Chapter 134: Jealousy
Chapter 134: Chapter 134: Jealousy
“Why are you still standing there? Get lost.”
Several subordinates hastily bowed, “Yes, yes.”
They all turned to leave when Lu Jing suddenly called out again.
“Wait.”
The subordinates turned back, foreheads beading with sweat, “Second Master, do you have any other orders?”
Lu Jing lifted his gaze, “Bring Liu Cheng over here.”
“Yes.” Although they did not understand why the Second Master wanted the museum manager to come over, they immediately went to carry out the order.
After everyone had left, Lu Jing still had an unchecked ferocity on his face, a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth as he slowly turned his head, squinting toward the long window where the girl had just appeared.
…
Ah Da walked a distance and suddenly realized why she found the man in the pavilion familiar—he resembled the strange little boy on Lingcheng Mountain, not just in looks, but the curve of his smile was nearly identical as well.
Could these two… be father and son?
Ah Da furrowed her brows, clutching her chest, feeling as if she was cursed. When he had greeted her earlier, he startled her out of nowhere, and his gaze was also odd.
Better go find Qin Yu quickly.
Ah Da pressed down the unsettling feeling in her heart and quickened her pace. As she turned a corner and saw Qin Yu’s figure, the smile on her face just started to form before it faded again—because there was more than just Qin Yu.
Standing in front of Qin Yu was a woman with a smooth profile, tall and slender, with brown curly hair, and long, jade-like legs beneath a white mini-skirt, slim and straight.
Her entire outfit highlighted a beauty marked by elegance.
Ah Da’s steps involuntarily came to a halt, and she stood still.
Qin Yu looked as he always did and said something, causing the beautiful woman to cover her mouth with a light laugh.
Seeing them like this, a wave of unease rose in Ah Da’s heart as if something was constricting her, very uncomfortable, deep acidity and panic…
Panic…
Was she afraid that Qin Yu might also be fond of someone else?
Her mind buzzed, and her thoughts halted completely in that moment. Ah Da stood with her mouth slightly open, unable to utter a sound.
Qin Yu had just finished speaking when he saw the young girl standing in the distance with reddened eyes, as if her soul had been siphoned away. Noticing her abnormality, he furrowed his brow and strode towards her.
“Why have you come here?”
Her hand was pulled up, and Ah Da came back to her senses, staring blankly at the man in front of her. She bit her lip and shook her head.
Qin Yu couldn’t stand to see her like this. His fingers lifted her chin as his handsome face grew slightly cold, “Speak.”
Ah Da’s eyes reddened further, and when she spoke, the hurt was unmistakable, “What do you want me to say?”
Qin Yu stiffened.
The woman in the white dress walked up from behind Qin Yu, her face shaped like a melon seed, lips painted in a bold red as hot as fire, beautiful and vibrant, her beauty boldly apparent.
“So, this is your girlfriend? You have good taste. I thought you didn’t like women before.”
Didn’t like women?!
Ah Da, hearing this reference, suddenly looked up, her eyes wide open in shock.
The woman in the white dress seemed to catch onto Ah Da’s internal thoughts, her red lips curling into a smile, she teased Qin Yu, “Your girlfriend seems to have misunderstood. Aren’t you going to explain?”
Ah Da then turned to look at Qin Yu, who lowered his gaze, his fingers, calloused with a thin layer, brushing past the corner of her eye.
“She’s Xiao Yuyun’s daughter.”
Xiao Yuyun? She’s the daughter of the Aunt Xiao I met before? And a relative of Qin Yu!
The young girl, surprised, her rosy lips parted slightly, revealing several adorable white teeth.
When he realized she was jealous, Qin Yu’s lips curved up ever so slightly, the sulking caused by Xiao Yuyun immediately dissipating, his mood becoming markedly cheerful.
When Xiao Xueyan saw a doting smile appear on Qin Yu’s face, she couldn’t believe it; as his cousin, she was truly shocked. Although her relationship with Qin Yu wasn’t all that close, they had known each other since they were children.
Without any exaggeration, it was the first time she had seen such a normal expression on his face. Xiao Xueyan admitted she had always thought of Qin Yu as a cold, emotionless, highly intelligent “robot” who was serious about his career.
After all, who could be unlike him, naturally giften? Excelling in studies, dominating the top of the rankings year after year, blessed with unearthly good looks—the list of girls who liked him since their childhood was countless. Not to mention his competence, he had the massive Qin family firmly under his control.
Even such a godlike figure has his days of submission, Xiao Xueyan suddenly thought the idea of Mars colliding with Earth was not completely impossible.
Xiao Xueyan suddenly felt a deep respect for the young girl who could knock Qin Yu off his pedestal. She was too impressive.
Ah Da’s ears turned bright red from embarrassment as she was about to greet Qin Yu’s cousin, but the other party beat her to it, her eyes even showing fervor and excitement.
“Hello, I am Xiao Xueyan.”
“Hello, Cousin Xiao, my name is Su Qingdai, you can call me Ah Da,” replied Ah Da with a look of apology, due to the earlier misunderstanding.
The young girl gave a soft smile, and Xiao Xueyan felt her bones turn to mush. She had always had a preference for cute girls like this, soft, sweet, and adorable.
Unexpectedly, Qin Yu, despite being a block of ice, had the same aesthetic as her – truly a miracle.
“Ah Da, can I add your contact information?”
Xiao Xueyan took out her phone, Ah Da nodded, and also took out her phone. They exchanged WeChat contacts.
“I have some other matters to attend to, so I won’t disturb your museum visit. Ah Da, when I have time, I’ll take you out to have fun.”
Xiao Xueyan waggled her phone, winked at Ah Da, and blew a kiss with her fingers pressed against her red lips.
Ah Da didn’t know how to respond, the other’s string of enthusiastic actions catching her off guard until she watched her gracefully leave in high heels, only then feeling the reality of the moment.
The memory of her cousin winking and kissing her fingers surged in her mind, leaving Ah Da somewhat dazed.
“Do you think she’s pretty?”
A voice came from beside her. Instinctively, Ah Da replied, “Pretty…”
No sooner had the words left her mouth than a cold snort crashed down. Ah Da looked up and, sure enough, collided with the icy black pupils of Qin Yu.
“My cousin is pretty, and you’re pretty too.”
The young girl, in an attempt to please, grasped his hand. Her fingers weaved into his palm, lightly hooking on. There was a faint smile on her pale, snow-like face, radiant and translucent, her eyes clear as azure waves, sweet as a soft, chewy piece of cotton candy.
It would soften anyone’s heart at a glance.
Qin Yu sighed softly, his hand cradling the back of her head, as he chuckled lowly, “Lying little devil, did you drop your ‘pearls’ again?”
Ah Da, blushing, shook her head quickly and hurriedly changed the subject, “Let’s hurry and go see Little Pink Bottle and Jade Pot.”
“There’s no rush,” Qin Yu said, gazing into her eyes, pinning her down, seemingly not intending to let go, “First, tell me, your eyes just now, why were they as red as a rabbit’s? What were you thinking?”
Such a good opportunity was not to be missed by Qin Yu. Just now when Xiao Xueyan had mentioned “girlfriend,” Ah Da had not objected.
“I…” Ah Da thought back to when she saw him talking with his cousin, the sourness and disarray in her heart, a stifling sensation in her chest, something indistinguishable and uncomfortable.
Qin Yu didn’t rush her, waiting for her to come clean. He knew the young girl’s nature well; just a little pressure and she would face her own feelings head-on. The opportunity was perfect, despicable as it might be.
To achieve his goals was all that mattered.
Indeed, the young girl nestled into his arms, her slender, fair arms wrapping around his waist, her head buried in his chest.
“I don’t want you to like someone else.”
What do you think?
