The Strongest Dragon in the Era of Beast Taming

“Oh no, I can hardly hold on anymore!”

Feeling the torrent of Arcane Force within his body pour out like raging waves, even the Wood Azure Flood Dragon, empowered by the strength of Skypillar Island and the Heavenly Azure Dragon, still felt a sense of draining weakness.

“This is going to suck me dry alive!”

Seeing that the wood azure fire could not touch David Jones, the Wood Azure Flood Dragon swallowed hard.

It glanced at the wounds on its dragon tail and decided to abort the trial.

Otherwise, if this were to continue, its strenuously maintained upper-level Class VIII strength would likely continue to fall.

“Congratulations on successfully passing the Trial of Heart.”

As soon as it spoke, the Wood Azure Flood Dragon immediately lashed its tail, retracting the wood azure fire drawn by the focusing of its mind and spirit.

After speaking, the dragon shadow of the azure flood dragon immediately disappeared into the lush forest, sending forth bursts of azure light to envelop David Jones.

This place is known as the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool, where one of the Seven Emperors Phantom Beasts, the Golden Flame Dragon, resides.

“Plop!”

Three Epic Beast Tamers, their faces flushed red and white steam constantly rising from their skin, spat out blood and nearly collapsed into the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool.

Then, a streak of golden light flashed, knocking those Beast Tamers and their Pets out of the pool.

“The Trial of Body tests your physique and will. If you can’t resist the fiery assault of the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool and complete the Calm Mind cultivation, it means your physique and will are not yet qualified to enter the next trial.”

The talking dragon was a behemoth covered in red armor, with a head resembling an ancient dragon and boiling eyes like fire.

Atop its head were a pair of dragon horns with rising golden flames. The dragon had four limbs with three claws each, every claw embedded with sharp fire crystals, and wings broad and strong, the inside of the membranes deep red like flowing magma.

“Another Legendary Beast Tamer has come!”

The Golden Flame Dragon snorted dissatisfiedly, “The Azure Flood Dragon isn’t brain-damaged, so why keep sending these weaklings over here.”

“Wait, there’s the presence of a Class VIII Imperial Beast and the Taikoo Black Dragon Chart too!”

Sensing something amiss, the Golden Flame Dragon instinctively raised its head, looking up at David Jones who had appeared above the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool.

“Fire generates earth, earth generates metal, metal turns into water, water generates wood. Deep within Skypillar Island indeed lies a Fire Arcane Force-rich super volcano,” David Jones carefully examined the flame pool below.

“Meow!” (Charge, charge, charge!)

Daphne tugged at David Jones’s sleeve, her eyes fixed intently on the Golden Fire Crystal, urging him impatiently.

Intuition told her that the abundant fire energy within the Golden Fire Crystal would help her perfectly assimilate the strength stored in her body from the Broken Crystal – Fire and the Dragon-Wielding power.

“Go ahead,” David Jones nodded slightly to Daphne.

“Another reckless one!”

Seeing that David Jones had not sent out a Class VIII Imperial Beast but instead dispatched a Class VII Pet to test the power of the Golden Fire Crystal, the Golden Flame Dragon internally shook its head, preparing to rescue this unfortunate pet.

The fiery energy in the pool was the fusion of the Heavenly Azure Dragon divine fire and the SS tier Level VIII Fire resource Golden Fire Crystal, possessing the power to burn the force of Emperor-level beasts.

But to conduct the Trial of Body, the Golden Flame Dragon deliberately restricted the fire’s potency in the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool; otherwise, any sub-Legendary fighter who entered would perish.

If that Class VII Pet was just testing the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool, that would still be manageable, but daring to test the Golden Fire Crystal was essentially courting death.

The Golden Flame Dragon watched Daphne’s descent with burning eyes, its Arcane Force resonating and connecting with the Golden Fire Crystal.

It would not allow a reckless strongman chosen by the Wood Azure Flood Dragon to break its traditional challenge rules.

However, in the next second, something happened that made the Golden Flame Dragon’s jaws drop.

Daphne serenely passed through the hazy fire energy hovering above the Lahyper-golden Flame Pool, stepping foot on the Golden Fire Crystal and happily started absorbing the Arcane Force within the crystal.

“This… This is impossible!”

Shocked, the Golden Flame Dragon immediately unleashed the power of the Golden Fire Crystal, trying to use the terrifying heat to drive Daphne back and declare ownership of the fire crystal.

“Meow!”

Sensing the fire crystal’s power swelling, Daphne became more delighted instead of alarmed, and the rate at which she devoured the Arcane Force with Swallow Flame surged exponentially.

Initially, she had not been hopeful about a breakthrough, but now it seemed she had underestimated the depth of Rosewood College’s resources.

Excellent, time to eat!

“This, this is all my Arcane Force!”

The Golden Flame Dragon watched Daphne’s aura rising, feeling a painful twinge in its heart.

There are seven stages to the Trial of Azure Dragon, specifically the trials of Heart, Body, Skill, Understanding, Spirit, Rhythm, and Integration.

The Integration Trial led by the Cold Water Leopard had blocked many strong contenders; if nothing unexpected happened, he should be able to meet David Jones again in the last stage.
