Chapter 438 438:The End Of An Era
Evan lifted his hand—and Walter's body shot into the air.
Then—
BOOM!
Walter slammed into the ground.
Then again.
Evan slammed him into the ground.
CRACK!
He lifted him again—
And slammed him down.
Over and over.
Like a ragdoll caught in an unrelenting storm.
Walter's body twisted and contorted, bones snapping with sickening cracks. His roars of pain filled the battlefield, but Evan didn't stop. His expression remained frozen in icy calm, his control unwavering.

And again.
Each impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield, the very earth splitting apart beneath the force.
Evan raised his hand, his fingers slowly curling into a tight fist.
Walter's body trembled. No matter how much he tried to move, to fight back, an unseen force coiled around him, pressing inward. His breath hitched as an invisible pressure clamped down, squeezing him from all sides.
"What… is this?" Walter gasped, his eyes widening in shock.
The force intensified. His bones groaned under the strain, and a sickening crack echoed as his ribcage compressed.
"Stop—!" Walter tried to roar, but his voice came out strangled.
His limbs twisted unnaturally. He thrashed around, his muscles pulsating, but no matter how much power he tried to summon, not a single part of his body seemed to respond. The pressure only grew stronger.
Then—
SNAP!
A strangled cry tore from Walter's throat as his arm twisted backwards at an impossible angle. His bones fractured under the crushing weight.
He couldn't believe it. His body, his powerful, nearly indestructible body, was slowly breaking apart.
He tried to assist the force, to move with it instead of against it, thinking that it would ease the pain, but that only made it worse. His body began caving in on itself; veins bulged under his skin, and his organs twisted unnaturally. The crushing weight intensified, curling him into himself.
CRACK. SNAP. CRUNCH.
The sounds of his breaking body echoed across the battlefield. The few surviving Xenomorphs flinched, their expressions frozen in terror.
Walter tried to scream, but the force crushed his lungs, forcing every last bit of air from his body. His chest caved inward. His bones shattered like brittle glass.
Blood leaked from his nose and mouth; his once-commanding presence was now reduced to a crumpled, broken figure.
And then—
Walter felt it.
The crushing force was as if a suffocating grip had tightened around him. His body compressed, bones snapping like twigs under the immense pressure. His organs twisted, and then his veins ruptured—
BOOM!
Walter's body exploded.
A gruesome eruption of flesh and blood burst into the air, fragments of his form scattering like a grotesque rainfall. The explosion sent shockwaves that rippled across the battlefield, but none of it touched Evan. A shimmering shield surrounded him, keeping the carnage at bay.
For a long moment, silence fell.
Then…
The remaining Xenomorphs stood frozen, weapons trembling in their hands. Their leader, one of the strongest among them, had been utterly annihilated.
The Xenomorphs dropped their weapons in horror under Evan's gaze.
Suri let out a shaky breath, relief flickering in her eyes before exhaustion overtook her. She collapsed onto the floor, heaving deeply, her body trembling from the battle.
Evan turned to the surviving Xenomorphs; his voice was cold and commanding.
"Xenomorphs, your leader is dead. Surrender, and you will receive my mercy. Resist—" his gaze darkened, "and you will suffer my wrath."
The surviving Xenomorphs hesitated, exchanging uncertain glances.
Then, one among them dared to speak.
"If we surrender… will we be imprisoned? Tortured?"
Evan's eyes bore into them.
"No," he stated firmly. "You will be monitored but not locked away. You will have a place to stay. You will be treated well."
The Xenomorphs looked at one another.
Then, one by one, they dropped their weapons.
"We accept."
Evan let out a slow breath.
"It's over," he muttered, his gaze shifting across the battlefield, then up toward the sky.
"It's over," he muttered.

In a secured room, far from the battlefield, President Malcolm of USL sat in stunned silence.
The entire battle had been broadcast live. Every moment of the clash of forces, Walter's gruesome death, and the Xenomorphs' surrender had played out before his very eyes.
Around him stood a group of Evan's soldiers. Malcolm had been imprisoned, stripped of his authority, and reduced to nothing more than a spectator.
His hands clenched into fists.
His breath came in short, sharp bursts. His mind reeled.
"This… This can't be real…" Malcolm muttered, his voice barely above a whisper. His eyes were wide, filled with disbelief.
Walter, the leader of an alien force, being stronger than anything Earth had ever known, had been crushed like an insect.
But that wasn't the most shocking thing.
"He… He really is an alien," Malcolm murmured. His fingers dug into the armrests of his chair. "I expected that, but… having an entire group of them here…?"
From records, he knew that Walter had a connection with aliens, but how far the connection was, how he connected to them and how things went? He had no idea.
Beside him, one of Evan's men smirked.
"If not for our Master, the world would've already been taken over," the soldier said.
Malcolm's throat felt dry. The destructive battle had shaken him to his core. The power on display… the sheer dominance Evan had shown…
"This is too much…" he muttered.
"This is impossible."
"How could it be so easy for them to conquer the world?"
The soldier beside him chuckled. "You still don't understand, do you?"
Malcolm turned to him, his eyes still filled with lingering defiance.
The soldier continued, his tone matter-of-fact. "You were already playing into their hands, Mr. President. You handed control of the planet over to an outsider. It was our Master who took it back."
The words sent a chill down Malcolm's spine.
The truth settled in his mind, twisting everything he had believed in.
Evan had done what no one else could.
For a brief, fleeting moment, Malcolm thought…
Maybe Evan defeating Walter wasn't a bad thing.
Maybe… just maybe…
And perhaps, it was for the best and with this, Earth could finally begin its journey out into the cosmos.
What do you think?
