Chapter 101
Honestly speaking, Svetlana Gromadine did not like this situation at all.
It all began the day she was left off the list for the Frontier Expedition. That marked the start of her seclusion training.
After completing a rather long training period, the first piece of news she heard was unpleasant—one of only four Master Seekers in the guild had died. That alone was enough to ruin her mood.
In the midst of such events, she had been hoping that her father would show his face, but that didn’t happen either, though she could still tolerate it.
Currently, the guild leader, Sullivan Evans, was absent, leaving her father to act as the guild’s representative. The guest that had just arrived was the one who had returned Grant Dexker’s remains, after all.
She might have been a bit disappointed, but she didn’t hold any grudges. She understood.
After all, the seclusion training was still carried out within the guildhouse. And with such an esteemed guest arriving, it made sense that they would be given priority.
But that was where the line was drawn.
*“If they don’t take us seriously…”*
When she first heard that their guild would join Conquerors as a sub-guild, she had felt some resentment. But that feeling faded away as she began to warm to the idea.
If there is an ending, there is always a new beginning.
Although Grant had passed, his death had at least created a connection. And she wasn’t about to let that death be meaningless.
Moreover, if they had been saved by such a great favor, Conquerors would certainly need to show their worth in return.@@novelbin@@
