Mo asked in a low voice.

“Not bad.” Manu clapped his hands, his demeanor unaffected as though nothing had happened.

“Junior Xu Mo is indeed the closed-door disciple of the Old Dean. I only used fifty percent of my strength and got pushed back by junior; I was careless,” Manu said, and jeers and laughter echoed around.

“Cough cough…” Manu’s gaze swept towards some soldiers in the distance, who immediately quieted down but still contained their laughter.

At that moment, a whistle sounded in the distance.

Sloan glanced over there and said, “Everyone from the Eight Great Colleges should have arrived by now; you guys go over there and assemble. Manu, you’re in charge of leading the team.”

“Yes, Instructor.” Manu saluted and then said to the Noah Students, “Follow me.”

“Xu Mo, Junior Brother, do you want to come with us and have a look?” He knew Xu Mo wasn’t here as a representative of the academy.

“Okay.” Xu Mo nodded.

A group of people set out towards the front.

Inside the Southwest Military District were people from all eight colleges, so the higher-ups deliberately arranged for officers graduated from each college to lead the teams.

At this moment, people from the Eight Extraordinary Colleges were divided into eight camps, converging on a vast parade ground.

Since it was a special training, they would all be reorganized and put through drills.

Students from the various colleges sized each other up from eight different directions.

While the Eight Extraordinary Colleges all belonged to the Academy Faction and presented a united front to the outside.

It didn’t prevent competition amongst themselves, the students were always vying with each other in secret.

The Shijue College was still the most eye-catching.

A noble private school, wealthy, with strong equipment, the students had high overall quality, and they were the top Mecha department.

They also produced the most handsome guys and beautiful girls.

Although Lin Jue was a freshman, he was still particularly noticeable.

Furthermore, by his side was the blonde, long-legged beauty Olivia; the two standing together were extremely eye-catching.

Many people looked towards Shijue College, but Lin Jue’s gaze was the first to fix on Noah Academy’s direction, seeing a line of people walking over.

Among them was Xu Mo; he had come as well.

Olivia saw Xu Mo too, her beautiful eyes carrying a touch of coldness – it was this bastard who had made her lose face.

It wasn’t just them; soon, people from all the colleges noticed Xu Mo.

Xu Mo had once made waves at Nanming Academy; how could Nanming Academy not be familiar with him?

Now, Xu Mo could definitely be considered one of the most famous figures among the Eight Extraordinary Colleges, even comparable to Nanming Huowu.

Of course, Xu Mo had dropped out.

Quite a few people whispered among themselves, wondering why Xu Mo had come as well.

One could say that this entire upheaval was closely related to Xu Mo. Even though the struggle was among the higher-ups, Xu Mo was the catalyst.

“Brother Xu Mo, lots of people are looking at you,” Sun Xiaoxiao muttered next to Xu Mo, feeling that she was under the “spotlight” even though she was just beside him.

She was a little nervous.

Xu Mo naturally felt it as well.

At that moment, a figure stepped out from the crowd in the opposite direction, instantly drawing many gazes.

The one who stepped out was from Nanming Academy, and many recognized him.

Nanming Little Tyrant, Nanming Yan.

The younger brother of Nanming Huowu.

“What’s he planning to do?” The students from the various colleges looked towards Nanming Yan.

Nanming Yan was also a notable figure with great fame, especially within Nanming Academy.

His Combat Power was very terrifying; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been given the title “Nanming Little Tyrant.”

Nanming Yan walked towards the area where Noah Academy was located, his gaze fixated on Xu Mo the entire time.

The last time they sparred, it was interrupted by Nanming Huowu. He had been repelled by Xu Mo and had not been content since.

Today, he finally encountered Xu Mo again.

Nanming Yan stood in the middle of the parade ground, facing the direction where Xu Mo was located, and challenged, “You’ve already dropped out. What does the Eight Extraordinary Colleges’ affair have to do with you, and why are you here?”

This battle was theirs, the Eight Extraordinary Colleges’, and they did not need the interference of someone who had dropped out.

Upon hearing Nanming Yan’s words, the surrounding area gradually quieted down.

The Military District’s people did not intervene either.

The military has always revered martial strength.

This kind of incident was of the utmost interest to them.

Let them fight!

“Nanming Yan and Xu Mo have a conflict?” The people from the Eight Extraordinary Colleges showed a hint of surprise.

Xu Mo was someone who had shared a meal with Dean Nanming at the same table, clearly highly regarded by the Old Dean.

Moreover, there were rumors that he and Nanming Huowu were arranged to meet for marriage prospects, and although they might just be rumors, they indicated that Xu Mo and the Nanming Family should have a good relationship.

Yet, at this moment, Nanming Yan’s attitude was far from friendly, displaying a strong hostility towards Xu Mo.

Xu Mo looked at Nanming Yan. The last time, being blocked on the road inside the Nanming Family had been one thing.

This time, to be provoked again in public?

Considering the Old Dean’s words, Xu Mo gave Nanming Yan a glance.

The teacher had told him to be more assertive, not to hide his strengths.

Xu Mo understood the teacher’s underlying intentions.

Nanming Yan was about to take the fall.

If that was the case, might as well teach him a lesson on behalf of Dean Nanming.

“My business, what does it have to do with you? Since when is it your turn to butt in?” Xu Mo responded.

As his words fell, the surroundings suddenly became quiet.

The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder.

It seemed there was a good show on the horizon.

The vast parade ground suddenly became silent; the people from the Eight Extraordinary Colleges didn’t get involved, and the Military District’s people couldn’t be bothered to interfere.

They were all too eager to stoke the flames, to see a fight.

“Get out here!”

Nanming Yan shouted loudly, his voice booming like thunder, echoing across the parade ground, overwhelmingly domineering.

He clenched his fists, which crackled with a crisp sound.

Apart from the people of Nanming Academy, others from the Eight Extraordinary Colleges didn’t know much about Nanming Yan. They only knew that this “Nanming Little Tyrant” was not far behind his sister, Nanming Huowu, in terms of talent, young but aggressive and domineering in behavior.

Seeing him today, he truly lived up to his reputation.

Even when facing the unrivaled Xu Mo, he remained just as domineering.
