Chapter 310 In the Rain with Madam
"I don't mind drinking..."
After some thought, Haruka Yuzan finally nodded her head in agreement.
Although the Island Country forbids drinking at this stage, such an order is basically meaningless at home.
Not to mention, sitting next to her was a young lady from the Chiba family.
"What about you two? Can you drink alcohol?"
Haruka Yuzan turned her gaze to the two beautiful girls beside her, one older and one younger.
Chiba Shimizu did not speak, but Haruka Yuzan shrugged her shoulders, as her glance alone spoke volumes.
If Otome was drinking, she was sure to drink, and she'd probably drink even more than her counterpart.
As for Misaki Saki...
The little one didn't speak, but raised a finger and waggled it in front of him, swaying back and forth.
"Hmm? What do you mean by that?"
"Keep drinking!"
"......"
Ignoring the bragging kid, Haruka Yuzan asked Reiko Onodera:
"Sister Reiko, do we have any alcohol at home?"
"No, we don't."
Reiko Onodera said timidly, feeling apologetic for dampening everyone's mood, making madam feel very sorry.
But that's to be expected.
Normally, only Mariko Akiyama and Rika Onodera, grandmother and granddaughter, lived in the courtyard, and they had the essentials for daily living.
As for something like alcohol... it made sense for it to be absent.
"The store is not far, I'll go buy some for you..."
Reiko Onodera said softly.
"Let's go together. The rain outside is heavy, it's good to have someone watch over you."
"That's...."
Madam originally wanted to refuse, to go by herself, but upon meeting Haruka Yuzan's gaze, she nodded in agreement.
"Well then, thank you, Haruka...."
"It was a spur-of-the-moment decision for today, we should be the ones to apologize for bothering you."
Haruka Yuzan stood up and went to the corner to get an umbrella.
The sukiyaki still needed more time to cook, and unfortunately, Miss Otome was still in a meeting.
It wouldn't be polite to disturb her with such trivial matters.
Otherwise, it might be better to send one of the bodyguards scattered around the village to run this errand.
It would save time, be worry-free, and they wouldn't get wet in the rain....
"Let's go outside..."
......
The rain outside was intense.
A curtain of water obscured the view of the two people.
As they walked out of the courtyard, the large umbrella seemed ready to collapse under the striking rainwater.
"The store is to the east, just follow me, Haruka."
The sound of the heavy rain was all that could be heard, so even the always gentle Reiko Onodera couldn't help but raise her voice.
Haruka Yuzan nodded, indicating she understood.
The two set out from the courtyard.
The muddy path was even more difficult to navigate now, with nearly every step leaving a footprint.
"I'm sorry that I should have been the one to buy it myself," Madam apologized with regret.
"No worries, Sister Reiko, we're all going to drink the alcohol together; you shouldn't have to buy it alone."
Haruka Yuzan chuckled lightly.
"But...."
Just as Reiko Onodera was about to say something more, a gust of wind carrying rain howled past.
Madam let out a cry of surprise, and the umbrella in her hand was swept away.
It was quickly carried off into the sky by the wind and disappeared from sight.
Without the protection of the umbrella for even an instant, Reiko Onodera was drenched through.
Her white, elegant long dress clung tightly to her skin, soaking wet, with the black bandeau and the inverted triangle beneath it faintly visible.
Her full curves were outlined as if they were ripe, succulent peaches.
A chill rushed over Reiko Onodera, and the pouring rain completely blocked her vision.
People walking in the rain without an umbrella often feel a lack of security.
"Haruka..."
Reiko Onodera instinctively called out the name of the boy, seeking help.
Almost at the same time, she felt a warmth envelop her, and with a stumble, she fell into the boy's embrace.
"Are you okay, Sister Reiko?"
Haruka Yuzan immediately pulled her close to him.
"No, nothing's wrong. It's just the umbrella's gone."
Reiko Onodera looked behind her and sighed helplessly.
"It's okay, we can share my umbrella," Haruka Yuzan reassured the lovely woman softly.
His arm draped over her shoulder like creamy jade, instinctively pulling her closer to his side, trying to make madam feel secure.
The elegant woman's small umbrella was gone, but he still had his own, didn't he?
And the pouring rain couldn't penetrate the umbrella.
"Okay."
Reiko Onodera nodded, her chest exposed by the now revealed bandeau was tightly squeezed.
The previous wind and rain had soaked Haruka Yuzan as well.
The two drenched people continued towards the store under one umbrella.
"Ah, it's all my fault. If only I'd thought to keep a couple bottles of sake at home."
Reiko Onodera sighed softly.
Haruka Yuzan felt a little helpless; madam was always like this, blaming herself at the first sign of trouble.
"Don't think too much about it, Sister Reiko, hold on to me tightly to avoid catching a cold."
"Okay..."
The beautiful woman nodded, her eyes flashing with shyness, but still pressed her body even closer to his.

A faint fragrance of pear blossoms enveloped Haruka Yuzan's nose.
He reached out to stroke madam's wet hair, revealing her pretty little face flushed with a touch of red.
"Sister Reiko," Haruka Yuzan softly called.
"Yes?" Reiko Onodera lifted her head.
Then, the next moment.
Her soft, ripe lips were sealed by the boy's.
Around them, there were no people, and in the downpour of the evening, a flavor named romance began to spread.
What do you think?
