Chapter 88: Chapter 47 My Name is Changsheng_2
No choice, had to do it myself, pinching the chin, administering the medicine, Gu Changsheng had his own technique, and he explained to Xiao Cui as he worked.
Xiao Cui listened intently with a pale face.
After administering the medicine, Gu Changsheng checked the pulse again before stepping back outside.
“Lady Changsheng, is Butcher Wang all right?” Hu Yihai asked weakly, clutching his stomach.
“The wound has been treated, but he has lost too much blood. I need to prepare saline for him. Whether he wakes up or not is now up to fate,” Gu Changsheng shook his head and turned to walk to the backyard.
The real challenge comes after the surgery; even the most successful surgeries can face postoperative complications, such as high fever, severe abdominal effusions… etc., she couldn`t be too cautious.
Thinking about the concentration of saline from his previous life, Gu Changsheng instructed Xiao Cui and Han Qiu as she walked, unable to afford any mistakes; she was confident she could concoct it, and was sure to find a substitute for the IV equipment.
“A needle, a hollow needle?” Gu Changsheng racked her brain, thinking hard. The cursed ancient times, where nothing was available, yet medical advancement had always been a process from having to lacking; she already had the advantage, knowing the principles behind all medical instruments, she could certainly find the perfect substitute.
“Lady Changsheng?” Eunuch Yuan Bao climbed down from a nearby wall, finally making an appearance; he had been waiting for half a day.
“Why are you here? I’m busy and have no time to deal with you,” Gu Changsheng glanced at him and continued pondering.@@novelbin@@
“Lady Changsheng, Yuan Bao forgot to mention something, my master is about to lead troops to Southern Fujian,” Eunuch Yuan Bao scratched his head, his expression serious.
“Oh,” Gu Changsheng replied indifferently, her mind not on his words as she walked away.
Eunuch Yuan Bao stood behind, inwardly hurt, having climbed walls and waited, all to inform her of his master’s plans, only to receive a lukewarm single-word response. And to think, his master, changing his usually reserved nature, had earnestly reminded him before sending him.
This was too unfair!
Eunuch Yuan Bao deeply felt his master had been ignored.
Having finally thought of something, Gu Changsheng decided silver tubing could work, as silver was mild and easy to forge. She quickly drew up the blueprints and gave them to Uncle Song; until the IV was ready, they would have to rely on oral administration.
No sooner had she given her instructions, Gu Changsheng, exhausted, wiped the sweat from her forehead, only to hear a ruckus coming from the front yard, accompanied by a woman’s loud shouts.
“Let that witch come out, she’s been in there too long; even if my son breathes his last, it shouldn’t be in some strange place. She better return him to us,” Old Lady Wang banged on the back door of the Medical Hall, her actions making a loud noise that was hard to ignore.
“Damn it, will this never end!” Gu Changsheng suddenly got angry, slammed the table, and charged towards the front yard.
Han Qiu couldn’t stop her in time, and could only shake his head as he followed her.
The back door of the Medical Hall opened so suddenly that Old Lady Wang, unable to stop herself, charged forward, but Gu Changsheng swiftly dodged to the side.
The crowd was shocked to see Old Lady Wang land on the ground with a “thump.”
Gu Changsheng, with Red Phoenix Eyes, sneered coldly at Old Lady Wang, who was now embraced deeply into the earth.
“Pah…” Old Lady Wang spit out the mud that had gotten into her mouth with hatred, unable to get any help to stand, she struggled up while glaring resentfully at Gu Changsheng, “You vile witch!”
“Witch? Who are you talking about?” Gu Changsheng cooly retorted.
“I’m talking about you.”
Old Lady Wang was very cooperative, and Gu Changsheng was quite satisfied.
“Since you call me a witch, then I must clarify something,” Gu Changsheng looked at Old Lady Wang, covered in mud and pitiful, then cast a glance to the onlookers peeking from inside the Medical Hall, and sharply stated, “Remember, my name is Changsheng, the essence of everlasting life and endless growth.”
“Also, as for whether I’ll meet a bad end, you don’t need to worry about that. As they say, a calamity lasts a thousand years, and even if I can’t make it a thousand, outliving you by fifty or sixty years is still quite certain.”
The crowd was utterly stunned, wasn’t she talking about herself in such a way?
“You! You!” Old Lady Wang’s face turned livid, her trembling hand pointing at Gu Changsheng, “You brazen hooligan!”
“Oh, beautiful words, Old Lady Wang, dealing with someone like you who lacks honor, talking about respecting the elderly and loving the young is mere nonsense. Being a rascal is the true way, so what are you going to do, bite me?” Gu Changsheng casually spread her hands, ready for whatever may come.
The crowd gasped in unison; apparently, Lady Changsheng was indeed not ordinary!
“You! You!” Old Lady Wang, at a loss for words, eyes fiery, didn’t know how to respond.
“What are you, what! I’ve been busting my ass inside saving your son. Who gave you the audacity to make trouble on my turf? Did you really think I was such a pushover that you could just come and harass me?” Gu Changsheng stepped forward, grabbed Old Lady Wang by the collar, “Let me tell you now, I know a bit about robbery, I know how to disregard life, so if you dare, go complain to the government office, if you don’t, then just obediently go home and gather some life-saving money for me. Offering free medical service, I treat the illness, not the life. If I don’t strip your household bare, your son won’t be walking out the gates of Gu Family Medical Hall alive!”
Gu Changsheng’s words were nothing if not shocking, the crowd watching as Old Lady Wang struggled in vain and was thrown out of the Medical Hall like a small chick.
A hush fell over the surroundings, everyone unconsciously holding their breath.
After throwing the person out, as if nothing had happened, Gu Changsheng dusted off her hands, quite boredly remarked, “Being a good person is damn hard, indeed being bad feels much better!”
The crowd was astonished…
Han Qiu silently lowered his head…
“What are you looking at, haven’t you seen the wicked prevail? ALL OF YOU GET OUT!” Gu Changsheng glanced around, stomped her foot, and harshly said.
The crowd dispersed like birds and beasts…
What do you think?
