Chapter 30 - 30 Hao Yi’s Reasoning
Chapter 30: Chapter 30 Hao Yi’s Reasoning
Hao Yi’s Evil Qi flashed and vanished, this was the second time he had revealed such a powerful aura in front of Li Fei.
“Do you know who did it?”
Hao Yi asked with a somber face.
Li Fei: “It was found out that it was instructed by someone from the Chen Family.”
“The Chen Family?”
Hao Yi was taken aback, “Why would they target you?”
“It’s probably because I made the Eldest Young Master of the Chen Family lose face during the graduation examination.”
Li Fei said.
“The Chen Family.”
Hao Yi narrowed his eyes and did not bring up the matter again.
He looked at Li Fei: “In the Embryo Cultivation Stage, if a Martial Artist is stimulated by some external factors, causing severe emotional fluctuations, it is possible to trigger changes in the Implant. These changes could be good or bad, no one can say for sure. As of now, it seems that you fall into this category, and moreover, the changes are developing in a positive direction.”
Li Fei recalled yesterday’s experiences, from the nervousness when first attacked to the excitement after defeating the enemies, and then the joy of reaping more than sixty units. Indeed, his emotional rollercoaster was even more intense than when he had won the championship at the graduation examination.
Upon reflection, this ambush he had suffered first turned out to be a small profit, then eliminated a hidden danger, and ultimately even advanced a step further in his Martial Arts Cultivation; it was truly a windfall.
“I’m almost inclined to thank that Chen Young Master.”
Li Fei thought to himself.
He looked at Hao Yi: “Teacher, if such stimulation occurs a few more times, could it continue to shorten the Embryo Cultivation Stage?”
Hao Yi shook his head: “This kind of emotional stimulation is most effective the first time; it won’t have much effect afterwards. And since you have already begun to stir up the Embryo, it could take up to two months, or as short as one, for you to definitely enter the Body Breaking Stage.”
Li Fei’s spirits lifted upon hearing this.
That is to say, in at most two months’ time, he would become an official Martial Artist!
“In the upcoming period, the damage the Implant does to your body will worsen, you will need to purchase some medicine to nourish your body. I’ll write you a list in a bit.”
Hao Yi said.
Li Fei nodded obediently, but he had no intention of buying such medicine.
He had the Myriad Blood Pearl, which negated the need for any nourishing medicine; no medicine had better recovery effects than the Myriad Blood Pearl!
“At least I’ll be able to save some money.”
Li Fei thought silently.
Next, the teacher and student went to the Medicine Bath Room together to begin their routine training.
After finishing the day’s training, Li Fei checked the Myriad Blood Pearl:
[Rank: 4th level 17%
Blood Soul: 18 beads +96%]
After rising to the 4th level, the Myriad Blood Pearl’s demand for energy increased further. Practicing the Heavenly Gang Dominator Body twice a day, taking Withered Fire Pills along with medicine for the Embryo Cultivation Stage, he could only accumulate around 10% more energy each day.
Today was July 24th, with only six days left until the end of this month’s test. At the current pace, there was no way for the Myriad Blood Pearl to reach the 5th level before the monthly test.
“If the Myriad Blood Pearl could ascend to the 5th level, my chances of ranking in this month’s test would be much greater. I need to figure something out.”
Li Fei contemplated.
Afterward, he bid farewell to Hao Yi and left the Martial Arts Hall at a jog.
As Li Fei sprinted out of the gate of the Martial Arts Hall, Hao Yi also entered the office building.
He didn’t return to his own office but went to another office on the same floor and pushed the door right open. @@novelbin@@
“Hao Brother?”
In the office was a well-built middle-aged man with a hint of fierceness in his brows. Seeing Hao Yi suddenly push the door open, he was somewhat surprised.
This man’s name was Tang Chuan, also a special-level lecturer at the Martial Arts Hall. Additionally, he had another identity—as a Tributor of the Chen Family.
For a family like the Chen Family, aside from cultivating their own Martial Artists, they would also seek out powerful Martial Artists from outside to become a family Tributor, giving them substantial compensation each month.
The Chen Family had once approached Hao Yi too, but after he declined, they found Tang Chuan, inviting him to become a family Tributor.
“Do you have business with me, Hao Brother?”
Tang Chuan politely inquired.
Hao Yi looked at him coldly, saying bluntly, “I’d like to spar with you.”
“Ah?”
Tang Chuan was baffled, “Why would you want to spar with me all of a sudden, Hao Brother?”
“Isn’t it very normal for Martial Artists to learn from each other?”
Hao Yi was getting impatient.
Tang Chuan’s brow furrowed.
He had heard some rumors about Hao Yi and knew the man was a formidable figure, so he had been very polite to Hao Yi. However, Hao Yi’s attitude was starting to annoy him.
Tang Chuan stood up and said seriously, “Brother Hao, if there’s any misunderstanding between us, please speak frankly.”
Hao Yi shook his head, looked directly at the other party, and said word by word,
“I’m not good at reasoning, but that doesn’t mean my logic can be ignored. When you see the Chen Family Head later, remember to pass this message to him.”
“This…”
Tang Chuan finally realized that Hao Yi’s visit was not aimed at him, but at the Chen Family!
But since he had taken money from the Chen Family and became a Tributor, he couldn’t avoid these matters.
“Fine, then I would like to experience Brother Hao’s expertise!”
Tang Chuan said with a heavy voice.
…
Changheng Street.
All the buildings on this street were large mansion houses, home to the upper echelons of Xing City.
The Chen residence was located on Changheng Street and had a history of over sixty years.
Four generations of hard work had made the Chen Family the number one noble family in Xing City.
Yet today, people from the Inspection Bureau were sent to take away several individuals from the Chen residence, an event that had not occurred for many years.
The current Family Head of the Chen Family, Chen Yujing, was sitting in his study with a displeased look on his face as he listened to the reports from his subordinates.
With the Chen Family’s methods, they easily found out what had happened the previous day:
Li Fei was attacked by the Bear Power Gang members; Li Lei led a team to sweep the Tiger Saber Gang’s territory on Liusha Street, and Inspector General Huang Weiguang personally intervened in the matter, which was followed by the Inspection Bureau sending people to the Chen residence to make arrests.
“What is that old bastard Huang Weiguang trying to achieve by making a show of power at my Chen Family’s expense at this time?” Chen Yujing pondered, flipping the jade ring around his thumb.
He didn’t believe for a second that Huang Weiguang would go to such lengths over a mere Platoon Leader’s son to the extent of offending the Chen Family. There must be an ulterior motive to his actions.
“Is he warning my Chen Family not to meddle in the upcoming election for Inspector General? Or is he seizing the opportunity to win over hearts, preparing to elevate someone he favors to the position?”
As Chen Yujing was contemplating Huang Weiguang’s intentions, another servant hurried into the study with bad news:
A Tributor of the Chen Family, Tang Chuan, had been injured!
“Who did this?!”
Now Chen Yujing was truly furious.
The Inspection Bureau taking away the Chen Family’s servants was at most a warning, but injuring a Chen Family Tributor was indeed a slap in the face!
“It was Hao Yi, a Special Instructor from the Martial Arts Hall, and he also had a message for you through Tang Tributor,” the servant said cautiously.
“Hao Yi?” Chen Yujing was taken aback.
He knew of this man; his father had made an effort to invite Hao Yi to become a Tributor for the Chen Family during his time as Family Head. However, Hao Yi had refused the offer, much to his father’s regret.
“What message did Hao Yi have Tang Chuan relay to me?” Chen Yujing asked.
The servant then relayed Hao Yi’s message:
“I’m not good at reasoning, but that doesn’t mean my logic can be ignored.”
What was Hao Yi’s logic?
You touch my student, I will surely hit back!
This was Hao Yi’s logic.
Chen Yujing’s expression grew dark and menacing:
“Go ask Tang Chuan if Hao Yi was injured, and to what extent his strength has reached.”
The servant went to carry out the order.
Soon, the servant returned:
“Master, Tang Tributor said that Hao Yi defeated him with just one move. The opponent’s Realm… might be… might be at the Tao Foundation Stage!”
Upon hearing this, Chen Yujing’s expression changed drastically, and he fell into a deep silence.
After a long while, he roared angrily,
“Go and call Chen Lixin to me!”
What do you think?
