Chapter 386 - 358: Isn't this a bit too fast?
"Although I don't know why the Family Head chose you to be our leader, angering us comes with a price," Li Xiong said as he reached out towards Zhang Ya's face.
"Bang!" At that moment, the door to the room was kicked open, and standing at the doorway was a foreigner. When he saw Li Xiong reaching out towards Zhang Ya's face, his own face immediately filled with rage.
He vanished from the doorway in a heartbeat and appeared in front of Li Xiong the next instant, then kicked him in the abdomen and said, "Dare to touch her, are you seeking death?"
The newcomer was Albert, who had been following Zhang Ya the whole time. It was just that Zhang Ya hadn't let him enter a moment ago, but when he heard Li Xiong and the others talking to Zhang Ya, he couldn't hold back any longer and rushed in.
"Boom..." Li Xiong's body was sent flying backward. He felt a sharp pain in his abdomen and couldn't help but turn pale, then he got up and glared at the other party as he shouted.
"Damn it, dare to lay a hand on me, brothers, take him down."
"Yes, Brother Xiong." Several members of the Li Family nodded in unison, their gazes filled with mocking expressions as they looked at Albert.
"Foreigner, you're in the wrong place if you're meddling in our business."
"Hehe... maybe he's really powerful?"
"How could that be? Don't get fooled by the stuff you see on TV. Foreigners aren't as amazing as you imagine; many of them are even smaller than our youngsters."
"..."
"You, all of you, are going to die." Albert listened to the group's scorn and mockery, his face turning green with anger. He burst forward, charging at them all and striking each one with tremendous force. His speed was so fast that everyone couldn't react in time.
"Pfft..." Albert held nothing back, yet he didn't deliver killing blows. His superpower was enhanced speed and strength, and with full force, these people stood no chance against him; all of them spat out blood from their mouths.
"How, how is this possible?" The members of the Li Family looked at Albert, their eyes filled with shock. How could this man be so formidable? They were knocked down before they even got close to him.
"With such little ability, you dare provoke me. Are all you Huaxia people so overconfident?" Albert said disdainfully as he looked at the Li Family members.
"You..." The Li Family members' faces turned red with anger upon hearing this, but they couldn't utter a complete sentence, because, in fact, they were no match for Albert, and he had every right to say so.
"Hmph, how do you want to die next?" Albert ignored their expressions, snorted coldly, and raised his foot, ready to strike again.
"You can't kill us. Although you're powerful, if you offend the Li Family, they won't let you go," the Li Family members suddenly changed their expressions, realizing that Albert was indeed intending to kill them. They couldn't help but bring up the Li Family as their backer.
"Li Family? Are they that great?" Albert said with disdain as he moved his foot towards the closest person.
Seeing this, the man's face instantly turned pale with horror, completely devoid of the previous arrogance. All he had in his eyes now was deep fear.
"Albert, stop. They can't die yet." Just as Albert was about to bring his foot down, Zhang Ya spoke up from the side.
"Why, Ya?" Albert halted his foot, but his face was full of confusion. "They humiliated you like this; don't they deserve to die?"
"They certainly deserve to die, but right now they're still of use, so they can't die yet," Zhang Ya said with a dark expression. "We'll need them to deal with Lin Tian."
"What use could these trash have?" Albert scoffed without a shred of face for Zhang Ya's claim that the Li Family members were still useful.
"It's my business, you don't need to worry about it," Zhang Ya's expression grew even colder.
"Alright, alright, I'll listen to you—isn't it enough that I don't kill them?" Albert withdrew his foot, a look of resignation on his face.
...
September passed, but the weather in Wu'an City remained scorching hot, as if summer hadn't left, and in the blink of an eye, October arrived.
This was a month everyone loved, because it brought the long National Day holiday.
Everywhere was imbued with a festive atmosphere, especially in schools. Once Wu'an University announced the National Day holiday, all students began packing up, preparing to go home or to travel for a vacation.
Of course, that excluded Lin Tian. He had no plans to go home for the National Day holiday, nor did he intend to travel. Originally, he had planned to spend a sweet holiday with Bu Mengting and He Qianqian, but they were both going home to reunite with their families, which left him completely frustrated.
As for his family, he had already sent them money before the holiday so they could go on a vacation and relax. They were probably vacationing somewhere by now.
This had somehow resulted in him being a solitary figure.
"So frustrating, so frustrating, how come I'm left all alone?" Lin Tian sat in the school cafeteria eating alone, lamenting his situation.
Gazing at his meal, he felt no appetite.
"Lin Tian, why are you here alone? Where's Mengting?" Suddenly, a voice reached Lin Tian's ears, and he saw Shen Yiran approaching with a tray.
"She's packing up to go home," Lin Tian replied upon hearing Shen Yiran's question, feeling even more despondent, and couldn't help but roll his eyes as he spoke.
"Oh, aren't you going home?" Shen Yiran asked curiously.

"Why would I go home when I'm the only one there? It's better to stay at the university." Lin Tian answered irritably, thinking: Why does this little liar enjoy stepping on people's wounds so much?
Can't she see I'm annoyed by this?
"So you're going to stay for nine days?" Shen Yiran was shocked to hear that Lin Tian was planning to stay on campus. "Won't that be terribly boring? Why not come with and my sister to our hometown? It just so happens we're not planning to go out either."
"Is that not a bit too soon?" Lin Tian looked at Shen Yiran with an uneasy expression.
"What's wrong with it? And what do you mean 'a bit too soon'? I don't understand what you're talking about?" Shen Yiran was bewildered as she looked at Lin Tian.
"Aren't you saying that I should go with you and your sister to your home?" Lin Tian asked.
"Yes," Shen Yiran replied with a nod.
"Your parents will definitely be home, right?" Lin Tian continued.
"Yes, they don't have any plans and are definitely at home," Shen Yiran nodded again. "What are you trying to say?"
She still didn't understand what Lin Tian's words had to do with going to her home.
"What I'm trying to say is, although we know each other well, our relationship isn't official yet. Isn't it too soon to go to your house and meet your parents? What if your uncle and aunt don't like me?" Lin Tian said with a sly smile on his face.
What do you think?
