Chapter 1125: One Gu in the Crowd

Feng Jue stood up and walked over, grabbing the back of Shen Ran’s collar and pulling him back.
Shen Ran turned around, irritated. “Why are you pulling me?”
Feng Jue’s expression remained blank. “You’re blocking my view of my sister playing.”
Realizing this, Shen Ran moved aside to give Feng Jue space. As Gu Yang started another round, Shen Ran chimed in with instructions.
“Press this. Press that. Back up.”
When Gu Yang didn’t follow his directions, Shen Ran stomped his feet in frustration and reached out to grab her hand, eager to guide her step by step.
Feng Jue’s eyes widened. He reached out again and pulled Shen Ran back by the collar.
Shen Ran watched in exasperation as Gu Yang missed a key opportunity and lost the game character again. “Feng Jue, what are you doing?”
Feng Jue frowned, his little face serious. “In ancient times, men and women wouldn’t sit at the same table after seven years old. Men and women shouldn’t touch each other. Don’t touch my sister.”
Shen Ran rolled his eyes. “This isn’t ancient times. You’re being feudal, right? What’s wrong with me teaching Yangyang how to play games?”
Feng Jue remained firm. “No.”
Shen Ran replied, “Then I’ll marry Yangyang when I grow up.”
Gu Yang recognized Shen Ran was joking, but before she could respond, Feng Jue reacted intensely, staring at Shen Ran. “No!”
Gu Jin paused her game and looked at Shen Ran. “You? Are you worthy?”
Cao Cuo chimed in with a grin. “He’s not worthy.”
Gu Ying agreed, “I think so too.”
Seeing their serious expressions, Gu Yang couldn’t help but laugh.
Shen Ran, sensing the change in tone, grew serious. “Why?”
Feng Jue’s little face was resolute. “Because rabbits don’t eat the grass beside their nest. You all treat my sister as your real sister, right?”
Shen Ran nodded, and the others followed suit.
Feng Jue nodded in satisfaction and looked at Shen Ran. “That’s right. Sister and Shen Qin are both your biological sisters, so you can’t have any improper thoughts about her!”
Shen Ran considered this and found it made sense.
Gu Yang laughed, watching from the side. She reached out and pinched Feng Jue’s cheek. “What do you mean by that? You’re so young, yet you’re lecturing so much. Do you even know what you’re talking about?”
Feng Jue remained silent.
Of course, he knew.
As Feng Jue spoke, Shen Ran was about to reach out to grab Gu Yang’s hand, but he retracted it. “Yangyang, are you still playing?”
“I’m done.”
Gu Yang returned to the main page and noticed that the ID above Flower Fairy’s head was still the original character, so she clicked to change the name.
Shen Ran reminded her, “This game can only be changed once a year. Yangyang, think carefully.”
Gu Yang paused, struggling to come up with a name. She asked Shen Ran, “What’s your game name?”
Shen Ran raised his eyebrows. “Flame. Those who know me are familiar with it.”
After thinking for a moment, Gu Yang typed two words: Wuyang.
The game’s signature read: Safe and Sound.
She hoped to be safe and sound in this life; she didn’t want to die in a car accident like in her previous life after inheriting billions of assets.
“Wuyang. Yangyang, the same character?” Shen Ran asked.
Gu Yang replied, “No.”
Shen Ran pressed on, “Which one is that?”
Feng Jue quickly answered, “Sister is the one from the poem.”
This was a poem he remembered reading, where his sister’s name was mentioned.
“Huh?” Shen Ran was dumbfounded.
Gu Yang typed the character “Yang” on the computer. “It’s this.”
Shen Ran leaned closer, frowning. “It’s the same as my ‘Flame’ word. It’s so difficult to write. So, which ‘Gu’ is your Gu?”
Gu Yang couldn’t help but laugh. “Which other ‘Gu’ could it be?”@@novelbin@@
Gu Jin interrupted, “Mine is ‘Gu.'”
Gu Ying chimed in, “I’m the same ‘Gu.'”
Feng Jue refuted, “It’s not your ‘Gu’! It’s the ‘Gu’ from the poem too.”
When he read that poem in the book, he thought of his sister.
She looked back at the bustling crowd and smiled. Everything in the world paled in comparison.
It wasn’t about appearance or image.
Even if her beauty faded and she aged, as long as she remained herself, she would always embody that essence.
What do you think?
