Ultimate Village Doctor

Chapter 460 Rescue

Sanxi Township's health center was located right next to the township government building, where some lights were still on at night. Long Xiaoshan drove into the health center of the township.

After parking the car, Long Xiaoshan and Su Wan quickly got out.

An ambulance was parked at the entrance of the health center.

As the two of them walked in, they saw a stretcher carrying someone towards the ambulance, accompanied by a couple in their fifties or sixties, their faces filled with confusion and helplessness.

Upon seeing this, Su Wan hurried over and said, "Dad, Mom."

When the old couple saw Su Wan, they frantically called out as if they had found a lifeline, "Little Wan, oh, you've finally come back."

Su Wan was the capable one in the Su Family, having become a manager outside, and since she was the one taking care of the family's expenses, she was essentially the decision-maker in the Su Family; the Su's Parents would always turn to Su Wan for advice whenever anything came up at home.

"What happened? How is little Wu doing now?" Su Wan asked.

"The situation is very bad; he's still unconscious. They couldn't treat him here in the township and the ambulance just arrived to take him to the city," her father explained.

Su Wan hurried over to the stretcher and asked the emergency doctor, "Doctor, how is my brother doing?"

Initially somewhat impatient, the doctor softened when he saw Su Wan's elegant and extraordinary demeanor and beautiful appearance, and he replied, "You're the patient's sister?"

"Yes, I'm his sister." Su Wan looked at her brother beside the stretcher, noting the bandage around his head still oozing blood, his face pale and eyes tightly shut, and his face was swollen and distorted. Becoming nervous, she called out, "Little Wu, little Wu."

"Miss, please don't shout. The patient is in a deep coma. We suspect he has a hematoma in his brain and may require cranial surgery, so it's best you come with us to the hospital," the doctor said.

"Oh, all right, all right," Su Wan replied, about to let the doctor load her brother onto the ambulance.

A voice came through, "Wait a minute."

Long Xiaoshan walked over, stopping the stretcher.

The doctor had been courteous to Su Wan, the beautiful woman, but he was less so with Long Xiaoshan, the man, and spoke coldly, "What's the matter, can't you see this is urgent? Move aside."

"Exactly because the situation is urgent, I can't let you put him in the ambulance. It's over forty kilometers to the city, and the roads are difficult to travel at night. It'd take about an hour to transport him; by then, it will be too late for the patient," Long Xiaoshan said.

"You don't know jack." The emergency doctor, seeing a young man criticizing him, impatiently waved him off, "Get out of the way."

Yet, Su Wan's expression changed; she had blind faith in Long Xiaoshan's medical skills.

She had been too anxious earlier and forgot that Long Xiaoshan, the Divine Doctor, was right there. Now, hearing what Long Xiaoshan had said, her face turned pale as she asked, "Xiaoshan, what do you mean 'it's too late'? Is little Wu's condition that critical?"

Long Xiaoshan nodded and said, "The situation is very critical. An artery in his brain has ruptured, and there's a lot of accumulated blood; he definitely won't make it to the hospital for the cranial surgery."

Seeing Long Xiaoshan speak with such certainty, Su Wan became more anxious, "Xiaoshan, what should we do? You can save my brother, right?"

"Yes, I can save him, but it must be done quickly, or else the bleeding will cause brain damage, and even if he's saved, he'll become an imbecile," Long Xiaoshan said.

"All right, then please, hurry up and save my brother," Su Wan pleaded, pulling at Long Xiaoshan.

Long Xiaoshan wasted no time, pulling out his Golden Needle, ready to begin the treatment.

"What do you think you're doing?" the emergency doctor yelled.

"There's no time to explain, just get out of the way and don't hinder me from treating the patient," Long Xiaoshan said.

"Are you insane? Do you even know the patient's condition? And you're just spouting nonsense," the doctor said to Su Wan, "Miss, how can you trust someone whose intentions are not clear and let him treat such a serious injury? Who will be responsible if something goes wrong?"@@novelbin@@

Su's parents were also panicking. Compared to Long Xiaoshan, whom they had never met, they naturally trusted the doctor more and quickly said, "Little Wan, what's the matter with you? Let your brother get in the ambulance."

Su Wan said, "Mom and Dad, Xiaoshan is my friend. He's very skilled in medicine. Please trust him."

She turned to the doctor and said, "He is my friend; I trust him."

"What good is your trust?" the doctor said gravely, "It's so ignorant, Miss. You'd rather trust some dubious folk healer than us professional doctors? You better tell him to leave right now, or you and your family will regret it if you delay the treatment."

"Doctor, stop talking, just let my friend treat my brother," Su Wan said.

"This is madness," the doctor, seeing that Su Wan just wouldn't listen, became less polite, "If you really want to do this, we won't be responsible. If he dies, it has nothing to do with us."

"I understand, and I won't hold your hospital responsible," Su Wan said. She then immediately went to Long Xiaoshan's side, ignoring the doctor's words.

Long Xiaoshan's hand was on Su Wu's head. With a light swipe, the bandages came loose.

As the bandages fell off, the blood oozed out faster. Long Xiaoshan immediately inserted the Golden Needle into Su Wu's head and turned it a few times. The bleeding quickly stopped. Letting go of the Golden Needle, Long Xiaoshan's fingers pressed against Su Wu's head, continuously massaging it.

As he moved, a lot of dark blood seeped out, staining the pillow red.

As the dark blood seeped out, the swelling on Su Wu's face was also rapidly subsiding, gradually regaining its normal shape. The watching emergency doctor's eyes showed amazement. Initially, he didn't believe that Long Xiaoshan could cure the patient at all.

But Long Xiaoshan just pressed randomly, and the patient's swellings went down. The blood that seeped out was clearly a contusion.

Seven or eight minutes later.

Long Xiaoshan withdrew his hands, picked up the Golden Needle and pricked Su Wu's head for a moment, then took out an Elixir Pill and fed it to Su Wu, helping him dissolve the pill.

Su Wu's pale complexion gradually became rosy.

Suddenly, his eyelids twitched, and he opened his eyes.

Seeing Su Wu waking up, Su Wan, who had been anxiously watching, exclaimed with joy and hurriedly rushed to him, saying, "Little Wu."

"Sis... Why are you back?" Su Wu blinked a few times and asked.

"You should ask yourself that; did you forget your head got cracked open?" Su Wan said.

At this moment, Su's parents also rushed to the bedside and cried, "Little Wu, you're awake, that's wonderful."

"Dad, Mom," Su Wu called out.

"How is this possible," the emergency doctor said in disbelief as he came over. He had just examined Su Wu's wound and preliminarily determined that it was external trauma-induced brain edema, accompanied by bleeding symptoms. These required craniotomy surgery to remove the contusion and suture the wound, treatments only Western medicine could provide.

Yet, with just a few random moves of the Golden Needle, Long Xiaoshan had managed to wake the patient up.
