Chapter 65: Chapter 65: The Duke’s Heir VS The Underdog Female Supporting Character (Part 5)

Gu Shengyin carried Vila out the door.

Vila was the Siamese Cat that His Royal Highness the Second Prince had given to Vila Nika.

A month had passed, and Vila’s tiny body was now covered in soft, fine white fur, which was extremely beautiful.

She was still only the size of an adult’s palm, and a pair of bright green eyes, just like Vila Nika’s, shimmered like the most dazzling gems.

The Siamese Cat, a particularly delicate animal, was the reason Gu Shengyin carried her out to the pet store to buy Slender Grass—the favorite food of Siamese Cats.

“Nika!” a girl with a few small freckles on her nose ran up to Gu Shengyin.

She was Vila Nika’s good friend, Lilith Biel, the daughter of an Earl.

Lilith had long heard that Vila Nika had acquired a rare Siamese Cat and had pestered her for a long time until she finally convinced her to bring it out for a look.

“Is this the Siamese Cat? It’s really cute!” Lilith looked at Vila with sparkling eyes.

“Yes, her name is Vila, and she’s a lovely lady,” Gu Shengyin replied.

Lilith reached out to pet her, but Vila disdainfully turned her head away.

Gu Shengyin chuckled inwardly. Siamese Cats were highly delicate creatures, usually only warming up to those they liked. Gu Shengyin had herself spent a great deal of effort to win Vila’s affection; naturally, Lilith faced rejection.

Seeing that Vila did not like her, Lilith said gloomily, “It seems Vila doesn’t like me.”

Gu Shengyin was about to comfort her when she heard her continue, “Really, this personality, she’s so much like Nika!”

Gu Shengyin: “…” She withdrew her words of comfort.

Lilith continued, “…you both have green eyes, and you’re both so cute, hahaha…”

Gu Shengyin turned around and walked away.

The two arrived at the entrance of the pet store. Upon seeing Gu Shengyin’s green eyes, the store owner hurriedly came forward: “Your Highness, may I know what you need?”

Pure green eyes were a hallmark of the White Rose Family. This was common knowledge throughout the Royal Capital.

And for this generation of the Duke of White Rose, Vila Nika was the sole heir, and anyone with discerning eyes could guess her identity.

Gu Shengyin revealed Vila who was lying in her arms, “She eats Slender Grass, it must be the freshest, most tender part.”

The owner saw Vila, and his face lit up with a smile: “So it’s a Siamese Cat, this is indeed a precious little thing. I just received fresh Slender Grass today; please sit and wait a moment, Your Highness, I’ll bring it over to you.”

Gu Shengyin and Lilith sat inside the store, with Lilith still tirelessly trying to win Vila’s favor, yet always being snubbed.

Gu Shengyin, expression unchanged, watched the person and the cat with a gleam of amusement in her eyes.

“Boss, I’ll take all the Slender Grass in your store!” a boastful voice called out.

Gu Shengyin looked up and saw a lady in a red dress, very beautiful and clearly proud, holding a Magic Wand almost as tall as herself—clearly, she was a Mage.

The girl in the red dress saw Gu Shengyin and Lilith inside the store and her expression changed: “What are you doing here?”

Before Gu Shengyin could speak, Lilith shot back, “This pet store isn’t owned by the Raymond Family, if you can come here, why can’t we?”@@novelbin@@
