Chapter 911 - 905: The Name of the End Abyss
Chapter 911: Chapter 905: The Name of the End Abyss
Looking at the evident cracks appearing on the dragon egg, Daphne’s face lit up with joy, and she squeezed out a few more drops of dragon blood to drip onto the eggshell for it to absorb.
“Be careful with that.”
David Jones mindfully reminded Daphne, and then extended his right palm to touch the dragon egg. While feeling the breath of life from inside the eggshell, he released an overwhelming dragon-wielding force.
“Crack!”
As the dragon-wielding force continued to pour in, more and more cracks appeared on the eggshell until finally a huge hole burst open.
The next instant, a ferocious dragon head emerged through the hole, resembling a blood-red hill, revealing gem-like pupils ablaze like flames and eight tender thorny dragon horns.
...
“Mee?” (Mother?)
It gazed curiously at Daphne and then turned its head to look at David Jones.
“Whoo?” (Father?)
Hearing the familiar sound from before, David Jones couldn’t help but glance at Daphne.
Well, Daphne’s pet phrase had actually been passed on to the End Fledgling Dragon.
And there was something off about the name given to the End Fledgling Dragon.
He was just a Trainer, since when had he become the father of an End Fledgling Dragon?
“Mee!” (You can do it!)
Seeing the fire dragon fledgling suddenly stop its hatching movements, Daphne quickly began to enthusiastically cheer it on.
“Crack!”
Inspired by Daphne, several more cracks formed on the surface of the dragon egg, revealing a fiery red dragon claw exuding a searing heat, with six subtly sharp and formidable blades as if to melt gold and shatter stone.
“Zzzt.”
This dragon claw tore forcefully, ripping the entire eggshell apart and exposing the robust limbs and the iconic silver dragon scales on its abdomen.
As for its back and the end of its tail, they were covered with a raging flame, occasionally bursting with a searing spark or two.
“Whoo.” (Mother.)
The End Fledgling Dragon took a couple of steps forward to embrace Daphne but accidentally fell to the ground.
“Roar.” (Such tiny wings.)
The Gluttonous Beast curiously glanced at the End Fledgling Dragon’s back, where there was a pair of dark red wings tightly pressed against the dragon scales.
“Mee.” (It’s just been born, it’s normal for them to be small.)
Daphne protectively reasoned.
“Eee.” (Indeed, a bit small.)
Rainbow seriously scrutinized the End Fledgling Dragon.
Perhaps because of the presence of the Power of Annihilation, or due to the innate hostility between ice and fire, upon noticing Rainbow’s approach, the End Fledgling Dragon couldn’t help but hide behind Daphne.
“Alright, don’t crowd around so much. You might scare the little one.”
David Jones reminded all the pets to keep their distance, then activated his Golden Eyes of Flame to check the information of the End Fledgling Dragon.
“Pet Name”: Dragon Emperor of Doom (Variant)
“Pet Type”: Fire
“Species Level”: Legend Emperor (Ultimate)
“Grade”: Fresh Level X
“Species Skill”: Beginning of Doom, End of Doom, Doomsday Staining Blood, Decem Dying…
“Normal Arcane Force Value”: Twenty thousand
“Pet Profile”: A fledgling dragon from the Endless Death Sea that miraculously survived. Its very existence represents a miracle, and it could even be said to be an unprecedented Emperor of the End Dragon Race!
Note: The Dragon Emperor of Doom can quickly grow through its “Species Skill” of Doomsday Staining Blood, becoming an Eighth Order Quasi-God in an incredibly short time. However, frequent use of Doomsday Staining Blood can also diminish the bloodline potential of the Dragon Emperor of Doom, greatly increasing the difficulty of breaking through to the Class IX Immortal.
After seeing the normal arcane force value of the End Fledgling Dragon, David Jones was taken aback for a moment.
My goodness!
By the standards of the normal arcane force values published by the Federation of Trainer Guild, the normal arcane force value for a Fresh Emperor species fluctuates between three thousand and five thousand.
Yet the normal arcane force value of the End Fledgling Dragon was twenty thousand, far exceeding the ten thousand upper limit of normal arcane force value for an average Class I Emperor species.
No wonder it could become one of the top ten Ultimate Fire Emperors with such strength right from birth.
“Whine.” (I’m hungry.)
The End Fledgling Dragon looked pitifully at David Jones.
“A Giant Dragon hatchling that devours its eggshell after hatching can achieve the best growth and make its soft Dragon Scales quickly harden,” David picked up a piece of eggshell from the ground and brought it to the mouth of the End Fledgling Dragon.
“Whine?”
The dragon hatchling cocked its head, giving an experimental open-mouthed try.
“Crunch crunch.”
The dragon hatchling’s eyes brightened, and it hurriedly sped up the chewing, even its tail swinging happily behind it.
“Meow!” (If it tastes good, eat more!)
Daphne, like a mother hen, stuffed all the eggshell fragments on the ground into the mouth of the dragon hatchling.
Just then, the dragon hatchling stiffened mid-action, and its chewing mouth came to a halt as well.
“Hum!”
With a flash of an advancement light, the body of the End Fledgling Dragon grew visibly larger in a blink, its strength leaping from Fresh Level X to a Class I high-level in one go.
“This dragon egg, charged with thousands of years of Arcane Force, really is extraordinary,” David revealed a touch of surprise in his eyes.
You must know that the higher the Species Level of magical creatures, the longer the Fresh period they need to go through.
As one of the ten Ultimate Emperor flame types, the Dragon of the End would normally have a Fresh period of hundreds of years, and David had already braced himself for a long wait.
Unexpectedly, the effect of the eggshell fragments was so astonishing that it could help the End Fledgling Dragon get through the most vulnerable Fresh period in one fell swoop.
“Chirp!” (Some dragon’s cheating!)
Lolo couldn’t help but comment.
“A little cheat isn’t really cheating.”
David smiled faintly and collected all the remaining eggshell fragments.
Feeling the constant gaze of fiery eyes on him, David turned his head helplessly to look at the Gluttonous Beast.
“You wouldn’t want to try a bite of the kid’s food for saltiness, would you?”
“Roar?” (Can I?)
The Gluttonous Beast widened its dragon eyes.
“Of course not.”
David placed the eggshells into the Star Ring, then scooped up the scalding End Fledgling Dragon in his arms.
“Old rules, everyone come up with a new name for the newbie,” David looked toward the group of pets.
“Chirp.” (Little Red.)
Goldy was the first to raise a paw and suggest, only to be unanimously despised by Rainbow and the others.
“Yip.” (That’s too common.)
Hearing this overused name, Rainbow quickly shook its head.
“Yip.” (How about calling it Endflame?)
“Meow.” (Endjeannie.)
“Chirp.” (Red Lolo.)
“…”
As they spoke, the six pets looked at each other with serious expressions, neither willing to give in, obviously all believing their chosen names were the best.
Listening to one outrageous name after another, David silently facepalmed.
He should have known better than to count on Rainbow and the others for their naming skills, but he still wanted to take the End Fledgling Dragon’s opinion into consideration.
“Whine.” (Any is fine.)
The dragon hatchling squinted its eyes happily, and its fierce dragon head assumed an unexpectedly naive and cute expression.
“If any are fine, then let’s draw lots,” David sighed.
He wrote down all the names that he and Rainbow and the others had mentioned on slips of paper, then crumpled them up and mixed them together.
“Begin.”
No sooner had David spoken than the dragon hatchling grabbed for the farthest slip of paper, then carefully spread it open—the large characters “End Abyss” were written on it.
What do you think?
