The SSS Ranked Villain's Return

Chapter 158 Emergency Code 04

—Neraxis Valen, smile over here!

—Take the fucking picture already, woman!

"Neraxis Valen... I apologize." The guard from earlier came up to him with a guilty expression.

"What did you do?" Neraxis asked, waving to the crowd of what seemed to be hundreds, if not thousands, of people gathered around.

"You see... progress like yours has never appeared in the tower... Most people who finish the 10th floor end up with a rank of around 100 million. You, on the other hand..." The guard trailed off.

"My ranking is in the 15 million range... I see." Neraxis finished with a sigh. "I'm just going to leave."

"I understand." The guard nodded. "But in my honest opinion, I feel like it would be best if you made a statement."

"I've already got the government on my ass. I don't want the media twisting my words too," Neraxis replied and glanced upward.

An innocent pigeon was flying around. After flashing a curt wave to the guard, Neraxis used {Sword Dash}, appearing in front of the pigeon and narrowly missing it.

Thankfully, there was a roof right below him, or else he'd freefall into the busy streets.

Nonetheless, he landed and let out a relieved breath before taking out his phone and checking the date.

October 2nd, 2367.

Shit... he grumbled. I was in there for two weeks? It felt like less than a week.

[Well, after your achievement, I don't think they will dare to expel you,] Evangeline remarked.

True. I guess I'll have to see... Is there anything I missed? He pondered for a moment before recalling a particular event. Magnus said he wanted to hear mine and Kael's answers regarding that special academy tournament... I guess that'll be my next stop.

Nonetheless, there was a bit of catching up to do as he began typing.

<Neraxis: Hi.>

<Idiot Sister: Hi? Really? We all thought you died, idiot.>

Chuckling, he replied.

<Neraxis: I'll be back home in a few minutes. I wanna buy some dinner first.>

<Idiot Sister: Mom said get back now, or she'll take away your allowance.>

At her message, Neraxis froze.

<Neraxis: Understood. I'll be there in two minutes.>

Not wasting a single moment more, he dashed across the rooftops like a blur.

Finally, he was back at his house, and in the very front, he saw his mother, Sophia, standing with her arms crossed. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

"Neraxis." She called out coldly. "While I don't impose a curfew on you, I think you should have the sense not to disappear for two weeks unannounced, don't you?"

"Sorry, Mom—"

She cut him off sternly. "Mom, not Mother. You can only call me Mother when you are married and have grandchildren. Understood?"

"Yes..."

"Yes, what?"

"Yes, Mom," Neraxis said, hiding his embarrassment.

"Good." She nodded with satisfaction. "Next time you disappear, I expect you to come back with a girlfriend."

At her words, he suddenly got an idea.

Evangeline, do you want to have dinner with my family? he asked with a bit of hesitation.

[I'd love to!] Evangeline replied without a moment of hesitation, excitement clear in her tone. [Here I thought you would hide me from your parents.]

I wouldn't do that. Neraxis let out a sigh before flashing his mother a sly grin.

"On the contrary..." He trailed off before casting one of his newest skills, {Body Manifestation}.

Immediately, a miniature red crack appeared in the air, and through it, long red hair cascaded down, followed by the body of a beautiful, curvy woman—Evangeline.

She was dressed in casual black clothing, perfectly matching the rest of her features.

Paired with the sleek black heels, she really stood out.

"H-Hi, Miss Sophia... Or should I call you Mom?" Evangeline said nervously.

And as she did, his mother's eyes rolled into the back of her head.

But before she could fall to the ground, Evangeline caught her before flashing Neraxis a conflicted look.

"...Did I scare her?"

"I think she was just too shocked to see you. After all, you look like a goddess," Neraxis praised with a chuckle as he approached her.

Seeing Evangeline in reality was rewarding, as not only was she beautiful, smart, and strong, but she was also someone who shared mutual feelings with him.

"I think we should head inside," he suggested, and she nodded, still carrying his mother in her arms.

"Sure... But let's not do anything too lewd while your parents are here..." Evangeline said with a flushed face.

"Well, we can always go somewhere else." He flashed a teasing look. "Though let's have dinner first."

"Okay..." Evangeline nodded, and they finally arrived before the front door, which Neraxis swung open.

As he did, he saw his sister standing beside the stairs, sipping some lemon juice.

Yet, as she spotted him and then brought her gaze over to Evangeline, Elara froze.

"N-Neraxis."

"Yes?" He acted oblivious.

"Is she...?"

"I'm his girlfriend," Evangeline finished with a warm smile before flashing Neraxis a mischievous grin. "And future wife."

"..." Elara stared at Evangeline speechlessly before the glass of lemon juice escaped her hands, landing clean on the floor and shattering. "...You are beautiful. Are you sure you like my brother?"

"I'm sure," Evangeline chuckled, and Neraxis went over to grab the broom, quickly gathering the shattered glass and putting it aside.

In the meantime, another pair of footsteps resounded from the living room as his father, Roskaris, finally arrived.

"What's with the commotion?" he asked, yet as he spotted Sophia passed out in another woman's arms and Elara's flustered expression, he soon put two and two together.

"Are you the new maid?"

"Father..." Neraxis let out a sigh. "She's my girlfriend, Evangeline. Act nice."

"Woah... To think my son was such a player. You really hit the lottery with this one, haven't you?" Roskaris exclaimed in amazement before walking over to Neraxis and ruffling his hair. "But damn, is Sophia alright?"

"I think she was a bit too shocked, but—" Neraxis halted. "Never mind, she's awake."

Sophia slowly opened her eyes, and once she did, the first three things that appeared in her sight were Evangeline's massive breasts as well as her beautiful face.

"D-Daughter-in-law?" she called out, reaching for Evangeline's face.

But before she could, Neraxis stopped her. "Mom, have some patience."

"B-But..." Sophia glanced around, spotting Roskaris. "Do you see this? Neraxis brought home a girlfriend. Husband... I think we need to do it."

Roskaris narrowed his eyes. "Are you suggesting what I think you are suggesting?"

Sophia aggressively nodded a few times, a serious expression appearing on her face. "Emergency Code 04... Elara, get the table ready. I will be unsealing the Ancient Dish of the Forgotten Empire."

"Yes, Mom!" Elara shot up like a soldier before running into the kitchen.

As for Roskaris, he reached his dimensional ring and pulled out some kind of strange black box with a complex-looking circular key slot.

Sophia gently stepped down from Evangeline's grasp and reached into her dimensional ring before pulling out a multi-sphere key, which she immediately inserted into the black box.

She twisted and turned a few times as if following a particular pattern until eventually, a loud click resounded.

And as it did, the black box dramatically opened, revealing some shabby parchment.

"This is it..." Sophia took a deep breath, glancing straight into Neraxis's and Evangeline's eyes. "This is the Ancient Blueberry and Coconut Jam recipe. I will go procure the ingredients."

"Mo—"

"Honey, I will procure the finest blueberries," Roskaris said with determination.

"I will handle the coconuts, husband," Sophia stated.

Immediately after, the two sprinted through the front door in unison before getting into their separate vehicles and driving away, leaving the stunned Neraxis and Evangeline behind.

"Your parents are a bit too excited." Evangeline couldn't help but giggle as she walked closer and interlocked her hands with his before placing a kiss on his cheek. "But I like them, and I hope they like me too."

Neraxis held her head tighter before returning the kiss—just this time, on the lips.

It was a simple kiss, which did not last long, but it did the job of conveying his emotions.

"They will love you, Evangeline, trust me," Neraxis said before pulling her closer and whispering into her ear. "Want a tour around my room?"

Her ears lit up bright red, but she nodded with a giggle nonetheless. "I suppose we can have some fun quietly..."
