Chapter 628: Chapter 628: Senior, Are You Confessing to Me?

What surprised Luo Ziling even more was that after Ouyang Huihui bit his lips twice, she kissed him hard again and then turned and ran off, leaving Luo Ziling hanging there alone.

Having been taken advantage of by Ouyang Huihui to such an extent, Luo Ziling was stunned in place for quite a while, unable to snap out of it.

By the time he came to his senses, Ouyang Huihui had run off without a trace.

“Damn it, it was actually a plot,” Luo Ziling cursed as he stamped his foot angrily.

He had been forcefully kissed by her, and this woman had taken her revenge in such a way; Luo Ziling felt a desire to cry but found no tears.

Just as he was silently making his way to his dorm, his phone rang, and it was a message from Ouyang Huihui.

...

“You took advantage of me, so I had to get revenge. Now we’re even, hmph! Hmph! Hmph!” followed by several haughty emoticons.

Luo Ziling found it a bit laughable but didn’t reply to the message.

Just after he put the phone back into his pocket, the WeChat notification sounded again.

“I lost out so badly, using my first kiss to get back at you. I’m so angry, I’m going to kill you tomorrow,” followed by several bloody cleaver emoticons.

After seeing this, Luo Ziling was speechless again.

What on earth is all this!

This is too much!

Luo Ziling was aware that Ouyang Huihui dared to do this because she certainly had some special target in mind.

Luo Ziling wasn’t stupid; although he hadn’t experienced many romantic incidents, he could still come up with a rough idea upon reflection.

Today’s forceful bite on the lips made everything clearer.

Therefore, to avoid further trouble, Luo Ziling sent a message to Ouyang Huihui when he was nearly at his dorm.

“To avoid constantly getting into trouble, let’s keep our distance from each other in the future. Consider me scared of you, okay?”

After sending this message, Luo Ziling immediately logged out of WeChat, not bothering with how Ouyang Huihui would respond.

After thinking it over, he decided to register a new WeChat account.

He unlinked his previous WeChat account from his phone number and then applied for a new one.

Faced with an empty contact list, Luo Ziling instantly felt everything was refreshing.

Upon opening the “Add Friends” feature, he added Yang Qingyin’s WeChat and left a note.

Yang Qingyin’s WeChat couldn’t be added using the phone number, but Luo Ziling knew her WeChat ID.

Almost immediately, Yang Qingyin accepted the request and sent over several puzzled emoticons right away.

Luo Ziling sent a short video of himself to Yang Qingyin to prove his identity, then explained, “Senior sister, I’ve changed my WeChat account. The previous one got too many friend requests, and it was overwhelming.”

“I was wondering why another Luo Ziling popped up all of a sudden. Turns out it’s because you were harassed by too many beauties,” came Yang Qingyin’s quick reply. She added another message: “Have you returned from attending the academic class?”

“I’m back, on my way to the dorm. Where are you, senior sister?”

He didn’t wait for Yang Qingyin’s message, as she called him directly instead.

“Junior brother, where are you?” As soon as the call connected, Yang Qingyin’s gentle voice came through from the phone.

“Just arrived at the apartment building, senior sister. Where are you?”

“In the dorm, I just finished practicing calligraphy.” @@novelbin@@

“Would you like to come out for a walk?” Luo Ziling asked, stopping in his tracks, “How about we stroll by Lake Wuming?”

“It’s a bit chilly. What if I catch a cold?”

“With me, this human heater around, I guarantee you’ll be toasty. Besides, catching a cold a few times isn’t necessarily a bad thing; people who frequently catch colds definitely won’t get serious illnesses.”

“Who says that?” Yang Qingyin chided, then quickly agreed, “Alright then, I’ll come out and endure the cold with you.”

After agreeing on a place to meet, they ended the call.

Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin both knew that the safest place for their date was inside the university. Those who wanted to deal with them hardly ever tried anything within the campus. After all, causing trouble in Yan Garden would be too conspicuous. It was a place filled with top students from all over the country, the truly favored of the heavens.

When Luo Ziling had a conflict in the KTV with other students, the police became reluctant to use force as soon as they heard they were Yan University students, fearing the potential trouble.

At least Luo Ziling felt that meeting with Yang Qingyin within the university was quite suitable.

“Senior sister, I’m really sorry I originally promised to help you look at houses but had to rush off due to urgent matters,” Luo Ziling apologized as soon as they met, “I was dragged away to give lectures by Dean Wu and Director Li, and I spent some time at my mom’s place tonight, so I’ve been quite busy.”

“It’s fine,” Yang Qingyin didn’t seem to mind at all, “I’m not in a hurry anyway. We can go whenever you’re free. By the way, did you really give them a lecture today?”

“Would I lie to you?” Luo Ziling said as he took out his phone and showed her a video clip.

The clip was filmed by one of the female attendees sitting in the front row, who sent it to him after adding Luo Ziling on WeChat. Luo Ziling was grateful to this ‘auntie’-level participant for recording this video, as it showed the most passionate moment of his lecture.

After watching the video on Luo Ziling’s phone, Yang Qingyin couldn’t help but giggle, “Wow, junior brother, you’re truly a passionate youth, caring so deeply about your country and its people.”

“Senior sister, don’t make fun of me,” Luo Ziling said seriously, “This is a topic my grandfather and I often discuss, and it’s something we’re really concerned about.”

The video content Luo Ziling showed Yang Qingyin was the part where he explained why traditional medicine was stagnant and considered by many as pseudoscience. He talked about how current practitioners of traditional medicine were feasting on the accomplishments of their predecessors without doing their own research, treating past findings as immutable truths, and persisting in many errors.

“Junior brother, I’m not laughing at you. I really do think you’re being patriotic and concerned for the people,” Yang Qingyin said, stopping her laughter, “I just couldn’t help but laugh when you talked about it. Didn’t you say I look pretty when I laugh? So, I smile when I’m happy. Hehe, I didn’t know you had such grand ambitions. I never expected you would want to revitalize traditional medicine through your own efforts.”

“But, I wholeheartedly support and endorse your ideas. In the field of medicine, constant innovation is essential. How can we rely on findings from one or two thousand years ago as a textbook? With the development of the times and technology, traditional medicine must also evolve, and it must keep up with the times to stay relevant. I hope you succeed, and I will support you with all my might.”

“Really?” Luo Ziling was surprised.

“Of course, it’s true.” Yang Qingyin nodded earnestly, “The more I get to know you, the more adorable I find you. You’re very passionate. I like boys with that kind of personality!”

“Wow, senior sister, are you confessing to me?”

However, Luo Ziling’s exaggerated comment earned him an annoyed pinch from Yang Qingyin.
