Chapter 22 - The Elven Princess! Alya Amagil!

Chapter 0022: The Elven Princess! Alya Amagil!

After a brief conversation, Lin Xuan finally understood the whole situation from Alya’s explanation.

It turned out that the graveyard he had visited earlier was actually a dwarven burial site, where the ancestors of the dwarves had been laid to rest. At the time, he had enjoyed himself quite a bit, turning all the tombstones into stone materials.

But it didn’t take long for the dwarves to discover what had happened.

Given the dwarves’ temper, there was no way they would let him off.

Sure enough, the dwarves immediately sent people to report the incident to the Hundred Races Alliance, hoping to mobilize all the forces in the forest to find and kill him.

As a result, every member of the Hundred Races Alliance—including elves, dwarves, goblins, orcs, giants, behemoths, and many others—soon learned of this news.

Each race dispatched a team to search for Lin Xuan within their respective territories.

Among them, the elves sent out the most people, because according to the dwarves, after leaving the burial site, Lin Xuan had headed straight toward elven territory.

And that led to the current situation.

While searching for Lin Xuan with her team, Alya had been separated from the group when the Scourge of Mist suddenly descended upon them.

After wandering around aimlessly, she had ended up in this mine, where she encountered Lin Xuan.

“Those dwarves really do have a keen nose!”

After hearing Alya’s story, Lin Xuan couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

Fortunately, it was the elves who found him. If it had been any other race, he would have been dead already.

The elves were naturally peace-loving. While the Hundred Races Alliance had ordered Lin Xuan’s execution, the elven leader— the Elf Queen—had only given instructions to expel him from the Moon Spirit Forest.

“Let’s go, human. I’ll take you out of the Moon Spirit Forest now.”

Alya spoke as she prepared to lead Lin Xuan away.

Lin Xuan spread his hands and said, “Are you sure you can actually take me out?”

Alya thought he was resisting and immediately raised her large bow, aiming it at him.

“What? You want to fight back?”

Lin Xuan shook his head helplessly.

“Come on, you’re lost in the mist. Do you really think dragging me along will help?”

Alya froze for a moment, then awkwardly lowered her bow.

Lin Xuan added, twisting the knife a little further, “Besides, how can you be so sure that the dwarves are looking for me?”

“You’re human, aren’t you?” Alya responded with a look that clearly said, Don’t try to fool me.

Little did she know that in Lin Xuan’s eyes, she was already falling into his trap.

From what Lin Xuan had learned, elves had long lifespans, typically living around 800 years.

However, elves were also quite naive about the world, especially someone like Alya.

Although she looked about twenty years old, in reality, she was already over fifty.

For a human, that would mean she was wise and experienced.

But among elves, Alya was still just a child, barely comparable to a ten-year-old human girl—an innocent youngster who hadn’t seen much of the world.

Seeing that this little “girl” was taking the bait, Lin Xuan changed his approach slightly and said,

“There are many humans in the world. I am a human, but other humans are also humans.”

“Just like you—you’re an elf, but other elves are elves too.”

“So how can you be sure that the dwarves are looking for me, specifically?”

“For example, if someone is looking for you and simply says they’re looking for ‘an elf,’ how would they know it’s you they’re after? There are other elves, after all.”

With this string of reasoning, Alya was completely bewildered.

She felt like she understood something… but at the same time, it was as if she had heard nothing at all.

Her delicate brows furrowed, and her fair face flushed with frustration as she stammered,

“I… I… I… Anyway, you’re wrong! I am not an elf… wait, no, I am an elf.”

“No, that’s not right either… Anyway! I am Alya Amagil of the Elven Race!”

Lin Xuan chuckled.

“And what difference does that make?”

Alya puffed out her chest proudly.

“Of course it makes a difference! I, Alya Amagil, am the princess of the elves!”

“I’m not just any ordinary elf…”

That last part was muttered so quietly that she barely voiced it aloud.

But she didn’t realize that the moment she declared herself as the elven princess, Lin Xuan’s eyes lit up.

Lin Xuan had never expected that the beautiful elven girl standing before him was actually the princess of the elves.

An elven princess!

According to what he had learned, the elven princess was essentially the next Elf Queen.

Once the current Elf Queen stepped down, the elven princess would ascend to the throne, and a new princess would then be chosen from among the elves.

For countless generations, this was how the elves had determined their ruler.

Which meant that Alya Amagil standing before him… was the next Elf Queen!

At that moment, Lin Xuan took a deep breath.

All of a sudden, he thought of a certain overlord from his past life—the one who had subdued the Angelic Race.

That overlord had been able to remain unshaken in the apocalypse precisely because they had the Angels at their side!

Almost instinctively, Lin Xuan turned to Alya and asked,

“You’re the elven princess?”

“Then do you know how many elves your race has right now?”
