Chapter 132: Chapter 73 Spring Breeze Pays No Heed to Yue Xilou

“I asked who sent these assassins!” Gu Changsheng said, his face in his hands in defeat.
“Don’t know.” Both elders answered in unison, munching away.
Alright, you win!
Gu Changsheng rolled his eyes at them, pondering how many people he had offended. He couldn’t remember those from before he crossed over, so only concerned himself with the few since then!
“Don’t look down on us. We’ve been out of touch with the Itinerant World for forty to fifty years now. We really don’t know which family these half-baked assassins belong to,” Thirteenth Lady Du explained as she ate.
“Mhm, mhm.” Elder Mo nodded along.
Gu Changsheng nodded, glanced outside the door, and said, “Then what about these bodies? What if they stink up my son?”
Little Meat Bun lifted his head slightly from his bowl, a radiant smile on his face, “Mom, I won’t get stinky.”
After speaking, he lowered his head and continued eating.
Uh… Gu Changsheng was at a loss for words!
“Someone’s coming!” Thirteenth Lady Du suddenly lifted her head from her bowl, a look of terror on her face.
“And it’s an acquaintance!” Elder Mo also jumped to his feet.
Exchanging a glance, they blurted out in unison, “What should we do?”
“Run!” As soon as the word was out, they leapt into action.
Gu Changsheng watched the two old people, who had just been in front of him, vanish in the blink of an eye, dumbstruck.
“Elders…” Ning Er followed a few steps after them, not willing to give up.
“Don’t you dare tell the visitor you saw us, remember this!”
A voice of caution came from the rooftop, and then silence ensued.
Gu Changsheng looked around the courtyard where no one remained but the bodies on the ground. Where is the visitor?
What kind of high and mighty person could scare off those two odd elders?
“Ning Er, do the two elders have any weaknesses?” Gu Changsheng asked, turning to Ning Er standing at the doorway.
“I don’t know. The two elders always moved in mysterious ways. I only know that they were famous in the Itinerant World a cycle of sixty years ago, nothing more.” Ning Er shook her head, “I was chosen by them when I was young to serve under the Commandery Prince.”
“Itinerant World…” Gu Changsheng murmured to herself, her face showing a mixture of expressions. Damn it, isn’t the Itinerant World meant to be only in martial arts novels? Isn’t it a legend? Why does she feel like it’s so close to her now?
“Mom, the Food-Snatching Granny and the Fighting Grandpa are so amazing, they just flew away…” Little Meat Bun said as he struggled to raise his bandaged neck and look up to the roof, full of admiration.
“The forest is big, full of all sorts of birds, and many can fly. What’s so strange about that?” It’s just internal martial arts, what’s the big deal! Gu Changsheng snorted, utterly dissatisfied with her son’s admiration for others.
Everyone: “…”
The stench of blood in the yard grew stronger, and the spread of crimson was even wider.
Gu Changsheng was indeed worried about disturbing the neighbors.
Just as Gu Changsheng was getting anxious, the yard gate suddenly swung wide open, and a refreshing fragrance wafted in, covering the smell of blood…
Gu Changsheng was startled. Who on earth were these divine beings, one after the other, that made her feel like she was living in a fantasy world?
“What evildoer dares to show up! Reveal yourself at once!” Gu Changsheng yelled towards the gate, hands on her hips.
Fine! If it’s fantasy, so be it. Let’s face it—come what may, whether it ends in a mutual downfall or complete destruction!
“Interesting…”
A low, bewitching voice replied, tinged with amusement, mockery, and a touch of interest.
Two gorgeous and scantily-clad young women gracefully stepped over the threshold, carrying a small, delicate palanquin.
The scent of fragrance hit her like a breeze…
Gu Changsheng was stunned by this display. Damn, this was some serious swagger!
“Son, pinch me. I think your mom hasn’t woken up yet.” She tugged her son’s hand, her eyes heavy with sleep.
In fact, this was all BS—she must have actually crossed over into a fantasy world, right?
Why else would the scene in front of her be so fantastical that she couldn’t bear to look directly at it?
Clearly, Gu Changsheng’s notion of ‘fantastical’ was not fantastical enough.
When Gu Changsheng saw the head that appeared as the palanquin curtain was lifted, her whole being was shaken.
How could anybody be born looking like this?
If a person like Zhou Mu was a rare sight in thousands of years, then what about this monster before her?
With a pair of watery eyes and a face so beautiful it was almost demonic, and black hair adorned with pearls and jade…
Seeing this, Gu Changsheng thought she was looking at a beauty!
A peerless beauty!
