"Surprise", a shout came as I entered my home.

I was surprised to see who spoke. It was my siblings and my parents, all of them.

All of my family is here and I have no idea about this. Oh, it’s a surprise, and they were very good at keeping it a secret. Of course, me being away at the academy helped them keep this as a secret.

"How, when?" I spoke out in a breaking tone.

Well, though I never expected to be a surprise appearance from everyone, I wasn’t that surprised. To say the truth, as my INT started to increase in an abnormal fashion, my emotions too became abnormal and I had to fake a few times.

In those novels, they show that higher attributes would make life easy but that’s not always true.

"Hahaha, we have been preparing for this for months. Of all people, I thought that your mother may not come due to her duties", my father spoke.

"Yeah, even if we are busy, we can’t miss days such as this", my sister spoke.

"Yeah", others nodded as well.

I smiled, "It’s good that you are all here. It has been years since we had been together. Let’s celebrate".

First, I went to my room to freshen up before reappearing in the dining hall.

It was almost noon, so the lunch became a celebratory feast for my successful graduation and also becoming the top student of the year.

It’s not an easy feat to become the top student. Except for Elder Sister, none of my siblings even made the top five when they attended the academy.

You may think that you are a genius of the family but when you see the geniuses that come to the academy, only then you would see how inferior you are.

Even if you are considered a genius, with how vast the population is in the kingdom, one would be able to meet a lot of geniuses.

Not everyone may not be at the top of all but they would be much better in certain aspects when compared to others.

Yes, the academy may have examined our knowledge of theory and combat but there are other aspects where others can easily overcome me.

Moreover, I stand at the top when it was just comparing among the students from the same year not the year before or after. Maybe there is someone who is better than me.

The reason the exam was easy for me was because it was.

With high INT, I can easily remember anything that I read. Sure, I would sometimes misplace but the knowledge would still be there as long as I can find that particular knowledge I need.

Reading is important but reading more than you can understand or remember is not good.

I have too much knowledge and too much INT but I can’t properly control my power. My INT is way beyond what my brain can handle. I should improve my physical attributes quickly to remedy that.

Anyway, we had a celebratory feast at lunch. A lot of dishes were prepared. It’s not like we can meet as we like. My parents and siblings have their duties to attend. So, they can’t always be available and so we made the best of this union as we may never know when we would all meet again, possibly when one of my siblings gets married.

Soon, I would too be planning to tour the world and learn about it as much as possible. So, meeting them again would not be for years.

So, I intended to enjoy their stay as much as possible. It may be years before we would meet again like this.

After the lunch, I returned to my room.

I enjoyed the lunch, to say the least. We all spoke about how we were doing and our plans for the future.

Since I graduated just now, most of the concentration has been on my future plans. I told them that I intended to travel and learn new things.

Though my mother objected at first, she accepted that I was not a child anymore. I am someone who graduated from the Royal Academy in top place. All these years I grew up in their protection but it’s time to fly using my wings without any sort of protection.

They can’t be everywhere and I have to be able to protect myself. It’s the best way to grow. Moreover, I spent a few months in the wild before the academy even started. So they shouldn’t be afraid of the dangers that I would face in the wild.

That adventure was only in the vicinity of the kingdom and home territory. So, though they were worried, they accepted that but now I intend to travel to other kingdoms and empires.

If you ask someone what’s dangerous to humans in this world, many would say either the demons or the monsters out in the wild but that is not the right answer.

Only the intelligent or experienced would say otherwise.

The greatest danger to human life is other humans.

Yes, they are the greatest threat that humans have to face, every day.

Fighting monsters is simple. When they face each other, they would try to kill each other and if the other is powerful, then one would try to escape. Even with demons, it’s more or the same but with humans it’s more than that.

As a human, we would instinctively trust other humans.

Yeah, for us humans, we place ourselves first and then the family. After that, the kingdom or empire we belong. When facing monsters or other races, we would trust other humans. It’s as simple as that.
