The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Chapter 228 228: Jenny not Johnny.

"Is it a band or an orchestra? Will they be professional or amateurs?"

She asked because one would need more attention than the other. Most music schools did have orchestras but they were made up of the most talented students in the school. One didn't join simply because they were a member of the school.

Alix had planned to form a Songbird music orchestra but that was down the line. Jin Kang was already moving ten steps ahead of her at this rate.

"Both." Jin Kang told her. "If the band is good, we send them to your mother-in-law."

"Or you form Songbird music agency." The system elf countered Jin Kang's suggestion.

"I think we should start slow and observe their talents first then we can divide and form different smaller groups before creating a bigger group, especially with the orchestra." Alix went with her own opinion. The system too was moving so fast, twenty steps ahead of her.

Jin Kang nodded. Then she looked at the unknown woman and told her, "Thank you for helping Jenny, but you can stop now. Your boss has arrived."

She also looked at Alix and said, "Your personal assistant is nice."

Her words made Alix frown and she looked at the young woman with very confused eyes. Her personal assistant was male. This was a female named Jenny not Johnny. Unless, Johnny somehow had a sex change over the weekend and turned into Jenny.

Alix frowned as she looked at the visible parts of the woman, her face and breasts.

"She is female." Her system said.

The young woman came out from behind Jin Kang's desk and she bowed again, with a nervous smile.

"Follow me." Alix told her.

They walked all the way to her office and every once in a while, Alix stopped to respond to the greetings of other teachers and students. When they got to her office, she handed the nervous woman a glass of water and then sat down.

"Explain yourself." she told her.

She spoke sternly and stared at her with a serious face which would make anyone nervous.

Jenny was so nervous that when she touched the glass of water, she hit it accidentally and the water spilled on the desk. Thankfully, there were no papers or devices close to the glass.

"Don't be nervous, take a deep breath and tell me how Johnny turned into Jenny."

Jenny took a deep breath as Alix advised her to do and then she blurted out, "Wrong CV, I sent the wrong resume."

She was carrying a rather light black bag and from it, she pulled out an envelope.

"This, is my resume." She stood up abruptly and bowed. "I am so sorry, please don't fire me."

"Sit down." Alix told her.

As Jenny was sitting, Alix's phone buzzed with a message from Zhang An.

Zhang An: ["Sister, that woman has showed up here demanding to see my mother. She is causing a ruckus outside of the company."]

Alix: [What's the problem now?]

After sending that text she smiled dryly at Jenny and started flipping through her papers.

"Whose resume did you send me then?" she asked her.

"My younger brother." Jenny replied nervously.

According to the documents in hand, Jenny Li was twenty five years old. She had ZGC tile retailing and installation as her last place of work and she had been employed their as a personal assistant of the company's managing director.

"ZGC, ZGC, ZGC...." Alix mumbled. It was so familiar, so near and yet she couldn't place it.

"Zhang group construction." The system chuckled and informed her.

Right!!, her husband's company. How could she forget that?

Alix now recalled Caishen's frown when she showed him Johnny Li's resume. He had been very dissatisfied with it and encouraged her to find someone with more experience. That sly man had gone behind her back to help her even though she said she didn't need it.

She put the documents down and looked at nervous Jenny. It was now understandable why she was extremely nervous. Someone like her would not have made a silly mistake like sending the wrong resume.

"Where is your brother now?" Alix asked her. Her phone buzzed and she looked at it with her eyes but her ears were waiting for Jenny's response.

Zhang An: [Grandfather has asked father to move into the main house but he can't bring her.]

"He got a job with another company last week." She replied with a proud smile.

This was the first time she was not nervous.

"Which company?" Alix asked her as she responded to Zhang An's text. If anybody had expected Na Na to go away quietly, they were deceiving themselves. She would not go quietly into the night, she would rage against everyone and everything that tried to stop her from becoming the wealthy wife of Zhang group's only son.

Alix: [Call the police, don't waste time arguing with a crazy woman like that.]

"ZGC woods and exports, a part of the overseas branches of Zhang group." Jenny answered.

Alix put the phone down and looked at Jenny. She wondered if they were finally going to have an honest conversation.

"Does this mean that you are ready to tell me the truth? Surely, you don't think that I believe this to be a coincidence."

Jenny nodded and sighed. Then she said in a voice that was a serious and steady as the look in her eyes. "I was recruited by the secretary of the CEO to replace my brother. I have more experience, I can run your personal errands and I am a bit familiar with the inner workings of the Zhang family. It will be my pleasure to aid you in every way young madam. And more importantly, this is the better opportunity for my brother and myself."

Alix scoffed and shook her head.

"How much money did he offer you?" she asked.

"Two hundred thousand yuan a month in addition to the one hundred fifty you are offering." Jenny told her.

Alix folded her arms and asked, "Did you think you were going to get away with it, lying to me?"

"No." Jenny shook her head. "You are a smart woman and I figured that you would see right through me. I told secretary Gu that if you discover the true path through which I came here then I will open up about everything. As soon as I noticed the minor look of anger when you asked about the company my brother was now working for, I just knew."

Alix leaned forward and asked her, "And what was his response, PA Gu?"

Whether she accepted her as a personal assistant or not would depend on her response, or Gu Biming's response in this case.

Jenny looked reluctant to repeat Gu Biming's words but Alix's expectant intense gaze was not to be avoided. She bit the bullet and said, "Secretary Gu said that he does as the young master orders and I will do as the young madam orders. Everything else, the two of you would handle on your own as husband and wife."
