Chapter 253: Talk, Tag Along, And Going Out On A Date
"R-R-Roskaris!" Sophia yelled. "Emergency Code 02! He skipped marriage!"
"This is a serious matter, dear..." Roskaris muttered, his gaze sporting disbelief. "Marriage... we'll have to rearrange the order, I suppose?"
"Indeed..." Sophia nodded aggressively. "Marriage will be Emergency Code 2 now, and p-pregnancy will be Emergency Code 3..."
"Mom, can you stop already..." Elara sighed. "Aren't you going to try convincing him against it? He's just as young as me."
"Right." Roskaris nodded, narrowing his eyes at Neraxis. "How old are you now? You spent some time inside the 5th floor, right? How long were you in there?"
Neraxis shrugged. "A little over a year. I'm 18 now, and my birthday should be in around two or three months. And no, I'm not changing my mind."
"Um... you said trying, r-right?" Sophia asked, her voice trembling. "Then that means..."
"Yep..." Neraxis nodded, not going into further detail. "Also, I expect you saw some kind of broadcast earlier, right?"
"Oh, that?" Roskaris commented. "We thought it was a prank, so we ignored it. Elara was hellbent on it being real, though."
"It's real," Neraxis added, causing both of his parents to freeze. "This world is about to get much more dangerous starting very soon, so I'd like all of you to not travel much. Preferably not at all."
"So I was right..." Elara muttered. "Neraxis, we're going to be having an outing in the academy soon. You're an instructor now, right? Do you think they'd let you tag along?"
"Oh?" Neraxis raised a brow. "Here I thought you were fearless, and now you want your big brother to watch your back?"
"Well... it's not just because of what's going to happen." She scratched her cheek. "One of my classmates said they're going to do something stupid..."
"Stupid?" Neraxis tilted his head. "And it's something the instructors can't handle?"
"Unlike a certain someone, I'm not that talented," Elara remarked with a scoff. "I'm in A class, and my instructor is not that strong. He's only B+ ranked."
"So you think I'm stronger?" Neraxis asked with a smile. "You do know I'm 18, right?"
Elara turned to Roskaris, who merely shrugged.
"Neraxis Valen, SSS Rank. Threat: World-Class Calamity. That's the file the government has on you."
Neraxis's brows furrowed. "And how exactly did they get that file on me?"
"I've heard they have an oracle who tracks the progress of everyone in this world. They might've seen the future or something. I can't really say much since I don't know myself," Roskaris replied and straightened his back. "On the other hand... have you thought of a name for the baby?"
"Not yet..." Neraxis shook his head, turning to Elara. "I'll come with you from the shadows."
"Alice, maybe?" Sophia suggested, causing Neraxis to flinch.
"Definitely not that name. Also, why are you going for girl names? What makes you so sure it won't be a boy?"
"Just a hunch." Sophia shrugged with a smile. "But even then, if not Alice, then maybe Elra? Zera? Hmm..."
"I'm not using any of them," Neraxis dismissed. "I'll let Evangeline pick the name. Well... unless it's bad, then I'll have to step in."
"Anyways... let's stop with that for now. Just don't move too much. Since you know how strong I am, then you should know I can help you as long as you listen to my instructions."
"I don't really like it, but we don't really have a choice," Sophia sighed, turning to Roskaris. "Right, honey?"
"I'm sure you've noticed by now, Neraxis, but I'm also pretty high-ranked. An A+ to be exact," Roskaris spoke. "Do you think there will be threats even stronger than you?"
"Oh, definitely." Neraxis nodded. "I'm still pretty weak in the grand scheme of things, and the people who will come after me will definitely do so with large grudges. But yeah, Mom, Dad, take care. I'm going upstairs. I'll be taking Evangeline out on a little date."
"Here I thought you were going to start trying today," Sophia giggled. "Good luck. Oh, and Elara's trip is in two days, if you're really going to tag along."
"Yep, see you in a bit," Neraxis said with a smile. He patted Elara on the head and walked upstairs.
He was still unsure of what trouble Elara was talking about, but since she wanted to call him out, then it had to be serious.
There's no way it's some pervert stalking thingy... right? Neraxis thought as a shiver ran down his spine. Probably not. Otherwise, a B+ ranked instructor would be able to handle it.
Nonetheless, he made it back up to his room, and the moment he did, he saw Evangeline sitting on the bed, fondling the breasts of the sleeping Amaterasu and Seraphina.
However, the moment she noticed him, she put the covers on the two of them before innocently glancing back at Neraxis.
"Hey, did you sort everything out?"
"...?" Neraxis's brows twitched. "Why were you groping their tits?"
"I was just checking out their proportions—I'll need to buy them clothes, after all," Evangeline replied with a smirk. "What? Are you jealous you weren't the one groping them?"
"Don't be ridiculous." Neraxis sighed. "Anyways, ready to go out? I took the spare key to my bedroom while my parents weren't looking. We can just leave them here with a note."
"Sure. Also..." Evangeline stood up, grabbed his hand, and placed it on her right breast. "What do you think?"
"It's squishy...? It's big too, just the way I like it," Neraxis replied, puzzled. "Do you think I prefer their breasts over yours?"
Evangeline flinched, looking away. "N-Nope. I just thought you didn't like smaller breasts."
Yours are the furthest from being small... Neraxis thought with a raised brow.
[You do know I can hear you, right?] Evangeline spoke inside his mind, giggling.
Neraxis facepalmed and extended his hand, gently grasping hers.
Then, he merely willed his mana outward, picked up a pen, wrote some instructions down for the two girls, and with that, he finally teleported out of there.
...Into an alleyway, with clothes already prepared.
"I... I'm going to force you to practice that every day until you master it," Evangeline said, putting those clothes on, and soon, they stepped out of the alleyway.
And of course, there was a neat little restaurant in front of him. Since it was owned by his family, he didn't need a reservation.
Now then... I guess this is our first actual date then.
What do you think?
