Chapter 348 Here to Make Trouble

Next, Lin Tian applied his Anti-Gravity Ability under the feet of horse number six, which allowed it to float about one centimeter off the ground as it began moving toward the finish line.

His Anti-Gravity Ability wasn't just about making horses fall; it could move heavy objects, just like Telekinesis.

"Fell down, fell again." As the spectators watched the six horses falling to the ground, the bettors in the stands shouted with glee, but their enthusiasm soon plummeted.

They had fallen, but horse number six wasn't running, so they still couldn't win.

"It's running, it's running, horse number six is off!" Suddenly someone cried out, and then everyone's gaze shifted toward horse number six.

Indeed, it had started running, and though it wasn't very fast, it was still running.

Instantly, everyone grew excited.

"Haha… good run, well done."

"We won, we won, money, I'm going to be rich this time."

"Someone slap me to see if I'm dreaming."

"…"

Everyone began screaming, except for the Casino people, who looked as if they had seen a ghost when they looked at horse number six.

How could this be? Such a strong sedative had been administered that it was lucky it didn't go down, but how could it still run?

At this moment, Ma Wu was also watching everything through the screen; his face turned bewildered, then as grim as could be.

Now, the issue was not whether the horse could run or not but the fact that he was losing a lot of money, so much so that he felt like dying.

"Let's go, let's see what's happening." In a rage, he turned off the monitor, burst through the door, and headed toward the area of the Casino where Lin Tian was.

By that time, horse number six had crossed the finish line amidst the screams of the crowd, and everyone in the stands erupted into joyful shouts because they were thrilled, even more so than winning a lottery.

After all, when have you ever seen so many people winning the lottery together?

They rushed to the betting points to cash in their chips. Enjoy new chapters from My Virtual Library Empire

"Move, move…"

All the bettors crowded around the Casino's betting point, blocked solidly, fearing they might not get their turn. Suddenly, a path opened up in the crowd.

The bettors, shoved aside, were immediately annoyed and about to curse out loud but when they saw the muscular men who were pushing through, they instantly shut up.

Thinking, I've won money today, I'm happy not to quarrel with you.

These people ignored the angry glares of the bettors. After making their way through, they saw a middle-aged man in a suit coming toward them. He had a side-part in his hair, slicked with oil, shiny and giving an air of an upper-class gentleman.

However, the scar on his face, running diagonally from his left eye to the right corner of his mouth like a creeping centipede and twitching as he spoke, significantly spoiled that aura, making him look fierce and terrifying.

"Hello, my name is Ma Wu, and I am the owner of this horse racing casino," the middle-aged man said as he walked up to Lin Tian.

"Pleased to meet you," Lin Tian responded, flashing a friendly smile at Ma Wu.

"I'll get straight to the point with you, Lin Tian. I hope to cancel this round of gambling because, as you've seen, there were too many incredible things happening. Let's forget about the previous two rounds; I'll have someone refund all the chips," Ma Wu said with a smile. His words suggested a discussion, but his tone was commanding and left no room for argument.

"Oh? You're not joking, are you, Mr. Ma? After all, the winnings are rightfully ours. Isn't it a bit overbearing to cancel and take away our winnings? This is a casino, after all. Who would dare gamble here if word got out? How is this different from defaulting on a debt? Besides, a big businessman like you wouldn't care about such a small amount of money, right?" Lin Tian said with a smile, seemingly oblivious to Ma Wu's authoritative tone.

"…" Ma Wu almost choked when Lin Tian mentioned that a 'big businessman shouldn't care about the small money.' Damn small money? Aside from your one billion, the combined bets of the others reached three billion and then multiplied to forty billion. You call that small money, try taking it out and see.

"I said this matter is suspicious. The first two rounds are passable, but we must cancel this one," Ma Wu said, his voice growing ominous. Anyone who knew him could tell he was getting angry.

"What does that have to do with us? It's a problem with your casino, and since we won, you should just pay up," Lin Tian spoke without any regard for Ma Wu's feelings.

The others silently applauded him in their hearts while also cursing Ma Wu.

"Damn it! You only start claiming it's suspicious when we win. How come you never said it was suspicious when we lost? Just admit you can't afford to lose," they exclaimed.

"Fucking hell, isn't this outright fraud?"

"Son of a bitch, if I could beat you, I would have knocked the hell out of you by now," they cursed.

"…"

Not one person there was satisfied with Ma Wu, though they didn't dare say it out loud.

"So, you disagree, young Lin Tian?" Ma Wu pressed, staring at Lin Tian, the atmosphere so tense a single sound might have triggered a brawl.

"Of course I disagree," Lin Tian said, his lips curling into a smirk. "I'm having such incredible luck today; I was actually thinking about playing a few more rounds. Maybe I won't have to work ever again."

"Motherfucker, what the heck do you think you are? Mr. Ma is giving you face by talking to you. Don't be ungrateful," snapped one of Ma Wu's henchmen as he saw Lin Tian flatly refuse Ma Wu.

"Kid, believe it or not, if I want to today, you won't be able to leave this place," he threatened.

"Are you threatening me?" Lin Tian asked, face full of mockery as he looked at the henchman.

"I am threatening you, so what? What can you possibly do about it?" retorted the henchman arrogantly, openly admitting to the threat.

Ma Wu frowned slightly, disliking his henchman's foolishness. Why would one openly talk about such matters? It's better left unsaid; isn't it uncomfortable to spell it out like this?

But he just frowned and said nothing more; this was his territory. As his henchman had said, they were threatening—so what? Who would dare respond?

"Well, I really…" Lin Tian was about to speak when Chen Xiaoxin suddenly jumped out and pulled him back, saying, "Brother Lin Tian, let's just let it go, okay? We've already won quite a bit from the first two rounds."

He had realized that if Lin Tian continued to push the issue, Ma Wu definitely wouldn't let him off. He was grateful to Lin Tian for winning so much money today, enough even to risk offending Ma Wu by stepping in to persuade him.

"Hehe... what's there to be afraid of? I came here looking for trouble; I'm just afraid they won't dare do anything to me," Lin Tian said with an easy smile.
