Chapter 470 Wangcai Mine Management Team
```
The village's Barefoot Doctor came over for an examination and, wiping the sweat from his forehead, said, "Secretary, this... we must rush him to the city hospital immediately, it might be too late to even save his life."
"Elder Lin, what's the situation, tell me!" Su Songwang sensed something was wrong.
"Youqian's private parts have been kicked to mush, his manhood is definitely beyond saving," the Barefoot Doctor said laboriously.
"My son!" A middle-aged woman beside them screamed and fainted.
"Mom." Su Dahu quickly caught her. A crowd gathered around, pinching her philtrum and massaging her chest, reviving the woman. Upon awakening, the first thing she said was, "Songwang, you must kill that little beast. Oh my son, how could this happen to you?"
Su Songwang's face turned an iron shade of green, his anger boiling inside him, though he was too cunning to show it.
He signaled for someone to drive Su Youqian to the hospital first.
Standing up with an aura of killing, Su Dahu said, "Dad, we absolutely cannot let this go. We must kill Su Wu and his good-for-nothing brother-in-law. Not just him, but his entire family. When has our family ever been so humiliated in the village, allowing someone to shit on our heads? If we don't kill him, how will we ever hold sway over others in the village again?"
Cold light flashed in Su Songwang's eyes; how could he not understand this logic.
Tall trees catch much wind.
Their family's "rule" over Baixi Village for so many years was due to sheer power; they used money to corrupt and cement relationships with those above, and employed harsh methods to suppress those below.
For many years, in Baixi Village, the Su family's word was law.
It wasn't just that no one dared to touch his son; even if their family dog bit someone, the injured party had to come over and apologize.
Yet today, his son's manhood had been crushed.
If he couldn't exact a severe revenge, the prestige Su Songwang had built over many years would collapse overnight.
Otherwise, more and more troublemakers like this would emerge.
However, he retained a shred of calm as he asked, "Wait a moment, doesn't Su Wu's sister work as some kind of hotel manager out of town? Does her husband have any sort of background?"
"Dad, what background could he have? We'll know everything after we catch him and beat him up," Su Dahu said carelessly.
"You know nothing. Have someone block the village path first so that no one escapes, then send some people to scout out the situation," instructed Su Songwang, who hadn't ruled Baixi Village for all these years without a healthy dose of caution.
"Alright then," Su Dahu went down to carry out the orders.
About twenty minutes later, Su Dahu came back and reported, "Dad, I found out everything. His sister Su Wan has already resigned. That guy seems to be from Hechuan, and he's not much of anything. Just yesterday, he drove a Great Wall SUV to drop off Su Wu and the others. He's nobody significant."
A sliver of cold light shot from Su Songwang's eyes, a man from Hechuan was an outsider.
Damn it, an outsider daring to strut on his turf.
And to drive a domestically produced car at that—if he really were somebody significant, he'd at least be driving a Mercedes or a BMW. Clearly, he couldn't be that important. He snorted coldly and said, "Dahu, you take the Protection Mineral Team and bring their whole family to me."
"Right away!" Su Dahu clenched his fists, his face twisted in a fierce expression, and went down. Experience more tales on My Virtual Library Empire
Su Wan's home.
Long Xiaoshan sat in the courtyard. He had noticed people snooping around the Su family's residence earlier, but he didn't pay them any attention. Certainly, they were sent by Su Songwang, and Long Xiaoshan couldn't be bothered with these underlings.
To avoid worrying Su's parents, the Su siblings did not mention the incident of kicking Su Youqian's "eggs."@@novelbin@@
The family sat in the yard, shelling edamame and chatting.
Long Xiaoshan asked, "Uncle, Auntie, what's the deal with the mine in your village? Is it all monopolized by your village secretary's family?"
Su Zhongshi, Su Wan's father, looked around and lowered his voice, "Xiaoshan, why are you asking about this?"
"Just curious. I heard from Su Wu that your village has a fluorite mine that's not small. In theory, this is like a gift of money from the heavens; everyone in the village should be getting rich off of it, right? But instead, the villagers seem to be living quite miserably," Long Xiaoshan said.
Su Zhongshi shook his head, "The mine has been contracted out to Su Songwang's family; the other villagers don't get a share of the money. Many families in the village work in the mine, earning just a meager wage. It's very dangerous down there, and one can easily lose their life by accident. There's no way to get rich."
"Such natural resources should belong to the collective, shouldn't they? How can he have it all to himself? Besides, in recent years there must have been new mine shafts discovered. Hasn't there been anyone to compete with them?"
"Compete? Who dares to compete? Su Songwang keeps a protection team of over a hundred people. There have been people who tried to challenge them before and ended up dead. After that, no one dared to anymore."
"The police don't care even when someone dies?" Long Xiaoshan frowned and said.
"The police?" Mother Su scoffed from the side, "This place is so remote; the emperor is far away, and the police can't manage it. There have been police officers who came before, only to be blocked by the Protection Mineral Team. They couldn't even enter the village. Besides, Su Songwang has money and bribes officials. How can ordinary people file complaints? And even if the complaints don't win, there's the risk of retaliation. In this secluded gully, they could just toss someone into the mine and claim they died from a fall while walking at night. Who could tell the difference?"
"Lawlessness," Long Xiaoshan muttered, discerning from Su Wan's parents just how domineering and tyrannical the Su Songwang family was in Baixi Village.
And this must be just the tip of the iceberg.
Su Wan's parents were ordinary villagers, unlikely privy to many of the inner workings.
Yet, those manifestations exposed were already shocking.
Illegal monopoly over the mines, deadly fights, intercepting police, retaliatory actions against whistleblowers...
Long Xiaoshan had initially intended to help Su Wu, but now, even without Su Wu's case, he resolved to thoroughly investigate these secrets and eradicate the village tyrant, to restore peace and order to Baixi Village.
Suddenly, a large number of footsteps could be heard outside, mixed with shouting.
Boom!
The front door of Su Wan's house was kicked open, and a flood of people swarmed in like wolves and tigers, dozens of them. All dressed in uniform black clothes with safety helmets, they carrried iron bars, machetes, homemade guns, and other weapons. The words "Wangcai Mine Management Team" were printed on their uniforms.
Su's parents stood up in a panic. Seeing the attire of these men, their faces turned ashen.
Wangcai Mine Management Team.
This was Baixi Village's notoriously feared Protection Mineral Team of the Su Songwang family.
Most of the members of the Protection Mineral Team were ruffians and hoodlums gathered from the outside by Su Songwang. Under the pretext of being a mine management team, they were effectively Su family's enforcers, who tyrannized the local area. Whenever someone did anything unfavorable or disrespectful to the Su Songwang family, the Protection Mineral Team would intervene, ready to beat, maim, and even take lives without second thoughts.
In short, in Baixi Village, the mere mention of the Protection Mineral Team could silence even a three-year-old child.
What do you think?
