Chapter 702: [702] Kizmal(14).

It was certainly no easy task to scale a giant the size of a mountain, Even awakened, the powerful ones could barely climb a mountain in an instant, much less a giant the size of one. Alexander was pretty sure Kizmal was bigger than even Everest.

He had never seen the mountain, only in pictures before it had turned into a land filled with monsters, but he had heard it was the tallest mountain on Earth... While he was unaware of the height of this giant, he was certain he was big. Bigger than the pictures of Everest, at the very least.

He didn't want to go to extreme lengths in order to figure out the correct measurement, however, he was pretty happy he was relatively fine climbing the savage giant.@@novelbin@@

First and foremost, his bloodline gave him unparalleled affinity to the element of electricity, he was fairly safe from the field of electricity surrounding the body of the fragment of Kizmal.

However, if his affinity failed to protect him, he still had the element of [Null]. An aura of gray was always covering his body, as a precaution, after all, if Kizmal finally noticed the ant climbing up his body... things would go awry pretty quickly.

He may not have as much mana as Alan, but he had a fairly good reserve, if it ran out, he also had potions to help him. Unlike the others, he could drink a potion pretty easily. He was relatively safe for now, but all of that was about to chin.

Alexander was close to the face of the fragment, in fact, he was currently on his neck. He had tried to cut its throat, but his attacks were small. His strongest skills all belonged to the element of electricity, and Festul had already warned him that they would not work.

He had to cut with his swords, but he could not cut deep. His deep cuts were not even shallow to this giant, they failed to penetrate the skin deep enough to draw blood in the area of the neck.

The skin was thick here, but the greatest hurdle was the chin above. It was like the sky had a ceiling to him. It looked like the ground from his position, but it was the chin of the giant they were currently fighting.

Beads of sweat rolled down his face, sometimes, a random spark of electricity collided with them, they were all around him, rising from the body of the giant. Alexander took a deep breath, and stabbed his swords into the chin, the base of it.

"...Huuuu..."

It was a precarious situation, and dangerous as well. Right now, if Kizmal noticed him he had little chance of escaping, furthermore, unlike the chest and neck of the giant, the chin moved a lot... Whenever Kizmal roared, whenever he turned, the change was fierce, and threatened to knock him off.

He had to cling to his life. The plan had not changed, he was going to attack Kizmal's eyes, if they were still intact by the time he reached the face. But if they were gone, he would go towards the ears, into the ear canal.

There, even if Kizmal had a formidable resistance to electrical attacks... A [Raijin] would deal devastating damage, perhaps even kill the giant. The brain was a great target, and a weakness of almost every living organism.

Whether this thing was something alive or not was another question. Alexander, a practitioner of aura, could see the life force of living beings, but this giant possessed none.

Which was surprising, because something like it would have a lot of life force, but all he saw was a sea of mana, electrical mana laced with the color black.

He was unaware as to what everybody else was doing, he had seen Edward plummet to the ground a while back, struck by a bolt of lightning, initially, he was worried, and had almost jumped to save him, but Sabrina had told him it was of no concern.

Her voice would ring in his mind, kind of like Festul's, but it lacked substance. Festul described it as low-tier telepathy.

When had she learned a skill like that? Probably during the year she spent training. Nevertheless, it was useful, and incredibly priceless in this situation where the roars of thunder had rendered their ears useless.

"Come on..."

He made his way towards the edge of the chin, as quickly as he could, while withstanding every sudden movement the fragment made. Every sudden movement. It was...torturous.

But Alexander knew the true torture had not even begun yet, he would argue he had it easier than everybody else.

Kazikato had to dodge the eviscerating beams of light, as well as multiple lightning bolts, and each time he did, it was close. They would always hit him, only slightly, but the damage was bound to accumulate. He was also avoiding Kizmal's iron grip.

The hands of the giant stirred up storms as they went towards the black dragon, threatening to clench down and pulverize him once they grabbed him. Sabrina was the closest to the storm, and was probably being besieged by relentless lightning, numbering in the hundreds. He had it easier than everybody else who was facing this damned raid boss, so he knew he had to hurry and lessen their burden.

But he was naive, he smelt something odd, something metallic... something hot and electrifying. His incredible nose picked it up in moments, and Alexander looked up, where his swords were.

His twin swords, the blades completely within the giant began to release smoke, as Alexander caught a glimpse of blue blood trickle down the holes of his tsuba, and inch closer, towards him.

"..."

Panic stayed frozen on his place, he had finally drawn the Giant's blood, but that was more a curse than a blessing right now. It was bad news... very bad.

He prayed, he prayed that the blood was not as hot as he assumed... but his prayers could not be answered amidst blood-curdling screams.
