The Tycoon's Odyssey

Chapter 441 441: 441

The week had been chaotic. Aurora's scan had revealed an alarming number of xenomorphs hidden in plain sight, seamlessly blending into human society. Some lived peaceful lives, unaware of their own alien origins, while others had sinister intentions.

Under Evan's orders, Mac and his team swept the city, identifying and capturing those suspected of being xenomorphs.

_____

In a dimly lit alley behind a club in the heart of the city.

Mac and his team walked through the narrow alley behind Velvet Desire, a well-known nightclub. The air around reeked of alcohol and cigarette smoke, and neon lights flickered over the wet pavement. A woman in a red dress leaned against the wall, her sharp eyes scanning for customers.

Mac signaled his men, and they approached her cautiously.

Mac asked. "Lena, right?"

The woman's expression remained indifferent. "Depends on who's asking."

Mac dropped all his pretense and spoke flatly, "We know what you are. Come quietly, and no one gets hurt."

Lena's lips curled into a smirk. "What I am? I think you got the wrong girl, sweetheart."

Before anyone could react, her arms elongated unnaturally, and her fingers morphed into razor-sharp claws. She lunged, slashing at one of Mac's men, slashing his vest. The soldier stumbled back, his vest torn, but his body unharmed.

Mac cursed. "Damn it, I knew she'd resist! Take her down!"

The team opened fire with specialized stun rounds. Lena twisted and dodged with inhuman agility, leaping onto a dumpster. Her disguise melted away, revealing her bluish skin and black, soulless eyes.

She was fast—too fast.

Before she could escape, Mac didn't hesitate and pulled out a high-voltage taser and shot her in mid-air. As the prongs hit her and electricity coursed through her body, she screamed before being sent crashing to the ground.

The team wasted no time, moving in quickly to cuff her with reinforced restraints.

Mac gave a sharp nod. "Bag her and move to the next target."

The soldiers dragged Lena into a secure transport van as she growled under her breath.

_____

A government building, top floor.

Joe and his team had to be careful with this one. Their target, Major Reynolds, was a respected officer, but Aurora's scan confirmed that he was a xenomorph.

Joe and three soldiers entered his office. Reynolds, tall with graying hair, looked up from his paperwork.

With a polite smile, Reynolds asked. "Gentlemen, what can I do for you?"

Joe didn't waste time. "We need you to come with us, sir. Now."

Reynolds leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. "And why would I do that?"

Joe met his gaze, "Because we know what you are."

A tense silence filled the room. Then, Reynolds exhaled slowly. "I see."

He stood up, straightening his uniform. "I won't resist, but understand this—I have never harmed anyone. If you take me, the people under me will ask questions."

Joe gave a small nod. "That's not my problem."

As Reynolds stepped forward, one of the soldiers hesitated. "Sir, if you're really one of them, then why didn't you ever attack anyone?"

Reynolds gave a small, bitter smile. "Not all of us are monsters."

With that, he extended his wrists, allowing Joe to cuff him. Unlike Lena, he didn't resist. The team escorted him out of the building, ignoring the confused stares from fellow officers.

_____

A small convenience store on the outskirts of the city.

The store looked ordinary. Shelves stocked with snacks, a refrigerator humming in the back, and an old man behind the counter. But Aurora had detected a xenomorph here.

Another batch of the team entered the shop. The old man, Mr. Davis, greeted them with a polite nod. "Welcome. What can I get you, boys?"

The soldiers glanced around, then locked eyes with him. "We know what you are, Davis."

The man's friendly expression didn't waver. "Is that so?"

Then, with unnatural speed, he grabbed a knife from under the counter and flung it at Mac. Mac dodged just in time as the blade embedded itself into the wall.

"Damn it! Take cover!"

Davis's body rippled, his face distorting as he transformed. His arms stretched unnaturally, and his fingernails turned into razor-sharp talons.

The team opened fire, but he moved with unnatural agility, knocking over shelves to block their shots. One soldier got too close, and Davis slashed across his arm, drawing blood.

The soldier growled and pulled out his shock baton. "Enough!"

He lunged, smashing the baton against Davis's side. The xenomorph screeched as electricity coursed through him, sending him crashing into the counter. Before he could recover, the team tackled him, pinning him to the ground.

"You should've stayed quiet, old man."

They then bound his limbs and injected a temporary suppressant to keep him from shifting again.

_____

A warehouse in an industrial district.

The last group wasn't hiding. They were criminals—using their xenomorph abilities to rob and kill.

One of Evan's squad stormed the warehouse, finding four figures standing in the middle of dividing stolen goods. The moment the thieves noticed the armed team, they didn't hesitate.

The first one lunged, his arms morphing into long, whip-like tendrils. A soldier ducked just in time and rolled away.

The second rushed toward Roy, but he dodged and drove his knee into the xenomorph's stomach, following up with a powerful punch to the jaw. The creature snarled, spitting blood before its fingers transformed into sharp spikes.

Mac blocked with his arm guard and countered with a shock round to the chest. The thief convulsed from the high jolt of electricity before collapsing.

Meanwhile, the third one tried to escape—only to be shot in the leg by a sniper positioned outside. He went down, screeching.

The fourth, the apparent leader, growled. "You think capturing us will change anything?"

Roy aimed his gun. "I think stopping you will."

Before the leader could attack, Mac fired. The bullet, infused with a paralyzing agent, hit his target square in the chest. The xenomorph stumbled, growled, and then collapsed.

The team secured the rest, loading them onto a transport truck.

Roy shouted, "That's enough for tonight. Let's get them out of here."

_____

Evan's raids continued across the country. Each capture sent ripples through society. Some humans were terrified, others in denial. The world had changed overnight.

The presence of xenomorphs, hidden for so long, was now out in the open as news leakage erupted one after another, but unlike other times, Aurora didn't delete the news. Instead, she subtly guided them, spreading them out under controller guidance, making sure that they reached exactly where they needed to go.
