Chapter 187: Chapter 183: End of Cadmus



[3rd POV] [Unknown Warehouse, after Kara's been "Captured"]

Sitting in the cell that was lined with Kryptonite, Kara let out a sigh. Mon-El was in the cell next to hers, as she "awoke" from her fake unconsciousness. She had learned how to fake unconsciousness thanks to Talia, who had taught her a few martial arts and techniques that would let her mimic various states of death.

"You okay?" Mon-El asked. He had been captured for quite a few hours now, and had been bored out of his mind. He had already tried escaping once, but had been captured rather quickly afterwards.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" Kara replied, sighing as she leaned back in the cell before getting to her feet.

"They captured J'onn too" Mon-El added, causing Kara to shake her head.

"Not J'onn. The human that J'onn assumed the identity of. Hank Henshaw. But he's been...enhanced in some way" Kara replied as she began to pull on the bars of the cell, only to realize that she couldn't break or mold them even the slightest bit.

"Don't bother. The bars are made of Nth metal from Thanagar. They're unbreakable. So...what is this place? Who are these people?" Mon-El asked, as he had zero knowledge on who these people were, or where he was. He was still pretty new to the world and its organizations.

"It's called Cadmus and is run by a bunch of scientists that want to wipe aliens off the planet. Solaris has been wiping out most of their bases and facilities, but it looks like this one escaped her sight" Kara replied, sighing as she leaned back against the cell bars,

understanding that she couldn't break them, even if she used her devil fruit. It would take Talia herself to destroy the cell.

"News just gets better by the second. So what, am I the lucky first contestant or something?" Mon-El asked, as he couldn't help but chuckle at his luck.

"No, if my theory is right, then you're the bait to get to me" Kara replied, knowing that this was the truth. Their talk was cut off as the doors to the area they were held, slowly opened as a woman walked in.

The woman known as Lillian Luthor, mother of Lena and Lex Luthor, and the leader of Cadmus. She was also quite similar to her son in her hatred/dislike of aliens.

"Supergirl. I don't believe we've been introduced" Lillian began as she walked in.

The second she saw her, Kara's eyes widened as she recognized her. She had been talking to Lena at one point and the woman had been there, meaning...

"You're Lillian Luthor, Lena's mother" Kara replied, knowing the truth.

"I'm a lot of things. A doctor, a patriot, a mother..." "A liar, a kidnapper, a killer. Does Lena know about Cadmus? Does she know who her mother truly is?" Kara cut her off, frowning deeply as she stared the woman in the eyes.

"And who are you to my daughter?" Lillian replied with a scowl.

"A friend"

"I've heard that before. Years ago, Superman came to my son, Lex, and promised him the world. A new dawn for mankind. Lex believed him, poor thing. And then he watched as your kinsmen infected this country with his propaganda, as his power became unchecked. And when Lex tried to take that power back, Superman convinced the world Lex was evil. My darling boy. My genius son. An actual Superman, behind bars for life. Because you and your kind will stop at nothing to poison the Earth" Lillian said, looking at Kara with what could only be described as disgust.

"You're insane"

"We'll agree to disagree"

"So what am I doing here?"

"I need something from you. I know from some of your cousins' fights, that when you expel enough of your heat vision, you deplete the solar radiation in your cells, leaving you as helpless as any mere mortal. I've designed this helmet to absorb the radiation" Lillian explained, as she placed a rather interesting looking eye piece in front of Kara.

"You want me to solar flare? Yeah, not going to happen"

"I don't believe you have much of a choice in the matter, as if you do not, well...the little Daxamite next to you will not live much longer" Lillian said with a small smile on her face, a rather...malicious one.

"My friend would beg to differ" Kara replied with a wide grin, as the roof above them was blown apart, shaking the hidden base as Solaris floated in, bathing the room in solar light.

"Wha-" "I'd suggest you don't even attempt to flee, Luthor" Kara said, grinning as Talia used the gate of babylon to push the Nth metal bars into the Gate, as they were free materials. "You knew we were going to capture you" Lillian said with a sigh, as she began to understand that she had been tricked, and rather brilliantly at that. Talia had been waiting for the right moment to go in, and wanted Kara to understand what Lillian was doing before she did, and now that she did, it was time to take care of Cadmus for good.

"Yep, and now you and all your little accomplices are going to be locked up for a long, long time. So...who wants to go first?" Talia asked, as the weapons flew from their hands, and around the compound, the other agents were knocked out. And from what she had found, Jeremiah Danvers was not there, which was a little concerning considering the man was still working with them.

"...Is there any way I can get out of this?"@@novelbin@@

[DEO]

No, no there was not. Lillian was captured alongside her accomplices moments later, and had no way of fighting back as they teleported off, reappearing inside the DEO, and like usual, scaring the crap out of J'onn and Alex like usual. Winn, who was there, jumped in fright.

"Could you stop doing tha-oh wow that is a lot of people in...cuffs?" Winn trailed off as J'onn and Alex looked at the group wide eyed.

"J'onn, here's your leader of Cadmus, alongside her closest ally" Talia said, as she pushed Lillian and Hank Henshaw forwards.

"This...how?"

"Well considering Mon-El was captured, I thought that maybe they were going to use him as bait to get to me, so I worked with Solaris to bait the capture, so we could then get the leader, in this case, that's Lillian Luthor" Kara said with a proud grin as DEO agents moved in and took away the captured Cadmus members, taking them to the cells that they had around the

building.

"That is...smart? Huh, didn't think you'd make such a great plan" Alex said with a look of surprise as Kara looked at her, offended.

"I will have you know that I make excellent plans!"

"Like?" Alex asked with an amused smirk as Talia watched, just as amused as her mate's

sister.

"I-well-just shut up!" Kara huffed, pouting as Talia cooed.

"It's okay baby, I think you make good plans" Talia said, pecking the girl on the cheek. Kara blushed at the praise, knowing that later that night she would have to give Kara a

"repayment" one that she knew Talia would very much enjoy.

Talia had similar thoughts inwardly, as she grinned widely, having only one thought on her

mind at that moment.

with. This means the next chapter will have a bit of an infodump, and a longer chapter at that. I'll try to keep it to a minimum though, as it'll only be from levels and no items or anything,

except maybe a title.
