Chapter 2: Testing the System
Jake didn’t believe in miracles. But after the glowing interface disappeared, leaving only a faint hum in the air, he knew one thing: he had to test it.
He reached into his pocket and counted his last bit of cash—$100.
“...Alright. Let’s see if this thing is real.”
He pulled out his phone and opened a stock trading app he hadn't touched in months. Most people spent years studying the stock market to predict trends. But Jake now had the system.
A new notification popped up on his screen.
Ding! Opportunity detected!
System recommends investing in Horizon Tech (HTC). Current price: $1 per share.
Projected return: 100x in 24 hours.
Jake’s pulse quickened. A hundred times return? That meant if this worked, his $100 would turn into $10,000 overnight.
His hand hovered over the buy button. What if this was some cruel joke? What if he just wasted the last bit of money he had left? He shook his head. No. If I don't take risks, I'll never escape this life.
Taking a deep breath, he tapped “Buy 100 shares.”
A confirmation message appeared.
Purchase successful. 100 shares of HTC acquired.
Jake exhaled slowly. It was done.
Now… all he had to do was wait.
He spent the next few hours pacing his tiny apartment, refreshing the stock chart every few minutes. The price wasn’t moving much—just small fluctuations up and down. Nothing unusual.
As midnight approached, he forced himself to lie down. His heart was still racing, but exhaustion finally took over. He shut his eyes, drifting into a restless sleep filled with dreams of wealth, power, and a future beyond his wildest imagination.
The next morning, he woke up to the sound of his phone vibrating. His eyes shot open, and he grabbed it, instantly awake.
Ding! Your investment in HTC has increased 100x!
Current balance: $10,000.
Jake bolted upright in bed. His breathing was ragged as he stared at the screen. It worked.
It actually worked.
His phone trembled in his hands as he checked his bank account balance. The money was there. Real money.
Jake let out a shaky laugh. His fingers ran through his hair as he exhaled, still unable to fully believe it.
He had just turned $100 into $10,000 in one night.
And this was just the beginning.
What do you think?
